I like the self-destruction of the gas door cover. Spring breaks off and the door just flops around but you can buy a whole new housing tho!!
You don’t have to click the unlock button 3 times. Just press and hold it and it will unfold the mirrors and roll the windows down. Same with the lock button, press and hold the lock button it will fold in the mirrors.
Is this only for certain models?

I would first check and see if you have any blown fuses, that sounds like the common culprit
No need to tap the unlock 3 times, just hold unlock to roll the windows down. At least that's how my 2019 works, my 2016 the same.
It's not just a pick up truck, it's the all new 2019 silverado
If I just hold the unlock button down the windows come down, I don't have to click it 3 times first. I have a 2021 Trail Boss.
I wonder could you wire the dashcam to an open Upfitter/Aux switch?
Or you could wire it direct to the fuse box to a fuse that is not live all of the time.

If you’re talking about matching a new keyless remote to your vehicle, the owners manual has instructions I believe.
I cant change that 50 amp on my 23 Custom to give the outlet constant power. Mine is missing the third prong.

Anybody get that ceramic wax included on the vehicle? How long is that good for and I was told never to wax it because it breaks it down. What if I use a ceramic wax and put it on top of that wax that came with the car. I was told to use the cheapest car washes. Anybody have information on this please comment.

The biggest thing that I hate about my truck is the little knob that controls the information on the instrument cluster. It's very awkward to reach and uncomfortable. They should have put the controls on the steering wheel or somewhere else. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
You should have bought a higher model than the base model
you need an LT or up, hard to complain when its offered but didnt spend lil extra to get it

Engine isn’t started check the rpm’s
When the engine isn't running the check engine light will be on in most if not all vehicles
I think it was from taking the air filter off. I went back off the next time I drove it.

Lt. 2.7L turbo it has micro 2 and 3 fuses, add a circuit part doesn't fit

What I’d like to know is why is it when I’m in my truck parked engine off and I open the drivers side door and then close it back with me in the truck. The horn will sound twice with out me touching the horn. I see no use of this. And if I’m at someone’s house and I’m like well I don’t want to wake any one up so I’m not going to get out of the truck and I close my truck door, what do ya know that stupid horn just blew twice with out me touching the horn in the truck.
Do you have a remote keyless entry for your truck? I've heard that if you leave it in your truck after the doors are closed it will sound the horn to alert you that you've left it in your vehicle
Check the settings.
You have two different scenario's one with you remaining in the truck and the other with you in the truck. I'll address the first, if you have your keys in the truck (truck off) and close the door, the horn will sound twice letting you know the keys are still in the truck. The second scenario I have no idea.

I was accidentally pressing and holding the unlock button when my keys were in my pocket....let's just say my windows came down without my knowledge and stayed down for the entire duration of a heavy rain storm......

That 12V plug. Wouldn’t it drain the battery having a dashcam or something else plugged into it? I know it’s only 12V but I’m curious

Yes exactly, that’s why with moving the fuse you can switch the fuse from being on all the time, to just come on when you turn the key. It comes stock as an always live plug.
I like having the 12V outlet "hot" all the time, because I sometimes go weeks without driving the truck so I use that outlet as an "inlet" for a solar charger...
I love the trail boss custom. However I wonder for the price you pay why GM still put 4:46 s shitty headlights on them. Good old halogen lights are junk. Hope they change that in the future.
Put LEDs in them. It only takes 10 minutes
My lt came with all LEDs except front blinkers and backup lights

Here’s another hidden feature, bad lifter aft warranty expires $6k, dead battery, can’t unlock doors or put it in neutral to move it. Bad camshaft $9k.
If your initial warranty expires. You can always get a new warranty.
