Danny, your building videos are above and beyond ♡ just excellent. Thank you for such attention to detail and for taking the time to film it for us. I know that must slow the process down for you.... thank you so much.
Yes so far i can do this. Thank you for the muscle saving tips and tricks along the way. so far digging and heavy bags is the hardiest part and you are included good techneeks along the way. Thank you so much.
I use to work construction and I can tell you Danny is going above and beyond on attention to detail. I have worked behind footing and concrete crews and they are very sloppy. Danny is showing the proper way to set a foundation and pillars. Great job Danny.
ncautoman57 Danny I built my own home in The Philippines. Your attention to detail is above and beyond. We use wire and bend our own. We use a hack saw and ordinary wire to hold the rebar in place. We have a home that has stood many earthquakes. I am looking forward to seeing the cabin that you build.
I loved this. So good to get a better idea of how construction works. Thanks for sharing so much including the times you change your mind on a detail. This is going to be good.
Danny, hubby and I had no idea you could get a concrete mixer like that and put on your tractor PTO. So glad to know!!! We are enjoying watching and learning!
So, as to load, you have to allow more for places like a bathtub that will be holding water which is very heavy? I guess you don't have to worry about frost line in MS, up north it's a definite consideration. This is so fascinating to watch, thanks Danny.
We could use Frankie today. Just finishing up the piers and could use 4 paws to pick up the bags of cement and blocks. Frankie (and you) are welcome anytime. Thanks
Danny, I am confused. Didn't yoou and Wanda decide the cabin had to wait because of financial issues and because the ready made cabins were too expensive. So have you now decided to build the whole thing yourself? From scratch?
Fiza Laheji We could not come up with that amount of money all at once and pay it back in notes. So we decided to build it ourselve an save the labor money plus take our time and pay for it as we go. Its called delayed gratifacation. Thanks
Hi Danny, you have great videos with a ton of details and I want to thank you a lot for that. Question - I'm in East Texas and we have clay and while I have no restrictions or codes for my area can you tell me what I would need to do for my pier? Would I need to go much deeper in the ground with concrete? I see people use these big cylinder tubes. My goal is to build a small cabin from this guys plans - plan-to-build.com/download-tiny-cabin-plans/, and live in it for a few years on the weekends while I slowly develop the land for a true homestead as my 2.3 acres is fully wooded. The goal down the road would be to build another cabin much larger and transition the first cabin into a shed or storage of some kind....So I don't know if I need to do concrete or not since I may end up moving the first cabin. Please advise...Thank you, sir.
