    Just came here to say, this video helped me install the same lift on my truck. I did the entire thing on jackstands in my garage. It took 4 hours for the rear and 10 hours for the front by myself. I followed the video step by step and did not have any significant issues. If your thinking about doing this just make sure you got the right tools. I made what I had work but would have been way faster if I had an impact! Thanks for the video!

    This video is legit! Took me 3 whole days in my garage with the truck on jack stands! Just a heads up some of the hardware is claimed to be a certain size, such as the 12 mm bolts but there’s none in the kit. It makes it god damn confusing trying to guess which hardware you’re supposed to use cuz you could end up needing it later… I guess that’s what I get for buying RC though. All in all it’s not too difficult. Definitely invest in an impact for this job and a creeper if you’re doing this on the floor like I did. Maybe even a second jack for dropping the diff and the rear axle if you’re doing this solo, although a 2x8 plank should suffice. Good luck and thanks for the video man!

      Another tip for those of you guys with a lot of rust would be to WD-40 the living sh** out of the hardware you’re gonna remove a day or two before starting.

    So my question is how much extra weight does this kit add to the weight of the truck? Along with new and larger wheels and tires that could be a additional few hundred pounds, which will cut down the mpg and also will add additional wear on the transmission and ⚙, this is a additional cost of expense added which I don't think 🤔, they don't take into consideration before the choose to add a lift kit, I haven't done this to my new Silverado 1500 truck I'm taking into consideration of the wear and tear on parts along with larger wheels and heavier tires..decisions..

    • @Feldanin

    • @sirdumbthicc4294
      @sirdumbthicc4294 3 года назад

      You really can’t. You just get used to it and come in at a better angle. Park away from other cars so you don’t have to try to squeeze in, if you’re turning into a tight driveway swing a little etc. anytime you lift/ go wider your turning radius will get worse.
