@shadowzone2013 yea and changing out $20 sticks is still better than buying multiple $70+ controllers over the course of a year or 2 just because of bad sticks. I got my sense edge controller at release and haven't even changed a stick out yet.

The function to just switch out the whole analog module is awesome. I have the controller and it is worth $200. Cheaper than competitors and the build quality feels really solid.

If you play any first person shooters and you play enough it’s more than worth the $200 I dropped $270 on a pos scuff that is no where near the quality as the duel sense edge. I’ll never buy a scuff again. Highly recommend if you want to take your game to the next level.

Lol or they could've given us the ancient tech still called hall effect after it's no contact magnet sensors. So now there's no potentiometer spring that wears out
it is pricey but I figure it's going to save me money and frustration in the long run. I'm getting this purely for the replaceable joysticks.
Also the case has a flip flap so you can store your controller inside the case and charge it while it stays safe inside the case. ^_^ I love my controller!

Not really most dual sense pro controllers r far more expensive and the average pro controller is still more expensive plus the dual sense edge is far better than any other dual sense pro controller and this is the only one that actually justifies the pricing
they should make hall effect replacement sticks.
I'm loving the Audio being able to turn up higher. Main thing I loved about My Scuf Vantage. Paired with a mix amp dead silence couldn't even stop the footsteps.
The paddles look so good for gran turismo gear shifting
The only thing that makes this controller half decent is you get a hard shell case w a card at 200$ plus all the essentials so in theory compared to scuff it ain’t a bad price

@@OGbubbashiesty well from what I hear the scuff csn get stick drift pretty easily, so if you notice there is some and it's withing the warranty (or any slight defects for that matter) I'd say return it and go for the Edge
@@devynkoch1417 good looks I’ll put it through some good sessions and after a week I’ll make an edit and see how it holds up I usually play atleast 2-4 hours everyday so I’ll be able to give it a decent test
imo it’s worth it could be like $20 cheaper but i’m happy with it the build quality is great feels solid in the hand the UI is great has mappable back buttons replaceable stick modules

Just got one yesterday for my 15th I love it 🎉
Found out after throwing a whole fit in customer support, that steam allows you to map the buttons without having to buy 3rd party software.
If you click the game you want to play, look all the way to the right. There will be a cog wheel, a controller, and another icon or two.
Click the controller icon next to the cog wheel & from there you can map your 4 new buttons/paddles 😊.
Hall effect sticks would be so much better than replaceable ones

Hall affect sticks for shooting games are not as good,trust,I've played with hall effect sticks and I didn't like the delay,however it wasn't standard I had someone install them . But I prefer the normal to hall effect far more responsive at snapping back crosshair.

I like the PS5 controller the best although I've played PlayStation my entire life and I like PlayStation more than any console. I just bought a PS5 in January of 2023 and I love it. I just love the controller because there's so much feedback there's a lot of rumbling and when you press down you can fill pressing down it's really the best controller

yeah dualsense quickly became my favorite controller by a long shot. the slightly larger design feels so solid in the hands, and it’s kept it’s premium feel. battery life on the standard ones is also really really impressive.
@@tiggs03 I like the Xbox controller also it's bigger and PlayStation 5 controller isn't that big. I own both a PS5 in an Xbox One X the Xbox One X is more powerful than the PS5 better Hardware

I bought it this morning, it’s worth it if you play seriously, if you’re a casual gamer then it’s really not needed but build quality is nice, feels great, magnetic paddles are awesome.
Shiftable joysticks makes it worth it for anyone with these issues.
Gulikit are even working on hall effect joysticks for the Edge. No more stick drift .
My only issue is the controller is $200. And based on the lifespan of the sticks for the average gamer, you're gonna need to buy at least one pair of sticks (I don't recommend just replacing one cause the if the other one gets it ur just gonna be constantly replacing one, kinda like brakes or tires on a car), and ur gonna end up spending about 250 dollars total. But Sony did a impressive move here, the only other pro option like this on the market is the victus pro. Has all the same features except swapple sticks and the special triggers, however it has longer expected lifespan, but it's only 180. This pressures users to buy the edge instead because you get those adaptive triggers and swapple sticks. So idk I'd say if u really want the edge. Buy the edge AND a pair of sticks ahead of time. That's way when it does get drift you already have a set.
I have this and the scuf controller. I like the edge more.

I prefer my scuff because it's a ps4 controller and i find them more comfortable, because i play claw and have small hands, but sadly you cant use it on the ps5.

There are so many more features to this freaking remote on the console, like adjusting stick drift, aim curve, button reassignments. It’s so crazy worth it in my opinion
I got this controller and I love the rubber on the back it’s very comfortable, also I love the trigger texture
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet: but you can actually position the longer back paddles in two orientations.
I found the default horizontal to be rather difficult in games like Rocket League where they are very easy to accidentally activate.
You can actually turn them laterally so they stick out from the bottom, allowing you to still fully grip the controller!
they only snap in one way, how are you snapping them in laterally?
@@NickPoly17 If you sorta wiggle them into the sockets while they are positioned vertically they’ll fit into place, make sure the actual part you press is at the bottom of the controller

What he didnt tell u is that when you do get stick drift, the replacement sticks will never be in stock from sony. And you will have to pay just about as much as a new dualsense costs to get them from scalpers.

They have sticks that don't get stick drift on controllers all the way back in the 90s this is just another marketing plan to sell you a expensive controller when instead they should've been using the sticks that don't drift at all. Don’t forget they come over clocked and I put lag for competitive performance is amazing
There is also a Velcro flap at the top of the case where you can charge the controller while it's in the case.

You don’t want a 1080p 60hz monitor if you’re spending all that money for a ps5. Those are ps4 specs. You might as well just keep playing that..

Or 2021 Acer Nitro 28” 2160p 4k 120hz both currently on sale for $600CAD ($300 off). Because you can down scale them to those specs & still take advantage of new / future gaming. Or if you really are looking for lower; LG 850-B (old) or new Sony Inzone M3 27” might be exactly what you’re looking for about that price without a sale. Good luck, dude,

Here's something you need to know, it's a great controller but the white rubber panels on the back will discolor bubble and peel. I had to get an extreme rate replacement cover.
And an impressive battery for wireless gaming

tried it for a day to see it it went well with pc, if u plan on doing the same, don’t, pain to work with and it’s definitely a ps controller for a reason, not really meant to be used on anything else. hoping comparability will become more appreciated eventually cause this controller would be so nice, especially being able to swap when u get stuck drift.
For pc id say just get a scuf or an xbox, the PlayStation one has so much more stuff thats only get on thw playstation
They need to turn the joysticks angle back so thumbs can sit on top instead of the back edge going forward all the time.
It's also massively overpriced, the battery is weaker to make it a bit lighter, the plastics they use are of a cheaper material to save on cost and instead of offering the new driftless sticks, they offer a way to keep replacing them so you have to keep buying them.

Guys, it's a great controller, but it is expensive. Even the replacement modules are expensive, 3 of'em and you get a new dual sense. All you have to do is compare it to other controllers at the same price, and see how it lacks "pro features", like 4 back bumpers, and more stick configs, but keeps at the same price, while reduces dual sense battery.

Nah it is actually perfect price be a use you are paying an extra 130 dollors for paddles and being able to reach your sticks when stick drift happens means instead of buying another one for 70 dollors you can just pay 20 for the new sticks

stick drift is inevitable on any controller, it isnt just a sony problem. id argue sony actually has the least amount of stick drift out of both xbox and nintendo, so a solution such as this is nice to see
@@ahmad916xI agree I’ve had every type of system. It’s gonna happen, seeing this made me want the controller though. I’d rather pay 20 bucks to replace the one left stick module that always ends up with drift every 2 years or so for 20. Then buy a completely new controller at 70 each time. You’ll eventually get your money worth if you take care of the controller itself.
In reality you can't avoid stick drift due to the way potentiometers are designed.... your controller is either going to get stick drift or it isnt.... at least this way you can get a guaranteed simple fix (because stick drift isn't always a simple fix)
I love these!!! I spend close to 400$ for my scuf controller and the tigger stop broke and I was getting stick drifts and they said my warranty was over and it might cost a lot to replace them… fk them, their trigger stop is so trash! This only have two back button so that a bummer but I love these so much.

@@daveyboy77 depends on what games you play bro. Honestly imo, I’d say it was definitely worth it. Taking it out the box, that’s an experience. With the edge, you get four quick custom profiles for your assigned button layouts. I have one profile named, “OW2.” Which is my overwatch settings I use. Just by pressing the two bottom switches and circle switches to that, I don’t have to go settings and change it myself. I can do it in game, and there’s even fast button to get you back to your game from the settings.
It was confusing to use at first, it disables your normal custom assignment page and gives you a whole new interface to mess around with. You can customize the controller to it’s fullest if you figure it out.
The controller build is crisp; control grips, 4 assignable buttons, and the ability to adjust the triggers response in the back is awesome.
If you got 2 bills I’d drop, not sure when this’ll ever go on sale.

I love my DSE 🎮. Makes gaming allot more fun and versatile. Very comfortable...and i like the fact its a bit heavier than the regular one.
Triggers should be adjustable for r1 and L1 as well
Who else getting one just for the dome cap thumb sticks I missed those from the ps-ps3 they were distinguishing in look and feel from anything else out at the time in my opinion but honestly surprised they went away with them when they dropped the ps4 just always seemed apart of the PlayStation design
After about 1 month of gaming with it I’ve noticed the taller thumb sticks that come with it have wore out significantly! But hey there’s 2 other replacements so I’m not complaining.. as of now lol

Getting used to it is a lil weird.. The stuff at the back are great for games like Seige. Before i couldnt really crouch cus that meant moving my finger away from the right stick which meant not aiming and in Seige that means certain death.

I bought this controller love it. My only problem. When you have to take a poop it doesn't have a built in Bluetooth connection with lcd display so you can keep playing while you answer natures call. Sometimes you have to drop a load mid mission.
i think the elite 2 controller for xbox is slightly better especially cause of wireless chargning in the box and an extra 2 mappable buttons, tho i am jealous of the replacable thumbstick modules for fixing drift, that i do like, a lot

Ps4 you can turn off the controller and still watch Netflix, ps5 you have to adjust a setting and burn 10 mins waiting for the controller to turn off while your watching a show
Absolutely love mine. Preordered it and it is quite literally a game changer! The aim response curve adjustment feature has been one of the biggest things I appreciate from it.
Able to explain the aim response curve adjustment you did? My controller arrives Friday and trying to get ready for it 😅
@@jlaw888 it varies per game and you’re able to make specific control profiles for each one. Once you get the controller you can mess with the settings and find what works for you.

For stick drift, buy yours a can of electrical contact cleaner from an electronics store and spray the insides of your controller sticks...problem solved.

So you’re only getting two extra buttons. Scuff gives you four on the back. If their was a way to program the bottom function buttons for game play I would be all in.

Stick drift got me hard with my Xbox series 2 elite controller. So having replaceable stick modules just made this an instabuy.
