I hope TRD isn't short for "turd" 😆
That Honda 1.5 L Turbo has incredible gas mileage for the performance
Was that you, Scottie??
@@eaea8326 lol
The entire car industry has been shocked so many times in the last few weeks that it's been electrocuted to death!
The word "shock" is less shocking than it used to be haha
The only thing that has 'shocked' me is how stupid buyers of new cars are at these prices!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@gwats19577 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I seem to have fallen down a RUclips Algorithm where China keeps 'Shocking' the World and its Economy will collapse next week.
This has been going on for over a year now. But because idiots like me keep watching the vids, more keep being made...
My Celica and I are starting to believe that Scotty is becoming an Acura/Honda man.
Scotty belongs to the streets
My Acura RL has been hurtin my pockets tell u that’s real
💪
They gave him a few bands
He's everything. If good if bad as it is.
For the 21st time the industry is shocked.
…. This month!! 😆😆😆
Bwahaha
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe there is a short somewhere and Scotty can hook up his expensive scan tool to find it. 😂
😂😂😂
Honestly would’ve been shocking had they put the Accord 2.0t motor in it
I think you would enjoy the 6-speed manual, A-Spec w/ Tech even more! I agree, Scotty not everyone wants or needs an SUV. This one is high on my list.
8:42
Thank you scotty for mentioning this! Some people including myself don't particularly care for an Suv, Crossover, or Pickup and just want a simple small Sedan, or Coupe that gets good gas mileage!
My first three cars were Acura, integra, TL and RDX. After driving my truck, I'm missing my Acuras. I love that the Integra came back. Really want one with the six speed.
I got one with the 6 spd worth it 100%
Scotty, so glad you did this review, as i just picked up my 23 integra last week and i HIGHLY value your opinions. We traded in our 23 jeep compass as i told my wife how much the value will drop, and doesn't have the longevity of a honda transmission or engine! So far, absolutely loving the integra!
I love my new Integra specked out just like that one. It's a fun-driving car.
Can confirm everything he's saying here. I bought a new Integra a couple months ago and I absolutely love it. Great gas mileage, good price, all the amenities I could ever need. I was looking at Civics and they were too expensive!
Never thought Civic will be considered to be too expensive, but here we are. Was considering a Civic si, but price goes up to ~40k with all the markups. Integra has way better ride, sound system, and a HATCH.
@@kenv8166 civic at brazil is a luxury car 😅
Hey Kyle. What Integra trim have the SI engine? Does it come on the basic trim?
@@markie0320 yes all the Integra trims have the SI engine. You can't get a manual on the base trim though.
@@kylehudgins5255 How much was it?
I must say I agree completely with Scotty regarding the SUV trend.
How many times have you seen those mammoth vehicles with more than 1 passenger?
Yes, rarely.
Its insane how inefficient that is, and speaks volumes about the mindset of the average consumer.
Honda is the best hands down. I have a 1993 Honda Accord that is my project car. Swapped out the non VTEC f22a1 for the f23a1 VTEC. Runs and drives great. Also 5 speed swapped it and I'm about to fix the rust and completely repaint it. Love this car to death, my mom had one, thus why I love these cars. Runs and drives great with 30k on the engine and transmission and 256k on the body. Also got the nice OEM Honda prelude fan blade rims on it. Those are some of the only rims Honda made that are designed to cool down the breaks.
😂😂
Sounds like a shitbox, tbh. Get an H22 in there.
CB7’s are the best. I’ve had 4 over the years. One had a JDM H22A and many mods.
Love this car so much, no matter what people say Acura put a lot of work in this car
what do people say?
Scotty, glad you got your hands on an Integra. I have a manual and boy is it a blast in these mountains as my daily. This car is underrated and underpriced in my opinion. Many complain about the price, but you’re getting a lot for your money. Very satisfied. I should bring my six speed to you for you to have a little fun with. You’d have to drive throw it around on a curvy road to understand and appreciate it. The limited slip differential is remarkable on this Integra.
From the land down under Scotty, great job you never disappoint with your reviews.
Scotty your videos made me a home mechanic 😂
I'm SHOCKED by SHOCKING Scotty . . . SHOTTY!
🥱🥱
Happy Monday! Scotty hope you having a bless day that color looks awesome on the Car.
4:55 if the wheels pop or tires get bent he can get them fix 🤣 I'm sure Scotty caught it and left it there.
Scotty's videos are the best for many reasons
Great video! Thanks!
Scotty, your amazing reviews are going to start cutting into Doug's revenue soon! Love your take on it. I do wish they offered a 2 door version as well. Now, how about a Scotty score?
Good to see you're getting better Scotty 👍 🤠
I simply loved your video Scotty! Thank you so much for your information!
Scotty been watching your channel for a while but when you were talking about winter tires always put four on not just the front
Thinking of trading in my 2015 Honda accord coupe for this. Thanks for the review!
I only really trust Scotty! Keep us on the straight path brother. Thanks
❤❤🎁🆙
Nice video, but didn't the 1.5L Earthdream engines have engine oil dilution problem?
Love Scotty's videos! :)
Great job as usual
Its a fastback sedan. Not just a regular sedan. Thats why people are loving this car. Practical, sporty, premium to luxurious feel inside when fully loaded. Great mpg too. Reliable. Acuras #2 best selling car. MDX is #1.
Love it! I only wish he would have opted for the manual though.
Thanks Scotty. Based on this video, I just picked up a 2024 Acura Integra manual shift.
I'm happy with my 2022 Civic and eventually would like an Acura and appreciate the interior similarities.
❤❤🎁⬆️
The old Integra had double wishbone suspension hence the better ride.
Got one rn, in the process of making mine a cvt race car
Drove one of these about 30 miles a few weeks ago. LOVED it. My goodness these are perfect! Make sure you ONLY use premium and keep up the maintenance.
These turbo engines are different. Regular oil changes and regular maintenance. These will last forever.
i needed this video. very curious about the integra. bought a 2022 1.5t accord in april and it’s very similar
*_My favorite RUclipsr! #1!_* Scotty, I still like my Ford Edge (even if I just paid $2,000 to replace the PTU) but this Honda is nice! 👍
Way to SHOCK us SHOCKING Scotty . . . SHOTTY!
Scotty your videos made me a home mechanic
Scotty you are awesome😂 wow like your reviews
Great review. I agree, SUVs are ridiculous in most situations.
What about the Honda Prelude? Could that car come back and be a sports sedan or other type of sedan with an auto? Thanks this video is spectacular.
Seems like the Honda sedan market is a little crowded between the Accord and TLX. I'd like to see the Prelude name attached to a new model influenced by the S2000. Something aspirational, but more attainable and fun than an NSX.
I have a cr-v which I love, but I’m usually in my car alone and I’m thinking about going with a smaller car next time. Like this one.
Just got my 2024. Love this thing
That Honda model looks hella fantastic.
My heart just melted oh my I have a 2008 Honda Accord 3.5 L for some stupid reason I had to get the starter replaced but she's still just zoom zoom with the three and a half liter with that light frame the gas mileage I get is equal to the 4 cylinder VTEC but unlike the 4 cylinder I have the 6 cylinder running about 280 horsepower they say 270 but that's what the factory rating is it's been worked on a few times by Honda technicians and I don't know any of those guys that don't love the three and a half liter
“If the wheels pop and the tires get bent”
Oh dang, I didn’t realize they could do that. Ive been looking at it backwards my whole life!
They stopped making the Integra because the Integra nameplate was starting to overtake the Acura brand. Which is so shortsighted imo, I was brought home with my twin from the hospital in the 90s in a first gen 1989 2 door hatchback , 5 spd. I loved that vehicle many many fond memories.
I currently have a 2021 Accord Sport SE, and it's a blast!!
❤❤🎁🆙
Up here in Alberta I'll take awd , but if I lived in Vancouver I would get front wheel drive
The shock is what a lame FWD econobox that Honda foists on the market as an Acura. The ILX was a big, fat fail, so no surprise they dumped the brand and dragged out the Integra name from the back room. Go ahead and use the word need a bunch of times related to the lack of AWD, at the end of the day Acura has a non competitive offering which lacks AWD.
I love the design of the new acuras and Hondas. They look like modern rovers
older ones are classics
🥱🥱
@@RohanSanjith not as 🥱 as you mate 😂
94;Acura integra red 223k. Bought new in 1993. Still awesome stick shift coupe.
@J Beav Now that's a car!!! Keep the timing belft changed and it will last forever as i'm sure you already know. Just like my 93 Ranger 5 speed with 317K on the original drive and powertrains.
I use it to deliver groceries for Instacart and I will get the timing belt changed at 300k.
❤❤🎁⬆️
Do u have any videos on the new chrysler pacificas?
Honda should build a two-door version of the Integra, like they did back in the old days, since those are the most popular cars with the tuner crowd
Scotty you don't have to pay $13K extra for the manual...it is just that the manual is only available on the A-Spec (top of the line) model.
If you don’t want the top of the line, that is a difference without a distinction.
...so you're saying you have to pay 13k extra for the manual...
SCAM all the same.
@@fordhouse8bNo it's a distinction WITH a difference because the price difference is like 2.5k not 13k. I have no idea where that number came from but its absolutely false.
I don't need AWD but I do need 4WD (for winter/snow driving).
front/rear lockers too.
Have had the 23 a year and a half in manual a spec, get 34-35 mpg and love driving it. Forgot how fun a manual is to drive! It has rev match, which I like, I’ve got a business partner who hates it in his older Acura. I think it makes downshifting super smooth.
i have that same car love mine
The first car that I bought new off the lot was a 1990 Acura Integra, 2-door hatch-back, red pearl, with a 5-speed standard, and a radio with a cassette player - reversible at that. I put about 100,000 miles on it in 5 years. Then I got married. Then had a kid. The next 6 years saw only about 40,000 more miles go on it. In all, I got 11 years of use out of it before I had to let it go.
gnarly
Finally a Acura with a real name is back
❤❤🎁🔝
Honda rules! Ive known this since my first little red 50cc Honda dirtbike at 6 years old!!
Between the 2023 Acura Integra and 2023 Honda Civic Sports Touring which would be more beneficial for a first time car buyer?
mine is suppose to be made next week, same apex blue with orchard interior got the tech, and manual though.
The entire car industry shocks everytime Scotty post a new video...
It seems Scotty has changed his mind on the Honda 1.5L turbo-charged engine. Why the 180 Scotty ?
Bring back the Prelude... w/ rear wheel drive. Maybe a Type R?
We had to Acura integra's best little fast cars that got get fuel economy the horn looks like the same style from my 1991
I always thought the Civic and ILX and Integra were built on the same platform anyway. Honda just calls it something different cuz of a few interior upgrades. My CRX Si had a 1.5 as well! Wish i still owned it. Thanks Scotty.
Same with Nissan/Infiniti Toyota/Lexus snapperhead
The ilx is on the 9th gen civic frame, comes with a k24 and a dct and the older models had a manual option. It seems like the new hondas and acuras are abandoning the 2.4’s sadly, and also the dct’s
Somebody went 1,000,000 miles in a CRX!
Nice car. I would still pay extra for the 6-speed manual. My wife bought a brand-new Mazda 3 Hatchback with the 6-speed manual.
Mazda makes the best manuals on the market. I have a manual Accord, Civic, Mazda 3 and Infiniti G35. The G is the worst. The Mazda is the smoothest and most responsive. I’d gladly buy another Mazda 3 or 6 in a manual.
what year 3? I found the previous 3 to have stiff and rubbery shifter
U should do a video on Alfa Romeo’s 2.0 liters and what u think of them
Hi Scotty, have you seen the new GR Corolla from Toyota? What are your thoughts on this sporty hatchback? Thanks.
I really like that color! Definitely a bummer about the high price for a stick shift though, ouch :(
@@jamesvandamme7786 Same situation here. missed my golf mk5(rabbit) standard so much. That's before I got married.
I love Honda because they still make Quick enthusiast cars at a generally affordable price. I just wish they made something RWD like an S2000 again.
Nothing quick about this
Scotty, 87 or 91 Octane recommended? Glen
Same here. Same price range as the civics out there.
I like the old Dial's and Gauge's instead of computer screens. God bless everyone!
Ill get a suv when its too painfull to get out of my Crosstour!
Love it. How much?
Snow Tires work Pretty Good if the Bottom don't Drag.
This is my favorite car a civic and integra those are fun to drive period, thanks for that review
I actually think Honda makes one of the best AWD system. The SH-AWD they put in Acuras
❤❤🎁⬆️
Yea my mom's 07 Rdx is great with AWD and it still does great in the winter.
Yeah I have an ‘09 MDX and the SH-AWD is amazing
Yeah, daily driver with CVT is great, smooth. Acura, its like blessing, compared to the Infinity as well not just Lexus, comparing apples to apples. By the way, Scotty you were not too fond of the 1.5 Turbo engine, this one. But I guess Honda is ready to put in the Integra, then its Good for sure, now we know. Recently, I watched a guy that swears that he changes the oil on the CVT at 50,000 and he has 200,000 almost on the CVT with no problems. I get the point wait for 5 years to see if the CVT lasts before you buy the car because everything else You know is good, besides the fact that you like Toyota, but this got your eye for sure. The lower gril on the front is Honda thing again, like on Honda Civic 2006 MK8 sold in Europe. You had fun with this one, the face you made when you accelerated.Fantastic episode. Thanks.
😂 I live in the same area, got the insurance on my wheels with my 22 Si
I just bought a 23 Tech CVT, its AWESOME and its a hatch. Car drives and handles like a dream. Getting 31 mpg in the City
Car was Acura CPO with 2300 miles and never titled, sales manger drive it. I paid $34900 out the door and got a 7 year 100k warranty on the entire car plus 2 free oil changes and 2 tire rotations
I always liked the looks of the Honda Prelude. Don't know about performance, but it was in my opinion the Best looking Honda car.
@Yamaha Rider funny how you mention that today, because next weekend I’m getting a 1986 Dark grey prelude towed to my house, with 234,000 elderly driven miles. The old man owned it from new up until 2020, & it’s been sitting since.
I got a used 2024 Integra with a manual with only 2400 miles for $33k before taxes, and that was with the extra dealer crap tacked on. It's still a brand new car, and I got it cheaper than what most Si's in my area go for. Now's a good time to look for Integras!
I bought tire and rim insurance on my 2017 Mercedes Benz GLA250. Fell into a huge pothole in Montreal and mucked up two rims. Dealer says...that's not covered. You have to break the rim for it to be covered. Well..if I break the rims I probably have a lot of other damage that will be covered by my auto insurance. So, for me, tire and rim insurance was not worth the 1,100 dollars. But it has been a good car... only stuff I have had to replace were the batteries (there are two of them) and a set of winter tires.
I remember when Honda came out with The Acccord. They were Really Great Cars.
If is not rusted out it is still good car
Another detail about the Integra is that unlike CLA, A3, CT4, and 2series gran coupe, this has hatchback practicality. Honda is expecting to release a Civic Hybrid for N. America soon, and I hope that's a hatch. Trunked sedans are showing their downsides, but it doesn't mean that CUV is always the answer, and that's what hatchbacks prove.
Also small station wagons. I have a 2013 TSX sport wagon and I have a fun to drive sporty car that’s also practical. You make a very good point, SUV’s are not always the answer.
Civic Hybrid is already in EU at least
Why hatch better than trunk sedans ?
@@whatsupdude trunks have their downfall with cargo. Hatches simply store more, and you won't worry about the uncertainty of whether hinges will crush cargo
Great review.
I ended up with the 2024 integera. I’m happy with it but with 600 miles on it. Only just then did something start rattling inside the cabin. I hope it’s something I left in the truck rolling around.
Would love to see one of the new Corolla 2023 hybrids on here Scotty.
Hey Scotty, since this is a direct injection engine like the Honda civic wouldn’t there be a concern for oil dilution?
Only if you drive short trip like 3miles in cold weather. Otherwise no worries. Many other DI engine has oil dilution too
Honda already fixed it when the Accord's 1.5 turbo came out, all 1.5 turbo in the tenth-gen Civic and the CRV might have oil dilution in the cold weather(Not 11th-gen Civic & newest CRV), as I said, they already fixed it with the newer version of the 1.5 turbo (ex. the Accord's 1.5 turbo)
2019 or 2020 and up have been fixed
My wife's 14 escape has the 2.0 ecoboost , with direct injection and a turbo and has no issues
@@meeralrafee1875 nah. My 21 civic has oil dilution just not serious
Love My Camry 2005 XLE V6. Put a new set of Goodyear Comfort Tread Assurance tires, fantastic comfortable ride. Original owner with 22k miles. My 2013 Elantra GT is fun for exhilaration and the glass panel roof. My BMW X1 SUV/SAV sits , looking goregeous but rarely driven. If I had to pick one new car replacement for the three today it would be a sedan and maybe the new Integra or else for sure a Toyota. Ride Safe and enjoy your ride.
Looks like a suped up civic to me! Not quite luxury but fancy enough to turn heads. Good first car for college grad starting new professional career!
Integra always had a 4 door option.
Nice! Now if they brought back the Legend, I would actually consider getting one of those.
the legend turned into the RL/RLX but they discontinued that in 2020
Totally agree. The 1991 and up Legends were spectacular! Nice low and stable handling. With a newer V6 the same car would be so sweet!
Loved my Acura Legend!
These cars are very sharp. Got my wife a TSX and I always want to drive it
Reminds me of my Mazda 6 signature edition. Except my Sedan has another liter on the engine, 50 extra horse power, and a 6 speed automatic transmission. Too bad mazda decided to stop sell the Mazda 6 in the us. Glad Acura brought sporty luxury Sedan.
Scotty, What about the oil dilution in these 1.5 liter turbo engines from Honda? Have they fixed it now after what 6 years now?
So what?every company has issues. Honda and Toyota are the most reliable. And he has said 100 times the gf6 oil fixes that issue, somehow. I don't remember but I think its the gf6 oil. And yes...they fixed it
No they never completely fixed it. Its their crappy direct injection.
@@richsweeney1115 From your answer, it feels like you are targeted and taking it so personally... Easy man!!! I am 5 X times Honda Owner from UK, My last one was a 2009 Accord with the 2.4L + Manual transmission (Acura TSX in US), a wonderful machine . I was considering a 2017/18 Civic with the 1.5 L turbo ( 180 HP) but was discouraged due to the risk of oil dilution been raised by Scotty several times. And since I have full respect for this man's knowledge and advises, I was just wondering, how come now he is recommending that 1.5L turbo in that new Acura? Have they fixed that dilution issue. I also heard( but not as frequent) that the turbo itself have issues and not as reliable as you might expect from Honda. Anyway, I was looking for pure expert from Scotty regarding this engine. My other choice will be a 2017/18 Lexus IS300h ( 2.5L + eCVT)...Cheers
@@crazzyoboy Well you should base your decision on noise, comfort, and economy. Very different between the two lines of cars. Fuel dilution was reduced for 2018 and later Civics and the turbos are excellent quality. To address fuel dilution you can use a better oil, break it in properly helps seal rings better, and oil change at 4-5k works out fine. Honda gets 10mpg better than the IS Lexus but the IS better looking, quieter and has smoother engine.
