    Love the review! I started out with an 06 TSX Aspec 2.4L+5AT; which, was an Acura version of the European Honda Accord. The new Integra is an improvement in every way over my 06 TSX. Sooooo much functionality with the 5-dr hatch design. Acura needed a very good entry level sedan to get younger buyers into the Acura family. Acura just needs an entry level CUV below the RDX.

    I really like your car. I tested one for about 15-20 minutes. It was amazing. My wife did not like it as much. Said it was a "boys car" we will need to share the automobile so we ended up with the Civic sport touring. I like it well enough. I just can't stop thinking about the Integra. Hope I get over it soon. Enjoy your car. It's very nice.

    The CVT is for the people who intend to enjoy lot of trips. (I know Acura’s CVT can do up to 47 mpg highway) which is excellent.
    If you want just the enjoyment of the manual that is still an option but your fuel dramatically drops to around 36 mpg highway and like 28 mpg city.

    You go on about buying top of line package alot, and while it's true it's the best one, obviously. I feel that's when it'd price gets nearer to full luxury cars. Which makes the value less attractive.
    However the base integra, is entry level luxury car at much lower price than competition, which makes value high.
    It's like if I'm gonna spend 32k, would I rather get a standard car like the civic touring or a luxury car like base integra, and I'd choose integra.
    But if I'm gonna spend 40k+ I'd rather get a full luxury car with much more power than acura, such as audi or Mercedes.

    Wait. So after the 3 year complimentary service is over, owners of the Integra would have to pay a monthly subscription if they want to keep using the remote start feature that is already integrated into the car? If that's the case, I'm taking the Integra off of my short list for my next car. I know VW does that too. And with both brands, that is a disgusting level of obscene greed.

    Hey man, I have been running my integra (2500 miles so far) on 87 Octane (minimum). I have been thinking of running it on 91 (recommended). Is it worth it to spend .80 cents more per gallon switching over to 91? I haven’t had any issues running it on 87. Needed some advice form another teggy owner.

    • @Prozgen
      @Prozgen  Год назад

      Hi Johnathan,
      I use Shell Nitro+ 93 all the time and Costco premium gas rarely and I am at 4500 miles now. I never had regular 87 on my Integra. I previously had ILX 2019 and did the same. I would suggest having 91 and more as it might have better performance. Running on 87 Octane might not make a difference now but in the long run, the efficiency and performance of the engine will go down. This lead to less mileage as well. Again, its our choice depending on our interests. As I did not try 87 on this, I cant properly tell you the difference on this vehicle.

      Higher Octane gas is a waste of money, if you are trying to guage fuel efficiency per $ spent. I use low Octane in all of my cars, even the cars that recommend 91 or higher. If you want peak power, then yes, higher Octane helps, but for me I would rather save the cash and risk losing 5 horse power. I am not racing.

    • @mrgold3591
      @mrgold3591 Год назад

      The latest generation of Acura should show you on the fuel door the recommended and minimal fuel octane levels. My 18 RLX and 19 MDX say "91 recommended" and "87 minimal". What is probably as important is using Top Tier fuel like you find at Costco. Top Tier has detergents that will help keep the engine cleaner than non-top tier fuels over time. You can search "Top Tier gas" to find stations in your area. You are 100% fine running +87 Octane if it states that on the inside of the fuel door.

    • @danc2014
      @danc2014 Год назад

      The gas cost from 87 to 91 is normally only 30 cent gallon in the US. As for the turbo 4 it needs the high octane to get the performance numbers you see advertise. The CVT transmission will not rev the motor as high if you put lower grade gas. Are you in sport mode or economy? Basically if you find you are flooring the gas a lot you shoild use the high grade.

      Because some people do not enjoy manual shifting but still want a sporty car to drive. We test drove an Integra today with the CVT and really enjoyed it. Since we both have in town commutes with stop and go traffic, the 6 speed manual is not an option for us. The higher MPG and the and faster 0-60 times with the CVT make it the better choice for us.
