    I post there more often and can actually see the truck of how it sits now. The Instagram page is geared towards an offroad rig. Thanks!

    Your wheels in the bed you’re referring to are called tires. Wheels are the rims. Just FYI.

    Is this because you kept the upper control arms stock? Upgraded control arms would make ball joints much happier in 3” levels

    Bro any problems after that leveling? I run in to a lot of problem first upper hat to be replace for one with more angle then stock wheels and tires star rubbing with it and I put 2” spacers but some ticking noise that never when away serious it wasn’t worth it

    Did you seriously call a strut spacer a wheel spacer and call a strut a coil over?

    I like helping people out,so On my 19' z71, (classic)Canadian version, so 18' body. I had a 2" and now a 3" motofab front 2¼ rear blocks. YOU WILL NEED UPPER CONTROL ARMS. And diff drop spacers. The angles are way to much. I do have a few videos on this. 1500km and the 3" caused my factory ball joints to work themselves out ⅛ out.

    • @throwarod7549
      @throwarod7549  4 года назад

      Anything higher than 2.5 you will need to modify a lot of your suspension components. At this point, I would recommend a full Coilover suspension vs spacers

    • @Average_D
      @Average_D 4 года назад +3

      Anything under 3” for a spacer lift keeps the suspension geometry well within factory geometry allowances. 3” and up is too much for a spacer lift and would absolutely require UCAs and possibly a differential spacer. I have a 2019 LT z71 and just ordered the 2.5” front/ 2” Rear kit. If you look at the GM performance lift that comes from the factory on the Trail Boss, there are no modifications other than strut spacers and shocks or shock extenders and the geometry angles are fine. Don’t get me wrong, UCAs would definitely help preserve the upper ball joint, but is not necessary and differential drops are a bit of an overkill for a sub 3” lift. In your case maybe not, but then why spend all the money trying to sort it out when you can install a 4” lift with UCAs and diff drops included? To each his own I guess. I had a 2017 Lt1500 with the same 2.5” lift and had zero joint or CV damage for over 36k miles. Would you still be able to clear your wheels and tires if you dropped the top spacer down to 2” or 2.5”? That would be my suggestion from personal experience.

      Mine is a 2wd, which is 1.5” lower than 4x4 in front. Does that mean I can afford to go with 3” spacer? I’m not sure if Upper control arms are same on both 2wd & 4wd. And any different between this style spacer and the C shape spacer?

    • @Average_D
      @Average_D 4 года назад +1

      Hugo Arreguin raising your front end with a spacer lift would be the same as on a 4x4 model. 3” is 3” over stock geometry. I always recommend keeping any spacer style lift 2.5” or less. 2” is really the ideal amount of lift before you start to really stress your suspension components. That being said, even at 2” it’s best to run the spacers with new shocks and Upper control arms. Or at least just UCA’s to correct the ball joint angles

      Hey man so I just got my 3’’ leveling kit. Should I just return it and get a 2.5’’ cause I’m not trying to replace my UCAs or cause any excessive wear.

    • @errljr6830

      Too big for the stock suspension over time the ball joint will pop loose if you want to do a 3" go with upgraded control arms

    • @dakotafleshman4122
      @dakotafleshman4122 3 года назад

      RC control arms will solve that problem after the upgrade angle of the rough country control arms you should be set.

      In theory 3” is too big for upper control arms. But I’ve had 3” spacer in for 2 years on my 2014 Sierra and my stock upper control arms are still good. I’ll eventually change the upper control arms but for now they’re still in good shape.

    • @michaelreed1670
      @michaelreed1670 3 года назад

      You can go with the 3’’ spacer lift on from moto fab but to sorriest the angles you should go with the UCA’s as well. Ive had a couple people do that and its just fine.

      @@michaelreed1670 yeah I’ve had my 3” motofab for a couple years with zero issue, but I also don’t treat my truck like a toy. The most off-roading I do is logging roads for hunting. I’ll save the thrashing around the dirt for my dirt bike and four wheelers.
