  • In this episode of how to fix your ugly lawn, Alex applies Lesco CarbonPro G biochar soil amendment. Lesco CarbonPro is an organic soil enhancer that improves soil quality which helps grow stronger roots. Stronger roots equals healthier grass that is more resistant to drought. It also help the turf maintain its color even when under stress.
    🔴 Carbon Pro G Alternative Online: golfcourselawn...
    As the series progresses, we'll document a process that YOU can follow to transform your ugly lawn to a golf course lawn. In this episode we talk about the benefits of carbon soil enhancements to your lawn care program.
    Lesco CarbonPro G is an organic fertilizer / soil amendment that conditions the soil and provides many benefits for bermuda grass and zoysia grass lawn. It's a granular soil amendment that contains humic acid, biochar, compost and other microbial that conditions the soil to improve plant health. CarbonPro G is easier to apply than other granular carbon soil amendments. It's a granular organic soil amendment / fertilizer manufactured by Mirimichi Green for Lesco. Mirimichi Green is a leading producer of carbon soil amendment technology and is known for their great CarbonizPN
    Carbon Pro is similar to other carbon fertilizers like Carbon X that promotes deeper, stronger roots through improved nutrient uptake. Stronger roots allow the grass to better take advantage of soil nutrients. This improved nutrient uptake makes your turf grass more efficient which allows you to have green grass using less water. One big it advantage Carbon Pro G has over Carbon X is it makes it possible to add carbon to your soil in the form of rich biochar WITHOUT adding NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium0 in the process.
    The CarbonPro soil conditioner allows your turf grass to perform better in drought and other stressful conditions. For those either trying to seed new lawns or overseed established lawns, Carbon Pro is similar to Carbon Pro L in that it improves seed establishment. We applied it to Alex's Bermuda grass lawn this season along with Carbon Pro L.

The turf is definitely doing better this year compared to last year.

    I had such a tough time with Carbon Pro G. It kept getting stuck. I was using a tow spreader, so I was constantly having to check to see if it was coming through the opening. I had to stop A LOT. In fact, I had to open the portal even more to get it started. For me, it wasn't so much clumping as it was just not flowing. Sometimes there was an opening from the bottom to the top and tons of product on the sides not falling through the opening. I think I will go with the liquid version next week, because I am really not sure how much of my lawn I actually missed with the granular.

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  4 года назад +1

      Hi Mind Business. How wide open were you running the spreader? On an Earthway spreader, setting 23 provides a pretty good rate where the product flows smoothly. I'm sorry you had a poor outcome. Which spreader were you using?

    • @mindbusiness9734
      @mindbusiness9734 4 года назад

      @@RonHenry I used a Agri-Fab spreader that recommends 3-5 for granules and I put it on 7, but it would still get clogged or stop falling into the opening.

    🌞Man, your channel has taken off!! What's the secret other than great content? 👍 I notice you use square brackets in the title. Is that some algorithm catcher? Anyway, keep up the hard work! 🌞

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  4 года назад +1

      Heya Sunny Bermuda. I started using square brackets because psychologically it looks more like a link to be clicked which people are pretty used to. That's just one part of it though. Creating good thumbnails is really important because no matter how good your video is, it won't matter if no one is compelled to look at it. Once the video starts, get straight to the point telling the viewer what the video is about and what they can expect. That helps set the tone and will increase the likelihood of the viewer continuing to watch.
      So instead of starting your video with your intro, start it with telling them what's coming up in the video. Then if you want to use an intro as a bridge it would be ok. So the timeline looks something like. Set *Expectations ---> Short Intro ----> Content*. Assuming you have good thumbnails, the content is what really matters. Figure out what people are having trouble with and create content to help them with that problem. Think of RUclips as a video search engine. If you focus on providing the best answer to the question in an entertaining way, your channel should start performing better. It's all about what's most helpful to the viewer. Does that make help? 😎👍

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  4 года назад +2

      Hi Jeremy. I’m still debating with whether to release a calendar like that because it really only works if you do everything I’m doing. For example, I add nitrogen to my lawn every month during the growing season. That only works if used in combination with PGR. If you only do the fertilizer without the PGR, you’ll be hating life because the lawn will grow like crazy.

    Would this be a good product if all my macronutrients are low???

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  4 года назад +2

      Hi Andre. For macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) being low, most fertilizers will improve those. For micronutrient deficiencies, a product like Brandt Supreme Green would be better. You can find an alternative here on Amazon: amzn.to/2WRaPrI Which nutrients are you low in?

    •  4 года назад

      @@RonHenry Unfortunately all three macronutrients, Magnesium, Iron, zinc, copper, and boron. My pH is optimal at least

    I talked to a rep from Central Irrigation in Tyrone, he suggested Jackpot . What’s ur expertise opinion?

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  4 года назад +1

      Hi Darnell. This is the first I'm hearing of the Jackpot product. Are you referring to the one by BioSi? I've not used it or know anyone else that has. That doesn't mean that it's no good though. I'll have to do more research on it before being able to offer an informed opinion. Thanks for telling me about it.
