I’m a sales guy at a Honda dealer. People say interior is great but hard to get over how the outside looks, CR-V and the Civics are the best sellers here.
I liked the look of the accord. I liked the way the hybrid touring rode. I was ready to buy. But the dealer experience at the three local dealers in the Sarasota area was horrible. So I went back to Audi.
@@doxydoxdelamanca9902 Most Honda dealer still think that they are the only ones in the market, my local dealer hides over 150 cars around a blind corner and put about 20 new cars on the lot.
100%. Love the 10th gen. My Acura TLX lease was up and I wanted to look at a hybrid. I kept trying to talk myself into the Touring model of the Accord. I just couldn't get over the exterior look. You have to like walking up to your car or looking back at it. I just couldn't get there with the Accord Touring unless it was a specific color at the just the right angle. Any other model, color or angle..... If I get a hybrid, it'll be a Camry XSE or Civic Touring. (car is just a daily driver for me. kids are grown and trips are in the wife's SUV)
The Accord is SUFFERING from it’s looks. I am a Honda guy and want an Accord but I can’t look at it. The design team for the Accord should be looking for new jobs.
They are making all of the new generation Honda’s quite hideous. So bad that it seems to be on purpose, as it would actually take effort to make a modern vehicle look like it was made at least a decade ago. The worst one is the HR-V IMO. The CR-V is the only one that has improved in terms of exterior looks lately. I expect they will demolish that as soon as they can.
Same way I feel about the CRV…the previous gen looks way better than the current gen…but it’s a good car that’s why it still sells. But stylistically…no comparison.
The 2022 Accord's styling is very attractive! Then, the Accord designers lost their mind. How can you just such an attractive design and produce one the ugliest cars on the car market? For those who like the current design, I respect that. For most of the buying customers, we say "Nope!" Shame on you Honda.
@alexanderkennedy296910th gen production was just 4 years, so if it comes within 6 months that wouldn't be unreasonable imo. Especially with these sales numbers
Same. And I've had a total of 4x Honda Accords since 2011. The 11th gen is a good car, don't get me wrong, but versus the 10th gen? It's a step backwards. I can't even go for the Sport because it's so much slower than my car. Besides gas mileage, there is nothing about it that I want. Honestly, I would sacrifice 6-7mpg if they released a hybrid with equal performance to my 2.0T.

the Civic is now the size of what the Accord used to be. I had a 97 Accord that I put over 100k on with zero issues before getting t-boned at a stoplight. If I were to get a Honda 4 door now, I would choose the Civic
Consoul, I can attest to the Civic’s larger size as of late. I had a ‘16 Civic EX, and it was the same size as a mid-2000’s Accord I was looking at previously, body-wise, interior-wise. I would say that Civic’s interior is bordering on the mid-size segment. Sadly I don’t have the Civic anymore (collision with semi) 😢
My God the same thing happened to me I had a 99 Camry solara V6 manual transmission vehicle. It ran flawlessly until someone t-boned it at 297000 miles.
Funny enough, I actually had a 95 accord with 148k, ended up totalling it. I've driven both the civic, and accord.. They feel the exact same, so I went with the new Civic. A great upgrade in terms of everything, except the acceleration isn't too different 😂
I had a civic sport touring for 10 months, I really enjoyed the car. I only got rid of it because I really wanted the integra Type S and got one for MSRP and came into a little money, otherwise I’d still be content with it, it actually had some bells and whistles absent on my Type S.
My God, get to the point. 21 minutes of air space for 4 minutes worth of information. How do you expect people to spend their time? These are honest thoughts and not trying to be ugly.
1- they made the Accord ugly.2- Total disrespect to the gas engine no longer being a EXL. 3- The cloth upholstry in LX/EX is also cheap and ugly. Which leads to 4- Do a total refresh in 2025. I will keep my nicer 2014 EXL Accord.
Hard to get rid of my 2013 EXL Accord. If only they made an OEM hitch for it, I wouldn't even consider getting a new car. Surprising for a first year model, I have experience zero issues other than the seat memory stop working right before warranty expired. It's a great car and probably the last well designed Accord. The door is lined with soft touch materials, which will be a hard find in even top trim these days.

I feel like the sales really plummeted when they decided to give it a weaker powertrain than the previous person and make the styling so very anonymous. Hopefully they can give it a more powerful engine option and more substantive updates during the refresh.
@@ItsAlive111 not even my grampa bro.. Grandma. I'd rather get the civic hybrid than that Accord personally buy I'd get the Camry before either of them
The Accord's exterior styling sucks. It just looks boring. Plus two of the biggest selling points for prevous generation (manual transmission and the K20C 2.0t) are dead. Not to mention, since the 2016 model year, the Civic has been a pretty large car. It's big enough to comfortably fit 4 6 foot+ aldults, plenty for most buyers. Combine that with the better styling and lower price of the Civic, and I bet a lot of potential Accord buyers are opting for the Civic instead. Especially now that the Civic hybrid is available. I'm a 2018 Accord owner, but if I were to buy another Honda now, it would certainly be a Civic. The Accord really doesn't have much going for it now, and the differences are more cons than pros unless you really need the massive rear seat space the Accord offers.
I bought a 2018 Civic Hatchback, LX, 6 speed, 1.5 turbo brand new in Nov of 2017, just turned over 100k miles last week - it's a great car! I stealth camp in my hatchback when I go to Florida on vacation - there's that much room in my Civic Hatchback. I slide the passenger front seat forward and put in a wooden tray behind that seat then I can completely sleep in the back. It's fun to drive and I get 40 mpg at 70 mph on the highway, with tons of room. I'll probably keep it for a long time. Some guy on You Tube made of vid of his Civic with the 1.5 turbo showing he has 700k miles on his engine, no major problems! And guess what? I bought my Civic for $19, 200 from the dealer, out the door! I like it better than my old Z cars from the 1970's, in many ways, so look for a 10th gen Civic - great cars.
@@travelguy1564 The only reason I bought an Accord instead of a Civic is because when I was on the market for a car, they didn't sell a manual Civic hatchback with the options I wanted. Then like a year later with the midcycle refresh, they added the manual option for the Sport Touring. Awful timing. I've enjoyed the Accord, but I think I'd have liked the Civic more. I really miss having a hatchback (I'm honestly not sure why sedans even exist. Even if you prefer the sedan aesthetic, a liftback can fulfill the look while greatly improving space and practicality). I should be rolling over 100k in my 2018 Accord Sport 6MT in a month or two, so I'm right behind you!
Kia K5, Sonatas, Elantras and Civics are selling, so there’s clearly a market for sedans. It’s just the manufacturers rather you drive an uninspiring crossover.
If only people had spoken up before - OH WAIT THEY DID! It's like Disney with their f'n woke movies and then being suprised 5 years in a row no one wants them. What kills me is the person at Honda who said let's make a butt fugly car is probably making about 10x what I do.
@@baronvonjo1929 I'm still a sedan guy. There are many of us out here. I don't like the way SUVs and crossovers drive. I think you get a much better driving experience with the lower center of gravity in sedans.
The Integra isn't different enough from a Civic. Just more expensive. For me, the TLX is outdated with the trackpad. The Accord used to be great with the exterior and 2.0T. Not so much anymore. I went with a 25 Camry.
I have heard many describe this as a "Japanese Buick", which I think is spot-on. For the age 30-50 demographic (likely buyers), remembering your grandpa's Buick is not a positive association. I'm a Honda guy, too. Had a 2018 Accord Sport 2.0T for a while. My favorite car ever.

As a recent Honda buyer I’m happy to share the rationale behind my decision to purchase 2 Civic’s Vs a Civic for my wife and an Accord for me. The 2024 Civic is a better value and way better looking than the Accord. I think the Accord is now Honda’s ugly ducking of their whole lineup. Lastly, the Civic hatchback with the rear seats down provides a large amount of useful space.
I don't think the new Accord is ugly like many do, I just think it's bland looking which makes it a tough sell. Aand with the 2.0T gone it lost its sleeper buying crowd aswell.
I feel like the Accord always went this way in the past. One generation a bit sporty then the next gen more plain looking. This time they went too bland with it and it's showing in the sales. If they make it to next gen, it has no choice but to look better by comparison. So we'll see how they survive this gen.
Well, the Chevy Lumina in the Middle East and other markets had a crazy exhaust note, rear-wheel drive and a 6.0 liter V8 with over 400 horsepower, sooo….
@matthewpere1975 OF course 252 HP over 200. The Accord never had HP competition, the Si has to stay a lot lower than the Type R The Si should have at least 225-250, but then who would spend 10-15 more for a Type R. The Si is getting short changed and now even more with the Civic hybrid.
The design of the accord is very ugly and they stopped the 2.0 turbo engine and the price is too high that for just a little more you can get a Lexus or Acura.
I agree with the price being too high just to get rear AC vents you have to go all the way up to the touring model. Thats unacceptable when the Camry gives you that across the board
I used to notice the Accord because it was so distinctive, so I purchased the last body style. I now noticed the Accord because it's usually the most boring car that's passing me by
Last month I was looking to replace my 2016 Accord, so I looked at the EX and EX-L Hybrid. The EX's has cloth interior, an awful stereo and anemic 1.5 T CVT. The hybrid trims are almost $40K and they don't even give you a spare tire and a jack. They give you roadside assistance and a tire inflator with a can of slime. No thanks. I bought a Ridgeline instead and I don't regret it one bit!
@@jpizel1070 I like the new look, but it's the great CVT engine that really appeals to me. This is coming from a current Honda owner, but the Camry seems like a more obvious choice for a midsize at this point.
This comment will be unpopular but to me the Camry is highly overrated. Yes better looking than the new accord, it still looks more like the previous generation than a full redesign. And all the hype on its handling, it really doesn't handle better. But I get it, no one wants competition.
The Camry changed the front look but pretty much kept the back. In my opinion, the front and back don't mesh because the front is more modern and the back is conservative looking.
Compared to the Camry, the Accord used to attract a slightly younger and performance-oriented demographic. For this generation, however, the Accord just looks too bland (old?) and without the 2.0t engine, the performance is just ok. As it is, the Accord lacks any special features to stand apart from the Camry.
Does it really come as a surprise? What was Honda thinking with the lackluster Accord? Restyle the frumpy Accord with some of the Civic design elements. The Accord Sedan was given a curse by their design team. Fire them. Want to sell sedans? Give them sporty eye appeal.
It's all just design imo. For most people, both these cars get the job done. But the current Civic (especially the sedan version) looks significantly better than the previous Civic. The current Accord looks considerably worse than the previous Accord.
The Corolla gives a better ride and seats are more comfortable and will last longer than the Civic. The Civic engine and tranny is sooo smooth and quiet. Civic 1.5 has head gasket issues.
Funny thing is i went to one of my local Honda dealers i saw a white civic si and a burgundy Accord touring hybrid and i found myself gravitating to the civic si it just looks much better.🤷🏽
Thank you Kirk for doing this. You're the only guy in the industry that does this analysis which separates yourself from the rest of your YT peers. This is very valuable information.
The Honda Civic accomplishes 90% of what traditional Accord buyers want. Now that there are no compelling powertrains to justify getting an Accord over a Civic, and the Accord's styling has received less approval... Honda needs to get it in gear or the Accord is finished.
@@jpizel1070 they should have made it a wagon (just add a hatchback). I want the length and cargo of an SUV without the height so I can add a cargo box and enter garages. that's way more utility than any SUV/crossover. I can keep my gear in the cargo box without sacrificing backseats. SUV's are very limiting once garages are in the equation, parking outside 24/7 is not practical.
It's bad enough that Honda put a weak engine in the new Accord, but the new Accord looks boring af. I've purchased many Accords, that's my go to car when I need car. Currently I'm need a new car, but the new Accord is ugly compared to prior 2 generations.
Reason why I chose the Camry over the Accord a few years ago. Camry had a n/a engine paired with an 8-speed auto. Accord had an engine with a turbo paired with a cvt. So i chose the one that would be more reliable long term. Plus the Accord styling had that already old look.
I bought the 21' Accord sport 2.0T over the Camry. To me the 10th gen Accord looked better, I loved the feel of the 10 SPD auto and the 2.0T has a nice aftermarket
@@jcallen21 I had a new 2019 Accord EXL 2.0 auto Pearl white . I kept it 8 months. I didn't like it. I never liked how it looked.. The Honda body had to many body gaps.. Honda takes a lot of cheap shortcuts.. Those turbo Honda Accords will never last like play previous generations.. until about this Camry I always bought Accords .
I don't mind the exterior styling, as I tend to like conservative and understated, but two of the reasons I bought a Mazda 3 were a conventional automatic transmission and available AWD. Honda could've added AWD and made the Accord a world beater, but instead they killed the 2 liter turbo and 10 speed auto, two of the most compelling things about the Accord!
No sedan automatic needs more than six speeds. The other gears are all overdrive to boost mpg a fraction. I already had to service my wife's RDX tranny at less than 50k miles. My Camry's 8 spd tranny is constantly hunting gears. Never had these issues with Mazda and Hyundai six speeds.
The Accord is being stomped by the Camry. The new Camry is so much nicer looking. Also, the pricing of the Accord is too high. The Civic grew in size, and because they are so close in size, but is cheaper, smart consumers will just buy the Civic. Sure wish we could have an Accord wagon again.
I have a 2015 9th Generation Accord EX and I was in the dealership for service and test drove an Accord Hybrid; car has an AMAZING ride, however it just doesn’t look nearly as good as my 2015 even 9yrs later and the fact that there were no rear seat vents kinda bothered me as I have them now. I also still average 35-38 MPG on the highway so it was an easy no for me.
I hear you I have a 13 Honda Accord Sport manual with 485,000 km. I have it in the dark blue and still looks really good. The new one is too big and boring.
Honda isn’t helping the Accord by cutting the trims with any sportiness. The Civic is also now larger than the Accord from 15 years ago. It's a very niche buyer who wants a sedan as large as the new Accord. The TLX sells almost entirely on aesthetics, so it reaches a point where everyone who wants one already has one. It's a full-size on the outside and a compact on the inside. I like every vehicle Honda makes, but it's hard to recommend their sedans other than the ITS or a low trim Civic. Maybe the Prelude will breathe some life back in next year.
As a previous accord owner it was no question that the new one is ugly. No turbo option just hybrids. I see alot of people driving the base model that's not hybrid.
the first thing I thought when I saw this accord redesign was: "wow, what an uninspired inferior tasteless design". Here in canada, a 2024 accord hybrid cost $47,000. So no body bought one, I can't recall ever seeing one on the road and it's mid June now.
I still drive my 14 accord v6 coupe. Recently walked in a dealer and got an offer to replace it with a brand new Accord. I dont know, it doesnt feel as solid. I mean, my car feels old but it has something about it that makes it special. This new Accord feels soulless.
I say 40% of the consumers doesn't likes the styling of the new Accord.. they should've just updated the previous model. Average age who bought the previous model was late 20s and early 30s
@EchoAccord that 10th gen sentiment changed very fast though. Many rank it very highly now. Response to the 2023+ has ranged from resignation to strong disgust and will no doubt continue. If I were buying today I'd buy either a Civic, Camry, Elantra, or K5 for styling. The appearance of the 11th gen saps joy and makes me feel like I've paid top dollar for the worst product.
2.0T Turbo Accord was a legit sports sedan that probably poached Acura sales. However, charging more for the new Accord upper level trims with the same boring 200 hp is not going to cut it.
IMO, here are the 3 reasons the Accord is not selling. 1. It is ugly 2. The L15 motor has pre mature head gasket issues. The manufacturer did not solve the problem. 3. It is no longer a good value compared to other models and manufacturers
I think a lot of people are buying the Civic instead of the Accord now. My mom did. The Civic is so much cheaper than the Accord and the Civic is so big now that you can just buy the Civic touring for cheaper than a base Accord hybrid without taking a significant hit in fuel economy.
The new look is just plain ugly. I've bought Accords in the past, but this new one.....The tail lights look like something from Lincoln. Looks like Lincoln SUV models. The front end is so-so. I guess Honda just wanted a very conservative look on this model. Previous model was great looking. The newest Honda Civic's look good! I'd definitely buy one. Great review as always.
Thank you for this insight on the models with dropped sales. I follow Honda sales closely as someone who used to work at the Honda Marysville plant. I believe the 66% drop in Ridgeline sales is due to a stop sale on Ridgelines due to the defective wiring harness that affects the rear camera. Honda is slow to get replacement parts and i have a 2023 Ridgeline awaiting the recalled harness.
I think it's the same for everyone, they LOVE the interior but HATE the exterior. I went to honda dealer with my mother to buy a car for me and the second she looked at the accord, she said it was ugly as hell lol
Not sure what the Honda Accord design team were all smoking but this thing looks hideous from the front end. It reminds me of a Ford Taurus from the mid 90’s. The 10th generation Honda 1.5T’s have had issues with head gasket failures. The 2.0T’s in the previous generation are fine so far. I have a ninth generation Accord sport with the 6 speed tranny. I’m tickled to death every time I drive it. It looks great and drives really well. The 10th generation has finally grown on me after seeing this hideous piece of ***** masquarading as the 11 generation Accord.
The accord is an amazing car especially the hybrid touring. My issue with it was the audio was lacking for upgraded audio. The audio in the civic type r is what it should’ve been. Other than that it was an amazing car. It rode really well it was incredible on gas and was spacious.
TLX has poor rear seating, Acura almost daring the consumer to buy an SUV if they need the room!! Amazed such a large company like Honda/Acura is so off at times on their marketing!!
For such a large sedan you'd think the TLX would have much more leg room lol. You feel crammed in it even moreso than the new corollas since the rear leg room area has a large middle bump.
I almost decided to wait for a newly-refreshed ‘23 Accord back in June 2022 but, all things considered, I’m so very glad I went with a ‘22 Accord Touring 2.0T instead
As a former 9.5 gen 6-6 Accord coupe owner. The current gen isn't selling because it's exterior is......... An acquired taste and for the better part of 20 years now, the top trim level Accords while not performance cars, always punched above their weight in that realm. No, they wernt Sportscar fast, but they had above avg performance. This gen... Very little performance to be had. Sure it has an impressive hybrid system, but it misses the mark in terms of what the Accords recent history had become. Roll that into higher interest rates, and MSRPs and well... Not a shock that it's not selling.

Geez listening to this video is really difficult there is only one answer to why is not selling it's ugly that's all you have to say literally that's it there's no other reason why it's not selling
Honda is doing it to themselves, yes the previous generation had to grow on us but it didn’t take long. But this generation doesn’t have the looks to be appealing to consumers and lacks excitement.
The Accord is a very nice vehicle - looks like an Audi 7 from some angles, a bit like the Kia K5 at other angles, but there is a bit of awkwardness, especially in the front grille area - that hammerhead shark thing ain't working. The hybrid engine is sweet, but they need a higher-performance option to keep up with the competition. The new Toyota Camry is pretty much a home run, so Honda has some work to do.
I had bought a new car last year. I had narrowed down my choices to a 2022 Altima and a 2022 Accord. I chose the Altima because it was cheaper and had awd.. I wish I would’ve gotten the Accord.
The civic has 37 inches of rear leg room, the corolla 34.9 inches. The civic hatchback also has something like 27inches of cubic space which is enormous compared to the corolla. Its a no brainer for most people. And with the new 25 civic hybrid coming out this month, its game over for the corolla.
You can get a fully loaded Civic for 33k USD. A fully loaded Accord is 41k. You don'5 get much more for the Accord besides the hybrid engine if your comparing with the hatchback civic. People want a low monthly payment because groceries, rent, taxes,

Accord….ugly ugly ugly! Accord looks for the older people like how Camry use to be.
The Accord is indeed Bland and Boring looking 🥱
But its not that ugly
News flash!! Older people don't like UGLY, BORING cars either!
Yes, Accord is for old people who have cataracts
the Civic is now the size of what the Accord used to be.
@@carlovanrijk4039praying you get a new one 🙏🙏🙏
My God the same thing happened to me I had a 99 Camry solara V6 manual transmission vehicle. It ran flawlessly until someone t-boned it at 297000 miles.

Funny enough, I actually had a 95 accord with 148k, ended up totalling it. I've driven both the civic, and accord.. They feel the exact same, so I went with the new Civic. A great upgrade in terms of everything, except the acceleration isn't too different 😂
The accord is just ugly. Civic is the new king
😂😂😂😂
Was exactly going to comment this. Civic looks way better and it isn't even close.
I had a civic sport touring for 10 months, I really enjoyed the car. I only got rid of it because I really wanted the integra Type S and got one for MSRP and came into a little money, otherwise I’d still be content with it, it actually had some bells and whistles absent on my Type S.
I agree 😆
“Ugly” is a little strong, its just bland/boring (mostly the front end). and they got rid of the 2.0T, not that that was a big seller but…
My God, get to the point. 21 minutes of air space for 4 minutes worth of information. How do you expect people to spend their time? These are honest thoughts and not trying to be ugly.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
1- they made the Accord ugly.2- Total disrespect to the gas engine no longer being a EXL. 3- The cloth upholstry in LX/EX is also cheap and ugly. Which leads to 4- Do a total refresh in 2025. I will keep my nicer 2014 EXL Accord.
Hit all points with this comment.
The Accord looks great. Best looking sedan in years.

The Civic has grown enough in size to make the Accord make less sense for people it appears as well
They went backwards instead of forward with that design smh
I feel like the sales really plummeted when they decided to give it a weaker powertrain than the previous person and make the styling so very anonymous.
Hopefully they can give it a more powerful engine option and more substantive updates during the refresh.
Almost a great bank robbing car.

Both in appearance and driving dynamics!
@@ItsAlive111 not even my grampa bro.. Grandma. I'd rather get the civic hybrid than that Accord personally buy I'd get the Camry before either of them

Naw! The Accords of the early 90’s were way better looking!
Gramma!
I've enjoyed the Accord, but I think I'd have liked the Civic more. I really miss having a hatchback (I'm honestly not sure why sedans even exist.
The last gen Accords had to grow on me
Affordability and looks! I think Honda took a step back in the looks of their vehicles!!
I feel like the Accord always went this way in the past. One generation a bit sporty then the next gen more plain looking. This time they went too bland with it and it's showing in the sales. If they make it to next gen, it has no choice but to look better by comparison. So we'll see how they survive this gen.

The Si should have at least 225-250, but then who would spend 10-15 more for a Type R.
The Si is getting short changed and now even more with the Civic hybrid.

mid-size sedan buyers are moving to the Camry and the 2025 Camry will crush it.
YES! The 2025 camry xse red leather interior looks amazing especially with the panoramic moonroof.
Camry is ugly as well. All they changed on the exterior was the front. Now it looks like a Mishmash.
It’s ugly! Whoever allowed that design should be fired
I really like the last edition of the Accord, the current model looks like a Jetta.
Correct!😊
Civic over Corolla.
Camry over Accord, personally.
The Corolla gives a better ride and seats are more comfortable and will last longer than the Civic.
The Civic engine and tranny is sooo smooth and quiet. Civic 1.5 has head gasket issues.
Accord sales will worsen when the new Camry comes out. They're going to have to refresh the styling dramatically to stop the tide.
Funny thing is i went to one of my local Honda dealers i saw a white civic si and a burgundy Accord touring hybrid and i found myself gravitating to the civic si it just looks much better.🤷🏽
Last gen accord had a TypeR engine and looked way better. Honda needs to redesign the accord now!
90’s Buicks look the same and are a lot cheaper.
Yuck
They’re both sedans that aren’t too far off each other size wise, and the Civic cost less. It’s a no brainer why it’s chosen more
The Civic is not far off the previous Accord. But the new Accord is much larger.
The new Accord is the size of a Yacht. Not sure what you are talking about. But yes, the Civic is now big enough to skip the Accord.
@@jpizel1070 all you did was agree with me. Why buy an Accord when the Civic exists and is already pretty large and costs less
@@jpizel1070 they should have made it a wagon (just add a hatchback). I think the 11th gen accord design was intentional because Honda wants to kill off the accord eventually
They can just do that though. They don't need to build a shitty car that won't sell.

Ford Taurus is back everyone... just has a Honda badge on it.
Beetle is back too as a Porsche 911
The accord doesn't have as much hp lol
The Taurus had an SHO option at least. Can’t say that the Accord has a Type R.
😂
It was a better looking car
The new Camry is going to put the nail in the ⚰️ 😢.
I say 40% of the consumers doesn't likes the styling of the new Accord.. they should've just updated the previous model. Average age who bought the previous model was late 20s and early 30s
I agree. Last two gens looked far better.
Literally me (30) , bought a 2.0T Accord because I wanted something responsible but with some spirit.
To be fair people didn't like the last gen either and it grew on everyone.
We don’t have the Accord nor the Camry in Europe. Just Civic and Corollas. But people mostly buy SUV versions of those cars… 🤦🏼
IMO, here are the 3 reasons the Accord is not selling.
1. It is ugly
2. The L15 motor has pre mature head gasket issues. The manufacturer did not solve the problem.
3. It is no longer a good value compared to other models and manufacturers
True
They need to recall millions of them to get a new block
I think a lot of people are buying the Civic instead of the Accord now. My mom did. The Civic is so much cheaper than the Accord and the Civic is so big now that you can just buy the Civic touring for cheaper than a base Accord hybrid without taking a significant hit in fuel economy.
its because the 2025 camry is a way better package. hybrid is standard, panoramic sunroof optional with rear vents standard too
The new look is just plain ugly.
Yes, the old Accord had a very Audi look to me that made it look more expensive than it was. The new one is a snooze.
The Accord front end suffers from major RBF :I
Thank you for this insight on the models with dropped sales.
I regret not getting a new 2023 Accord Touring. The new one is nice but the previous one with the 2 liter turbo was cool.
I think it's the same for everyone, they LOVE the interior but HATE the exterior. I went to honda dealer with my mother to buy a car for me and the second she looked at the accord, she said it was ugly as hell lol
I love the Honda Civic. It looks so good. I don’t know why anyone would want the more expensive Accord.
Power heated seats with leather rear ac and usb ports that's why
Hmmmm minus the rear air vents, we have all those options in Canada. Add a heated steering wheel
The seating position is too low for me.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought how ugly the new accord is. The last generation looked much nicer.
Honda: WAKE UP
I almost decided to wait for a newly-refreshed ‘23 Accord back in June 2022 but, all things considered, I’m so very glad I went with a ‘22 Accord Touring 2.0T instead
Looks like an old cop car
My 2014 looks better
i know why accord sales is low. the reasons are following: no awd option. no pano-roof option. no 360-cam option. no plug-in with extra large battery option. no hatchback option. this huge critical deal-breakers. Thay's why .
Geez listening to this video is really difficult there is only one answer to why is not selling it's ugly that's all you have to say literally that's it there's no other reason why it's not selling
The Gen11 Accord is repeating what happened to the 2012 Civic. It’s bland looking.
How are the sonata and Camry doing relative to last year? That information would give additional insight.
I had bought a new car last year. I had narrowed down my choices to a 2022 Altima and a 2022 Accord. I chose the Altima because it was cheaper and had awd.. I wish I would’ve gotten the Accord.
The Civic is doing so good this year that it’s actually outselling the Corolla.
rightfully so
The civic has 37 inches of rear leg room, the corolla 34.9 inches. The civic hatchback also has something like 27inches of cubic space which is enormous compared to the corolla. Its a no brainer for most people. And with the new 25 civic hybrid coming out this month, its game over for the corolla.
One day, when you get older, you will hand down your Civic to your kid and enjoy the comfy of the Accord.
Honda need to Postpone their ev goals.
Still research invest but don't forget what's making you money.
Hybrids are their immediate focus .
You can get a fully loaded Civic for 33k USD. A fully loaded Accord is 41k. You don'5 get much more for the Accord besides the hybrid engine if your comparing with the hatchback civic. People want a low monthly payment because groceries, rent, taxes,
