Just bought my 19 LTZ w/Technology package. I really love this truck. Came from a 14 LT. I didn’t know about the mirror, blind spot or hitch light. Thanks. Just subscribed.
Thank you for the feature set. I had no idea. I've just started looking at the Silverado again, expecting to purchase within months. My wife and I might just fly out for a visit. I'm sure the drive back to San Diego in a 2019 Silverado Diesel truck would be a trip to remember.

Thanks for sharing, didn't know any of those points. What I did discover, and not particularly fond of, was how a person can start the truck, get out for some reason, forget the key on a table or something and reenter the vehicle and drive off past the 30 foot distance before any warning appears! There's a video out on RUclips showing this. Although, as with other manufacturers, you won't be able to restart without the key fob! But the distance one can drive after forgetting it was rather alarming to me. Nice video, and thanks again...👍
Yes I did but it's because I recently bought a 2020. I like technology and have read the owners manual cover to cover trying to learn. The new 2020 Chevy Silverado LTZ 6.2L is an amazing vehicle. Thanks for doing these vids Chevy Dude

Sweet68Camaro I bought 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT if this truck can not get 200kmiles before any mangers think break down then this will the last Chevy truck I ever buy. My old tundra 2005 gets 247kmiles as today still run like a champ and no rust at all. I have no idea why I bought a another truck🤨

Wireless charging in console, yeah it’s a thing people might like to know about. The power running boards have a kick button on the back to deploy them from outside the truck, without opening a door and without using fob, they articulate downward and more interesting REARward to give you superior access to the bed. Might want to consider not getting them if you plan on changing to larger tires/wheels. I have the optional 22” from factory and it’s close, I imagine a fatter tire might interfere. Other than all that....good video.
Absolutely right on the trailer towing. I sell cargo/utility trailers and RARELY sell GVWs of 10,000 lbs. and above to people driving half tons, usually at least 2500s.
That step bumper with sensor in there downside is you can’t as easily switch to a pre-runner or aftermarket rear metal heavy duty off road bumper as you can in RAM and FORD like the Raptor did for better departure angle
And the downside of the Ford taillight sensors is that a taillight costs well over $800 f**king dollars to replace. If you plan on putting on an aftermarket heavy duty bumper, you just skip the blind spot monitoring option.
I just bought a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado LT Texas Edition this passed weekend. Please note that some of the feature mentioned on this video are only available on certain trim packages. For instance the tailgate lowering remote feature on my LT Silverado. My tailgate can be lowered inside the cab via push button and with the remote. However, the tailgate will not return to the closed position remotely.
Thanks again for the informative video! I'm still trying to make a decision between Chevy or GMC. I absolutely love both, and your videos have put forth such great info to help us make a decision. I've been watching your advise from a dealer perspective and will use the do's and don'ts when making the trip to the dealer.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but with the power articulating running-boards, you can move them back so that you can step up on them and access the front area of the bed. Or easily access a toolbox. With the running-boards extended, tap the rear end of the running board and it moves back. Really like that feature. We bought A 2019 high country 6.2 L V8 10 speed. So far we are really liking all the features that it has to offer.
3:48 ok. Woa! let me stop you there. Blind spot monitoring doesn't go through weak aluminum?... It doesn't go through metal... The blind spot monitoring in the F150 is in the tail lights...
Agreed! This argument from Chevy needs to stop...they've integrated aluminum all over this truck (which IS smart) but sales folks are still trying that crap, ignorant, childish argument...smh
I had no clue about the lift raise after lowering it with either inside the cab or from back of bed or key even. Pretty sweet going to try it out after work on my rst see if it works thanks Chevy dude
Didn’t know about the Back up cam is nice and the Led light either along with bed measurements. Since they lower the mirrors on the door how is it driving? Does it make a difference?
Just clicking around watching new truck videos and almost fell out my chair when I read your shirt. This guy is right here in Louisville! Pretty cool! Hope your meeting with Gary Vee was amazing. Keep up the great content.
Hey Mike- which trim levels have the automatic closing/shutting tailgates? Mine is a 2019 RST Z71 All Star and doesn’t seem to work when I hold the key fob button like you showed. Thanks buds, Jesse
Yes I new about some of the options.I'm pretty sure that the bow tie is gone on the 2020 Chevy 2500 HD and up. I like old school of CHEVROLET stamped on or in the panels
So I have questions about the radar in the bumper. What happens if you get mud or material stuck in the bumper step does it hinder your ability to use blis? How do you replace the bumper with an aftermarket bumper such as ranch hand brand. As a rancher who uses his truck it is helpful to be able to push something or bump something without trashing your stock bumper.
Yes I knew most of them but I’m also a car hauler this truck has single handily made want one and I haul a crap load of different brands but I had some these on before the release date and was like sold but not going to lie I love that multi tailgate on the gmc
Does the truck still a back up camera in the tailgate or just the one in the third brake light? I love my Sierra with the backup camera in the tailgate which allows me too see lower on the ground behind the truck.
I wish it did. I have this truck in the video and my brother has a 2019 AT4 sierra with the 2 piece tailgate, and the tailgate is way nicer on his but it doesn't close by itself, which I'd be willing to get rid of for a 2 piece tailgate
I like your video of the 2019 Silverado and the info on the tailgate. I may know something you don’t know! Try opening the tailgate without the fob in your possession if you can I would like to know how! Thanks Bob Huff , Villa Rica, Ga.
Didn't know I could put up tailgate by long pressing button inside cab. Good to know. Also didn't know about blind spot sensor in step. Knew about the rest.
@Chevy Dude What is the difference in the wheel openings from '18 to '19. Will the new trucks still require fender trimming if you want a tall and wide tire with an aftermarket lift.
Ford put it in the taillight so they can increase the odds that you'll have to buy an entire tail light assembly for $800+ dollars. Sensors dies? Sorry that will be $800. Somebody busted the lense? Sorry that will be $800.
@@hochhaul Lens breaks? Good news, there's aftermarket OEM providers that sell that sensor alone and well as full taillight assemblies for far less than what a dealer will sell. Better news, learn how to check your blindspots and set your mirrors properly so that you don't need a stupid proof gadget like a blind spot monitor.
BLIS sensors are in the bumper as some vehicles will not be detected if it were in the taillight as they are not tall enough. Plus it would be an absolute nightmare for upfitters to install emergency lights if they had to work around a sensor that requires calibration to accurately detect orientation of vehicle to proximity of surrounding vehicles.

@@GMK6300L Yet everyone loses their mind over the GM ignition switch, which required multiple stupid decisions by the owner to combine to create a dangerous situation... aaaand ONLY in a wreck! The most common issue being that people loved to hang 5 lbs of junk on their keychain along with a 16" lanyard. Oh and many were drunk when they crashed. But oh man what a big deal it was that the spring that held the key in the ON position was slightly easier to rotate.
People have really slammed GM for some of their designs. I HATE that people gripe. Remember how everybody was saying new cars are ugly and they all look the same? I am VERY happy to see somebody taking a chance, taking a risk! Don't slam them for that guys!!
Mike, I need help! I got by Trail Boss LT the other day and it does not have the full map navigation nor does it have the speed limit advisory in the gauge panel. Can I upgrade? How? Is it just a simple software download...is it software and hardware or do I have to replace the e tire infotainment system? How much does or should it cost? No one can seem to give me an answer. Thanks in advance!
@@ChevyDude I love being able to navigate from the large screen in the truck and I love being able to leave my phone alone and let it charge. I'm going to give Android Auto and waze another try and see if I change my mind.
Yeah, I knew all about those except for the last tailgate trick (lift just a little). I have a 2020 LTZ and I've got one more little thing to share. If you get the tow mirrors, there are work lights on the front AND back. The forward ones are operated by a button near the headlight dial and can be cycled both/driver/passenger/off. The rear facing lights in the tow mirrors light up with the bed lighting. Both sets are super bright.
The only item I didn't know about was the LED light for towing hookup at night. Only knew the bed was bigger didn't know the measurements. Love all the great new features of the Chevy and GMC trucks.
These features are mostly on the High Country, I have the Z71 RST, didn’t come with the rear view mirror camera, or the auto raise tail gate. Did you know you can lower all the windows with the key fob? I have a question? hard to explain tho. How do you scan for radio station with the steering wheel button with out just looping through the preprogrammed stations you already have? If your traveling and you want to look fro a radio station, you have to use the buttons on the dash. Other wise it will only scan for you station you already have, and don’t exist where your at---at the time.
If you hook the tail gate support strap around the bolt the hitch hooks into then your backup camera points right at the tailgate. You can basically line up the trailer yourself
I love my 2019 all-star Silverado. The power is incredible, the design of the inside and out is awesome. Totally my style. I did just have the Right Banks Lifters replaced at 5,500 miles. All good though, the warranty covered it. Shit happens. I took it for a 200 mile test drive yesterday....woohoo perfect.
Know: Blind spot in bumper. Bigger bed. Tow capacity Did not know: 2 bluetooth instead of just 1. Digital mirror, I thought that was only available in the sierra. Bed is wider than long. Light built into tailgate.
Ok I knew about the tailgate power up and down and I expected the rear view mirror because my wife has a 2018 Chevy Traverse Premier with the same mirror as in the camera. Which is really cool. I use it all the time. Other than that I didnt know the rest. But great videos Ive seen a few of yours and keep up the great work. Im up here is Maple Ridge BC Canada.
Like your advice, but I just wondered if there is any word about correcting the transmission problems Chevrolet is having with the 8 and 10 speed transmissions. This problem has me looking at other types of trucks.
only thing the newer gm trucks do not have anymore is the the turn signal in the glass on the mirrors gm took them off cuz of the blind spots u can no longer get the turn signal mirrors
Awesome video brother you should get your self a new truck to haul camaro to track or a chevy dude merch trailer have a safe dun trip keep up the awesome work
I bought a 2020 Siverado LT with the base radio and speakers. I wasn't pleased with the sound quality and the base sound was very weak on AM/FM stations. I used my Android cellphone and played iheart radio on bluetooth or used my phone while plugged into the USB port. I downloaded the Equalizer app and chose Rock music settings. I now have an almost HD sound quality in my radio and I can feel the base through my speakers.
Will the button to lower the tailgate work with a trailer hooked up? That will be a problem for me if it does because it could accidentally lower while trying to hit auto start stop off or another button then damage the tailgate. I damaged my 14 Silverado tailgate on the trailer jack as it hits the tailgate with a trailer hooked up

I knew the bed was bigger. Didn't know the exact measurements in comparison to the 2018
GM trucks have long had boring interiors.
i didn't know any of these things, but i did know about the first thing u talked bout
I've been a dick in the past sorry and thank you for helping me decide when and what to buy . your helping people by the thousands really.....
You the man bro keep it up
Do the trucks w/o the radar blindspots still have the blindspot mirrors in the side view?
Does the custom also have a auto closing tailgate
Love the videos keep up the great work.
I was curious what you thought of the shop click drive process vs coming into the dealership.
I thought ford uses rear lights for blind system not aluminum side
Its in the tail lights and makes them very expensive to replace.
Hockhaul. Good grief, who plans for getting in a wreck? 25 years not one incident yet and that’s the majority
Had no idea..... Teach us Chevy Sendai......🙏🏽
That really makes me want to trade in my 2016...
Definitely should.
Definitely shouldn't
You won't regret it
People have really slammed GM for some of their designs.
Only the down position works on my tailgate, NO UP...
High country only option
The only item I didn't know about was the LED light for towing hookup at night. Only knew the bed was bigger didn't know the measurements. Love all the great new features of the Chevy and GMC trucks.
Did not know any of that now you really getting me to like it I still hate new engine package I want all 8 running v8
Does the RST have those tailgate features?
Have you got the back window leak yet? Cuz, its gonna happen if you have the sliding glass.
Know:
Blind spot in bumper.
Bigger bed.
Tow capacity
Did not know:
2 bluetooth instead of just 1.
No I didnt know thank you for sharing!!!
Just got the 19 rst in Pearl white.. My dream truck.. Glad I didn't get the ram I was looking at
I knew about all of them. Does Chevy offer the heads up display on the High Country like on the new Denali?
when do we get to see the 3.0 diesel in the 1500?
Like your advice, but I just wondered if there is any word about correcting the transmission problems Chevrolet is having with the 8 and 10 speed transmissions. This problem has me looking at other types of trucks.
only thing the newer gm trucks do not have anymore is the the turn signal in the glass on the mirrors gm took them off cuz of the blind spots u can no longer get the turn signal mirrors
Do you sell only new or will you sell used?
Love Chevy dude !!
