I live in Texas and grass fires are very common and i have seen a field of trash weeds and grass burnt to a crisp and within a matter of weeks that burnt field is growing beautiful green GRASS better than ever.
Doc I enjoy your videos first and foremost And I enjoy my yardwork but to be honest I hate having to mow every three days is there something I could do so I don’t have to mow as much and just enjoy my beautiful green rich yard And my yard only looks that good because of you and your advice thank you
Is this similar to Anderson's 'Humic DG CharX'? Maybe this is just a newer or improved or slightly stronger version? Humic DG CharX is available from my local landscape supply store... so I think maybe it's good enough, esp as it's available locally without needing to mail-order from Amazon, etc. Also, is this good for garden plants and trees too? Which is my real intended use/interest of this.
Thanks for the outstanding videos and info. I live in the Dallas, Tx area, just had my new home built. Builder just had my Bermuda sod put down. It’s been raining frequently past couple weeks. Is there anything I need to do at this point? Thanks.
I've taken over my daughter's high school softball field. The base Bermuda is a mess. We don't have a really big budget. So I won't be digging everything up and reseeding or putting new sod down. Will this product be beneficial for me to put down in my effort to strengthen and hopefully spread what Bermuda I have?
Hi Doc I have a question about the Humigreen biochar. Since biochar is based on its surface areas ability to hold nutrients, what happens when you make it dissolve into micro particles? Does it lose the ability to hold nutrients because it does not have any surface area ?
HUMICHAR... 😀 you have to think about it in relational size to bacteria or microbes. To them a single particle is the size of a 3000 sq ft home. So no, larger "chunks" do not perform better. It's more about movement and distribution.
Don't have acces to your website from Portugal for some reason, I was hoping to find more information on the Humichar. I dump loads of biochar in with my ducks and guess what happens in their water bowl? A semi-colloidal biochar builds up there :)
If a Bio-char piece the size of a Tums tablet has the surface area of a tennis court, to use your term, why do you need to apply it every month, for 2 seasons? Sounds like tremendous overkill. I could see twice a year, maybe....but every month ?!?
@@HowTowithDoc do you think your Barricade DG pre-em app didn't work as expected? Any lessons learned? I'm also in GA and applied a coat of Barricade DG about the same time as you and have no winter weeds thus far!
Nope... you can start applying anytime you want, but it's usually done during the growing season. It's a slow moving product through the layers. You can see the calendar on the website.

This is why I use a liquid Humic so I know it is going down in the soil.
Looking forward to using it this year. Your products have done an amazing job to my cool season grass. Thank you.
Man, i can already tell by the way youre talking this Humichar up that its going to be expensive!! It sure sounds good though.

If your lawn is totally healthy and full, you can use a growth regulator. Video coming this spring.
How do you pelletize it like you do? Don't worry, I'm located in PA so your competition won't be stiff!

Be nice if you showed us the application and watering to show it disappearing
googled and it shows biochar lasts 1000 years. So do you add it just one time to the lawn or are you adding it every year?
I keep searching for "HumiChar" as Doc describes, but all I can find is Anderson's Humic DG. If that the same as HumiChar?
Doc if I use HUMICHAR biochar throughout the year will I still need to top dress with topsoil in the Fall before overseeding?

If budget is a concern... put down Humichar and PGF Complete. That should do the trick.
@@HowTowithDoc what if budget wasnt a concern? For that same scenario, and budget is nit a concern, what would you recommend?
Hey Doc,
Can i use these tips on fescue grass. Thanks in advance.
Poa Annua is coming for this winter.
Frist to support Doc for the quality video!
Wow great video from me in the uk
I’m hyped about this product. Any word when it will be available on Amazon?? I want to get it out on the turf before the end of Spring, man..😜

@@HowTowithDoc Humichar, sorry I thought it looked weird when I typed it. That makes sense.
Looking forward to using thos product.
Doc, where can we buy this, Amazon doesn't have any in stock and no mention of when it will be available
How is this different than the Anderson’s Humic DG that you showed dispersing in water. Very curious?
Hi Doc, for a lawn I have what rate do I need to put biochar down at? Cheers
hey Doc great video, your enthusiasm talking about the product is interesting and appreciated! 2020 looking forward to all your videos...thx, tww
what is the microsize of this humichar?
Thank You, I have never heard of that. Where can you buy it?
Any idea on the cost for the 40lb bag??
Not yet... should be close to Humic DG pricing.

You're better off FEEDING them some raw biochar... not a mix. It's done with chickens all the time.

Can this be use on a spray tank for lawn application?
No, it's applied with a spreader only.
Can I put this on Bermuda sod that was put down in the beginning of December? I’m in far south Alabama.
Yes..... anytime.
Where can i buy this stuff ? Can i buy it at the big box stores?
Will give it a try. Your link in the description says it's $55/bag. Curious to see how much coverage.
Should we be worried about our lawns breaking dormancy prematurely, with these 60+ degree temperatures we've been having out here in the southeast?
Nope... give a few days and the FEB cold will set it back.
Was going to ask the same thing. Warm winter and my yard is getting weedy patches but feels like it’s too early for pre emergent
Is Biochar an alternative to Milorganite?
It's not a fertilizer.
Thank you.👍👍

Because we are working on getting a PERCENTAGE of the soil / biochar ratio. As stated in the video.
What makes this different from Humic DG™ CharX™?
It replaces the HUMIC DG . It is 50/50 humic acid and biochar.
I don’t understand what it’s going to do to my lawn!
The biochar learning process will come this month.
Doc you got a lot of Poa Annua too.
Few spots on the back side as usual.... we'll treat them next month.
How To with Doc please make a video about it.

It worked fine. Without the PE the ENTIRE yard turns green from PA. it's the major weed in our area.
Can we expect to see an updated video on how to get rid of Poa Annua?
Your using some big words that I haven’t heard since college . Molecular
You ate that? It was nice knowing you. Haha
Its just charcoal. People ingest activated charcoal all the time for health reasons.
Do you need to.do anything eles to your yard before put this product on your yard 🙄🙄??
