The truck looks great. I can assure you there’s not one person who would turn this truck down if given to them. As far as the lift , it I looks good as far as i can see , and in reality doesn’t matter what anyone thinks, except you. Your the one who bought it.
No doubt that looks sharp as hell, but you’re going to go through ball joints and tie rod ends like crazy. I did this kit on my 2010 Silverado and it cost me $1500 in suspension work after a year and a half. I have a 2018 now and I’m just going to do an actual suspension lift that uses new knuckles and a diff drop. Goodluck with it, maybe the new UCA’s will prevent premature wear of the ball joints.
I did a 3.5 inch puck, a 1 inch bottom bracket, motofab leveling uppers and a diff drop kit and its working out great. Tons of space between the bump stops, cv angles within acceptable spec, and ball joints straight up and down. 4.5 inches of front lift and 2 inch blocks in the back. Next is 1.25 inch body lift. Don't really need it but tire clearance is tire clearance.
I put the same 3 inch on the front of my 2018 and 2.5 blocks on the back. Only issue I had ,which I see you have . Is the tires rub on the upper control arms . I put 1 inch wheel spacers and that solved the tire rub .
i always prefer my front end down a bit lower than the rear. the stock tilt is a bit too much but the 2.5" on the front only seems to bring it up just the right amount. I haul a lot of pallet loads and if my rear is level, once i fill that thing up, it looks like the truck is draggin ass big time! Otherwise your truck looks here!
I put the Moto Fab 2" leveling kit on my 18 and I really don't like the angle of the upper ball joints. I know they will last a while but I will probably put different upper A arms on at some point. I live on 14 miles of gravel road so they do take a beating.
Looks good,I have a much older Silverado a 2008 with a 3inch level kit on the front and I tend to get a lot of positive comments,so far no problems with my lift..
Do you have a doff drop in there as well? I am gettint he 3.5” knuckle lift by RC. Doesnt look bad to me. Hella good looking truck bud keep the videos coming!
Have the same set up on my 09 gmc Sierra Denali and had to replace the axles twice in two years. Did the upper a arms and well I’m hoping it won’t happen again. I heard of extended axles however I still need to do more research. But other then that your truck looks bad ass.
Dude, I have had several GM trucks and all you need is a 2 inch front and it will just about be completely level with the rear. You shouldnt have to take any block out of the rear, will look good!!
After installing my 3 1/2 inch suspension lift, my steering and Diff. Shafts have about the same identical angle. I’m wondering if this is OK and within tolerances ?
I have a 2007.5 silverado 1500, and I'm wondering if a 2.5in would bottom out the upper control arms. I'm possibly looking at a 2.5in in front 2in in the rear
there is a reason the bump stop is there, the cv joint has a limit of articulation. at your height you can look forward to axle bearing and cv axle failure
That balljoint looks horrible and will wear so quick, have fun replacing those multiple times a year not to mention the ride when the control arms/ball joints are like that...I ended up putting on a rough country control arm/built in ball join for lifted trucks and man!!! my truck has never rode so smooth. IT completly fixed all these issues. I have a 3" level on the suspension as well. I might even put on a diff drop kit.
Bob de Mers Nice! I want to get the 2.5 on my 2018 z71. You posted this comment 8 months ago just curious how it’s holding up? Any issues ? Did you need to lift the rear also to make it even with the front ?
Instead of guessing whether you CV will bind or not, jack up the wheel off the ground!and rotate the wheel by hand, if you feel binding then you have binding. it’s obvious.
Well that's not rly a level kit. That's just a front end lift. Your front is higher then your back by 2". I have a 3" lift in front and 2" lift in back and it sits level, with aftermarket UCAs the balljoint sits perfectly, just need to do a diff drop but angles really arnt that bad. Managed to fit a 275/65/r20 after doing norcal fender mod. With tires included I have a 4.5" lift from stock and rides just like factory
Did u have to adjust your headlights after the leveling kit install? I bought my 16 Silverado with a leveling kit already installed and I am always getting flashed by oncoming traffic. Any tips/ how to?
Dat upper ball joint tho!. I'm going to level my L5P with CCM's kit. Check them out they are alot cheaper then the big named kits. Those angles are ass my friend. Just saying.. beautiful truck by the way!
Richard Robbins Jr Not that I have seen or experienced. I cut mine off because I have a 3" leveling kit on my 2001 and my UCA's were riding on them. After I removed them I had a much better ride. A lot of the big tubular style UCA's actually say to cut them. They're meant to keep the front end from over extending, but I've met a couple guys that have 2wds and removed them with no problems and they jump their trucks. So if your close to them and don't like how your truck rides try taking them off. You can always get somebody to weld them back on
I wasn't being rude either. I'm just saying. On 4wd application what you're describing is a drop bracket lift. Requires cutting of the crossmember and for like myself raises the truck higher than i want. 2wd a spindle lift is cheap and easy.
Would have been nice if you could have put a level on the angle to see exactly how bad they are/aren't. They don't look too bad at all though in the video.
I had a 2012 Tahoe with a 3 inch kit on it, and it would pop and creak every time I would turn at slow speeds, or when I was just accelerating and slowing down... Anybody know what might have caused that?
Oh yeah it's bad. I wouldn't do it to my truck. That's a lot of angle on those c.v joints. You best get those new uni ball uca's. I'm lookin at fabtech tubular uni ball Uca's.
If your talking about the metal of the frame, then no. If your talking about the metal bump stop, no because I cut them off. I haven't had any issues with it.
I got same leveling kit but i put another spacer on the bottom off the spring shook and mi arm control hitting the metal bump stop , mi question is so if i cut the metal bump stop off , is not afect the suspension at all ?
veronica Huerta People do it but it's not safe, 2nd on 4wd I never go beyond 2.5 it will mess up your balljoints .if u want to leave the 3" then I would recommend aftermarket upper control arms also . I lift and lower vehicles for a living
Everyone saying RIP ball joints, I ran the exact setup for years and the joints are still good.
With the same truck ?

I'm Putting on the same exact leveling kit and I can't wait to see it in my 17 Sierra

I thought I wanted this kit til I saw this video. Thanks.

I have the same leveling kit and I’m just going to get rough country control arms. Cheaper and get the job done
I am picking up a 2018 Z71 Crew Cab in Pearl White and plan to install same 3" Motofab leveling kit. Tks for all the great info on your videos!
Love the videos bro! Keep them coming
I put the Moto Fab 2" leveling kit on my 18 and I really don't like the angle of the upper ball joints. I know they will last a while but I will probably put different upper A arms on at some point. I live on 14 miles of gravel road so they do take a beating.
Got the 3” leveling kit as well and im going to do the 1” drop on the differential should put the angels in a much better position
What brand are you looking at? I see them on eBay but they require cutting and grinding the diff.
What’s the kit for a 1” drop
Your truck looks awesome !!!!
Hows your CV booth or joints doing after two years?
All the subtle details make the truck look very nice👌
Looks good,I have a much older Silverado a 2008 with a 3inch level kit on the front and I tend to get a lot of positive comments,so far no problems with my lift..
what was your measurements for the rear and front from ground to fender well before the leveling kit
That CV angle really ins't even that bad. Replace the upper control arm and I think you'll be fine.
Yeah you need that uniball. Your ball joint angle is the only thing that looks maxxed out!
Do you have a doff drop in there as well? I am gettint he 3.5” knuckle lift by RC. Doesnt look bad to me. Hella good looking truck bud keep the videos coming!
That balljoint looks really bad

They also make cv axle spacers.
Maxx suspension kit on mine. (2018 2500 HD) comes with spacer to help with CV angles.
CV axle spacer?
Where do you buy the spacer? I have a 1500 Chevy that I put a RC 3 1/2 inch suspension lift on .
No problems yet.
Nice set up man! What UPCA did you ended getting? Have you looking into RC’s leveling UPCA’s
Dude, I have had several GM trucks and all you need is a 2 inch front and it will just about be completely level with the rear. You shouldnt have to take any block out of the rear, will look good!!
I didn't want it to sit completely level
2" won't level it. The rear is still 1½ or so higher. 3" will with stock rear blocks. I have all 3 kits for mine. Lol
How can you fix those angles from the axles and ball joints?
Omar ogkush You spend $50 on differential spacers.
str33tb1k3r that only helps CV angles though
Are CV spacers also needed?
there is a reason the bump stop is there, the cv joint has a limit of articulation. at your height you can look forward to axle bearing and cv axle failure
That's why it's always best to put diff drop spacers in when installing a leveling kit. Puts it right back to oem specification.
so if you put this leveling kit on with upgraded control arms it’ll for sure be fine?
Ready lift the best !!! Put1 on my 2021 trail boss love it !
I did the Bilstein 5100 on max setting (almost 2" lift) love the ride quality offroad
Adam I put the same blisteins what size tires do you have? I want to put 33/12.50-20. But I don’t know if fit

You really need to lift the rear. Trucks should NEVER be lower in the rear.
I have cognitio UPCA on my 2008 gmc and the difference between the cheaper tuff country ones i had and these cognitos is night and day
was you able to put the wires back on the top of the strut bolts? what leveling kit you have?
I was expecting worse thats pretty good actually
RIP to those ball joints
Our lx570 lexus cx angles are the same as this lift and the lexus are stock
I put the 2.5 inch lift kit for my brand new 2017 single cab and it is perfect not too high just prefect rough country 2.5 lift

Ball joints are going to take a hit, cognito a-rms rock and will take care of the bump stop issue
I wanna install a 3” in the front and 2” in the back leveling kit. Do I need upper control arms for that?
Yes it would be a good idea
It would be very beneficial!
Does it ride smooth still? Or does the littlest pot hole feel like you hit a canyon?
I think I will just leave my truck alone, looks like way too many problems down the road just to put a bigger tire on it
Do you viberate or shake when its in auto 4wd
I went with the same leveling kit and just cut off the metal under the bump stock so nothing stops the control arm from going all the way down
Is that safe? I'd really like to do that
Well that's not rly a level kit. That's just a front end lift. Your front is higher then your back by 2".

Also well brand and size, would love to know what they are?
Nice truck bud! What size tires are you running? Any rub? I didn’t see any marks where they may rub.
33s, they do rub a little. Check out my channel i have a video showing it.
What's your opinion on the iridescent tricolor perl color z71. I'm thinking about that color
Travis Close love mine hides dust pretty well and cleans up easily doesn’t show water spots or minor scratches
I think its the nicest color you can get and am very happy with mine.

Adjust them. It's super easy

Why don't people upgrade to bigger spindles with the bigger spacer or spring to keep the control arm angles right?
Instead of buying different control arms and keeping the factory ones wouldn't that work?
That's called a lift kit lmao
Yeah...just wondering why go through all the trouble of paying that 200 extra for the control arms when most of the time the spindles are cheaper?

Didn't have one short enough or i would have.
I've read a lot that kryptonite UCA's are better than cognito
Kinda sketchy I'm thinking about just staying stock for a while and dropping the rear of mine 2"
It makes the front look higher than the rear! Doesn't look level to me!
Truck would look better with a 1 inch rear block. Trucks shouldn't squat in the rear
