Great video. For people that don’t like cvt that’s exactly why they also offer the 6 spd. I believe that only RUclips reviewers do not like cvt because god forbid they admit it on video hell will freeze over. I don’t race, don’t do the 0-60 crap so for daily driving the cvt is better. About to pick up the cvt with tech package tomorrow.
That’s a fair point. For everyday driving to work, the store, etc. a CVT is going to be better than a traditional automatic or manual transmission. It’s a lot smoother. My only gripe is that Acura is a premium brand, that considers itself to be sporty. It would make sense to put a traditional automatic in a car like this, to fit their marketing strategy. Plus it would help differentiate it more from the Civic.
I thought this was another regular integra video till I started seeing the surroundings and it made it so much better since I’ve at that same beach and area. Just made the video more enjoyable knowing it was taken so close by
Great to see this on a road I've driven on in my 2009 Civic 5 Speed Manual-recently. One comment-front limited slip differential -with the A spec manual-from all reviews "pulls you around corners", and greatly reduces torque steer. So if I get the Integra-it will be manual.
Agreed, but the RC is on an extremely old chassis, plus it is more of a comfortable car. Maybe Lexus could have put a more aggressive adaptive damper system, where sports plus gets really stiff. That I think would have solved the floaty feeling that I have with the RC
Drive both. There's also a weight difference. The Integra handles like a Corolla SE. Nimble and light. The Lexus rides like a premium brand supposed to.
I think for everyday driving, the CVT does it’s job. Most people who will just commute to work or the store will find the CVT to be good, since it’s pretty smooth. It’s when you push the car a bit, like merging on the highway or driving through a back road, is when the “rubber band” affect kicks in. Plus the car just sounds terrible, and I think the CVT makes it even worse. Which is why I dislike pushing this car.
Yet another great video, Bay Area Drives. How is the sound sound proofing in this car vs. your RCF? It may just be me, but I notice that it seems a little bit louder (road noise much more prominent in this one). Still doesn’t sound too loud tho.
Sound proofing on the Integra isn’t really comparable to the RC, the RC is in another league. I’ve owned a Mazda 3 turbo premium plus before the RC, and the Integra is about as loud as that on the highway. I still feel like the Mazda was a bit quieter, but tires could’ve played a factor.

As a daily driver, the CVT works. A DSG would be much better. I wish they would get rid off the sunroof! Takes up too much headspace!
Watching this in my Integra A Spec while parked here at the Golden Gate Bridge Plaza 🌁
What a coincidence.
Nice lawnmower.😊
Lexus needs to step up their RC if a FWD like an Integra can out maneuver it. Sad

Not in straight line
@@jayczyzyk9707 straight line =/= maneuverability

What all does the HUD show?
Speed, direction, and when you you use Apple Maps it shows you when to turn left/right if you have a destination set.
the front reminds me of a crab. no idea why. maybes its the hood
I can see that, it’s got a lot of lines on the hood. It’s a cool view from the drivers seat.
Hey guys, I don’t think he likes the cvt.
Babe wake up Bay Area drives posted a video

How's the CVT transmission in this? The one in my Accord Sport sucks in my opinion and is the only weak link in a perfect sedan.
