Ehh, I think even if they don’t like you back it can still seem kind of insensitive...like, that feelings of more than a camaraderie is something just to laugh at and not really worth taking seriously. If I heard one of my friends joking about that sort of thing, I’d kind of lose some respect for them TBH. It has to be more like mutual joking or fooling around with some random person, then it’s okay. If someone truly likes somebody more than a friend in a respectful manner, the other person happens to like them back and they pass it off as a joke that does seem pretty asshole-ish in my opinion. It’s only worse if someone does like someone else.

I've personally only ever had one good experience when telling my friend I liked them. Usually, it gets awkward for whatever reason, we end up not talking and parting ways. But it was a year and a half ago that I told someone that I liked him, come to my surprise he was really sweet about it and said he had a girlfriend. We're still friends and he's come to be someone who is really important to me. I will always appreciate how mature he was about it and that he still treats me like an equal. our friendship is as much of a two-way street as it was before. as someone who hasn't had many great experiences with guys. it meant a lot. I feel like maybe we've had small moments here and there after that, where I thought maybe he liked me back. our conversations are great and I feel like I can honestly just be me. there was one time we had been talking the day before & I woke up to a snap from him the next morning at like 7am so excited about an interview he had that morning. it was the best feeling in the world. that was a couple of months ago now. life happened a little more since then. I love having him in my life. it's hard to gauge anything when it's 90% over text. I got lucky the first time. I don't want to test my luck again lol If he did feel something, I feel he would have said something by now anyway. at least I hope he would. But at the end of the day, everything will happen the way it's meant to, right. sorry for another long ass comment. :)

I wanna put the stigma to rest about having feelings for your best friend. First, don't make it such a big deal. They're your best friend, keep them that way, but you should also express that you can see the possibility of you two being together. If it doesn't work out, no big deal, just move on and still be friends. The reason why it gets so awkward for people is that if it doesn't work out, you went through that phase where you were all "lovey-dovey" and it's hard to see someone as a friend like that. The best relationships are amongst two best friends. If you two are just able to keep things non-chalant, cool, and fun just like you do as friends, you'll be able to have the best relationship possible if you put the friendship first rather than being lovers. Best friends get over fights, and you'll get through anything if you both have that mindset.

Try subtly flirting with him like maybe touching him more or teasing him or calling him cute mock names see how he reacts to that. Flirt with him and laugh it out afterwards in case it gets awkward or if he shy's away. Try hinting that you want something more than friends. If he doesn't push you away, it's likely he's not opposed to the idea. Ask him who he likes? If it's you he'll probably get all nervous and shish lol All that will help him be more open with you since you're making the first moves. & if he responds the same way, then more than likely he definitely likes you. By what you just wrote it's obvious he has a crush on you so I would definitely ask him out on a date or just flat out tell him you have feelings for him.

My BFF in high school was always in love with me. I was also in love with her. I didn't find out until 20 years later. My greatest regret was not telling her before we drifted apart. Me and this guy had moments and texted all the time but it never led to anything and then we kind of stopped talking and “having moments” but I’d see him all the time because we have the same friends. Now we see each other almost daily and we text semi regularly and we go places together and I catch him staring all the time and he’ll make comments that leads me to think he wants me, But he’ll give side hugs and never leaves time for there to be “moments” I’m not so sure what’s going on it’s like mixed signals to me. lmao I am having this issue with one of my housemates, I have no feeling beyond friendship towards him but our other housemates keep suggesting that he likes me because of how he acts. I think that most of these signs can actually be there even though your good friend doesn't want to be more than a friend except for the "moments" advice . All of these signs were there but we never had the "moments" and I thought we were just friends but he misread the situation. Another good sign is for example their reaction to your stories about your crush/dates, if they are excited about it and wish to talk about it all night then you're probably just friends. And another sign is that you just feel it when there is nothing but friendship between you two. If you slightly step away from your emotions and watch them closely, you may see things as they are, not as you want them to be.
Told her, she didn’t reciprocate my feelings but we are still good friends. It just made things awkward for some time after that everything went back to normal. Ah, yes explaining my romantic predicaments..... To start, I decided upon saying that I am omnisexual, due to the endless possibilites of who I may come to like. I have noticed patterns such as my mind being more attracted to those who recognise artistic ability and are comforting and can listen, while also being more on the positive outlook of life. I have liked both male, female, and also trans.... as it varies. I don't tend to think of going through crushes, but because I am a huge wolf fan, I tend to think of if they would be a compatible mate (and I know it sounds weird). So I tend to analyze the common factors between us and go off of the patterns that I had previously analyzed of how my mind tends to think during these examinations. So I seem to be bit stuck with romance in my life, not just because of quarantine, but also because I live in a rural area, and I don't necessarily have a diffinitive friend group, but more or so have a friend in each friend group while the majority of other friends I have aren't even in junior high yet.... So that is my love life problem how about yours.🙃

So that's definitely how things have been with this guy that I worked around/a guy I work with now. One guy introduced me as just my name to his coworkers and the other guy introduced me as just my name to his ex-wife as well as inviting me to "hang out" pretty much every week, but he would pay for everything, even after I would insist on paying for my own food. One guy I realized it after he kept telling me he wanted to hang out and attempted to pay for my food as well as my son's food, and then the other guy I realized it after I had had a rough few days and told him I needed a hug and he drove like 15 mins in the middle of the night just to give me a hug.
The guy that I work with now, he's the one who came over in the middle of the night just to hug me and we talked for hours under the stars and he even got a blanket out of his truck for me when he noticed that I was cold(even though we were sitting right outside of my house and we could have gone inside), and every single time we hug he never wants to let go of me. That night his hug was so comforting that I melted into his arms. That's not "just friends"
wow this video came on a really good time.. so i totally have the 'moments' but i feel like he doesn't text to me all the time, or isn't always in the mood to text. we also went for a 'pizzadate' or movienights as well, so that makes me think it is from both ways. then again, he "forgot" (i'm not really sure) i was underaged so like.. i really don't know 😣

My friend and I have been friends for at least 7 years now. He was originally just my older brother's best friend, but that changed when I entered High School and I got to see him more often. It's so weird because a couple years ago when we were still in High School, I swallowed my fear and asked him on a date after a movie night. Now, flash forward and we're both in college. Whenever he's back for break he's almost always at my house; we watch movies together-- even cuddle. I've personally only ever had one good experience when telling my friend I liked them. Usually, it gets awkward for whatever reason, we end up not talking and parting ways. But it was a year and a half ago that I told someone that I liked him, come to my surprise he was really sweet about it and said he had a girlfriend. We're still friends and he's come to be someone who is really important to me. I will always appreciate how mature he was about it and that he still treats me like an equal. our friendship is as much of a two-way street as it was before. as someone who hasn't had many great experiences with guys. it meant a lot. I feel like maybe we've had small moments here and there after that, where I thought maybe he liked me back. our conversations are great and I feel like I can honestly just be me. there was one time we had been talking the day before & I woke up to a snap from him the next morning at like 7am so excited about an interview he had that morning. it was the best feeling in the world. that was a couple of months ago now. life happened a little more since then. I love having him in my life. it's hard to gauge anything when it's 90% over text. I got lucky the first time. I don't want to test my luck again lol If he did feel something, I feel he would have said something by now anyway. at least I hope he would. But at the end of the day, everything will happen the way it's meant to, right. sorry for another long ass comment. :)

Okay so basically I think I'm starting to develop a crush on my friend...The only problem? He's so far away. We met on a language exchange app and I just slowly started falling for his bright personality, and his voice is so energetic I get happy just hearing it. literally the same happened to me. a guy i was dating was subtle at first, we were hanging out as friends, then by coincidence ended up at my place, agreed to sleep together. i gave no hint, thought maybe he'll say something. before we went to sleep, he asked "what about a good night kiss?", then we were making out for some time, and next time again. Allllright so I’ve got this friend and we haven’t known eachother a suuuper long time. Only like a few months but we’ve gotten pretty close lately. We’ve had some “moments” I guess you would say but he’s kinda a more shy dude so I guess it’s just confusing. So here are a few signs I guess that most people would take as “he likes you”. He’s gone out of his way to do something that he clearly didn’t want to do and I wanted to do. He played it off after as he wanted to do it but we both know he didn’t and he was late for meeting with a friend because of it. He does kinda stare a lot but maybe he’s not actually looking at me? (My friends see this too) he acts pretty differently around me than other people. He’s a lot more quiet and reserved. There’s no touchy ness really just a hug hello or goodbye but I mean we only really see eachother at church. We went out for ice cream the other day and he insisted on buying me ice cream. And we texted a lot for a while and he was always trying to keep the convo going but he’d stop talking in weird places.. the thing that’s throwing me off is he stopped texting me and now he’s like super nervous around me again or something and it’s almost like he’s avoiding me.. Try subtly flirting with him like maybe touching him more or teasing him or calling him cute mock names see how he reacts to that. Flirt with him and laugh it out afterwards in case it gets awkward or if he shy's away. Try hinting that you want something more than friends. If he doesn't push you away, it's likely he's not opposed to the idea. Ask him who he likes? If it's you he'll probably get all nervous and shish lol All that will help him be more open with you since you're making the first moves. & if he responds the same way, then more than likely he definitely likes you. By what you just wrote it's obvious he has a crush on you so I would definitely ask him out on a date or just flat out tell him you have feelings for him.

Me and this guy had moments and texted all the time but it never led to anything and then we kind of stopped talking and “having moments” but I’d see him all the time because we have the same friends. Now we see each other almost daily and we text semi regularly and we go places together and I catch him staring all the time and he’ll make comments that leads me to think he wants me, But he’ll give side hugs and never leaves time for there to be “moments” I’m not so sure what’s going on it’s like mixed signals to me. I think of him as a very close trusted friend who doesn’t want anything right now but if he did I would totally be open to that.
lmao I am having this issue with one of my housemates, I have no feeling beyond friendship towards him but our other housemates keep suggesting that he likes me because of how he acts. I think that most of these signs can actually be there even though your good friend doesn't want to be more than a friend except for the "moments" advice . All of these signs were there but we never had the "moments" and I thought we were just friends but he misread the situation. Another good sign is for example their reaction to your stories about your crush/dates, if they are excited about it and wish to talk about it all night then you're probably just friends. And another sign is that you just feel it when there is nothing but friendship between you two. If you slightly step away from your emotions and watch them closely, you may see things as they are, not as you want them to be.
Told her, she didn’t reciprocate my feelings but we are still good friends. It just made things awkward for some time after that everything went back to normal. Depends on the person and the type of bond you have tho. Still it’s better to tell your feelings to always think “what if”, you also get closure. To start, I decided upon saying that I am omnisexual, due to the endless possibilites of who I may come to like.
I have noticed patterns such as my mind being more attracted to those who recognise artistic ability and are comforting and can listen, while also being more on the positive outlook of life. I have liked both male, female, and also trans.... as it varies. I don't tend to think of going through crushes, but because I am a huge wolf fan, I tend to think of if they would be a compatible mate (and I know it sounds weird).
So I tend to analyze the common factors between us and go off of the patterns that I had previously analyzed of how my mind tends to think during these examinations.
So I seem to be bit stuck with romance in my life, not just because of quarantine, but also because I live in a rural area, and I don't necessarily have a diffinitive friend group, but more or so have a friend in each friend group while the majority of other friends I have aren't even in junior high yet....
So that is my love life problem how about yours.🙃
My friend is in a long distance relationship and is moving away so I've been spending a lot more time with her then normal. We got put for dinner,movies during the holidays she comes over for dinner with my family and she seems happy . Even before I leave we have this long hug. My friend is a super charismatic person, he’s friends with everyone he knows. Last Friday I attended a bar and he went there as well and offered to travel together only because he knew Id go. So that's definitely how things have been with this guy that I worked around/a guy I work with now. One guy introduced me as just my name to his coworkers and the other guy introduced me as just my name to his ex-wife as well as inviting me to "hang out" pretty much every week, but he would pay for everything, even after I would insist on paying for my own food. One guy I realized it after he kept telling me he wanted to hang out and attempted to pay for my food as well as my son's food, and then the other guy I realized it after I had had a rough few days and told him I needed a hug and he drove like 15 mins in the middle of the night just to give me a hug.
The guy that I work with now, he's the one who came over in the middle of the night just to hug me and we talked for hours under the stars and he even got a blanket out of his truck for me when he noticed that I was cold(even though we were sitting right outside of my house and we could have gone inside), and every single time we hug he never wants to let go of me. That night his hug was so comforting that I melted into his arms. That's not "just friends"

1- we're texting non stop, and we're texting in the morning and see who fell asleep first
