I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Men and women think very differently from each other. It seems like it's impossible for men and women to emotionally connect with each other.
I heard that gay and lesbian couples are happier than straight couples are, and I heard that gay and lesbian relationships are healthier than straight relationships are. The more similar you are to someone, the more easier it is to bond and connect with them.
People of the same sex/gender understand each other more easily, and there are no inbuilt societal power imbalances as there are between opposite-sex couples. Gay and lesbian couples understand each other better than straight couples do (due to them being the same gender as each other).
I heard that most straight couples are not happy being together, and I heard that people who are straight are much happier and much better off being single than they are being in a romantic relationship.
I think the hardest is when you suspect they have feelings, but they’re not upfront enough for you to shut them down. Instead they offer acts of service. They’re like, “can I give you a ride?” it’s hard to reply, “I have a boyfriend”

hi, aro friend here, i had a crush on my best friend and figured out that i was demi. your mileage may vary.
When we were both adults, I told my best friend I used to have a crush on him when we were teens. I could tell he was flattered by the notion.
We still have a strange close connection, ever since we were teens. And yes, strangers to this day often think we are bf/gf.
But he’s gay and I think I always knew (he only officially came out when he was in his twenties)
Some times it’s not a romantic connection, or not vice versa anyway, but it can still be deep and meaningful.
All the signs mentioned in the vid here refer to us both, except he has been in two longterm relationships and I have also been with someone off and on.
But we love eachother, he knows if he ever needs a kidney that he can have mine. I told him one drunk Christmas (and later confirmed when I was sober that the deal still stands)
It’s kinda like soulmates, without the romantic element in it.
I am ok that we are not together as a couple, because I think he deserves better than what I have to offer anyways, and I believe he has that now. I just want to see him happy. Being a part of his life as a friend is good enough for me.

It would be helpful to remind people that best friends often do help each other when the other one is feeling down. Things like this have been used against me when I was falsely accused of having these feelings for someone who I never had those feelings for. I've already stopped making good friends with members of the opposite sex so I can avoid my intentions being mistaken. If we can't help each other when we're feeling down without it being mistaken for flirting, that's not exactly the definition of a good friendship, much less best friends. I now have to limit myself to almost never speaking, never hanging out, never asking how their day is going (which I used to do with my friendships with both men and women), never texting, never calling, and never excited to see them in public. Basically, a weak friendship that is borderline to acquaintanceship. If I have a crush on someone, I'm direct about it. That hasn't spared me from being mistaken, though. So, it'll help to remind people that some of these are not always a sign.

No… Don't beat yourself up, my person! I'm sure there is someone out there who has a crush on you, and if not, then I'm sure someone will soon. One thing that's for sure is that God will always love you, no matter what. And if you hate yourself, than maybe you should see a psychiatrist or at least try to improve yourself and focus on your good qualities instead of your bad qualities? Don't beat yourself up! Just remember, that no matter your current condition, that God will always love you, and there are likely others who love you, too, so don't beat yourself up, for their sake.

My best friend and I liked each other for awhile and both were kinda oblivious to the fact that the other felt the same way.. But hey! We started dating little over six months ago and still really like eachother. 😊 Watched this cause I was curious and this entire video was a relatively accurate description of our friendship XD If I had seen this a year ago I definitely would’ve gotten the hint sooner haha
