Hi Doc, I’m currently rehabbing my front lawn due to it having weed for years. There’s turf grass which is a hybrid Bermuda. It’s roughly around 3000 sqft and I threw down a whole 18lb bag down about 2 weeks ago. Man, this stuff is amazing! The existing turf grass is taking off and parts of my lawn that was bald and never really had any growth, is starting to sprout. I’m also seeing so much stolon growth. I put down a bag of some Scott’s fertilizer prior to this and that really didn’t do much. This stuff is amazing. I’m hoping to get my lawn looking like “the world’s worst Bermuda lawn” after this season since I was late with the pre emergent.
6 bags ordered as soon as I got the notification. Going to test it side by side with Carbon X.

This is great stuff for my Bermuda lawn. Hint - make sure you dethatch your yard before applying. I dethatched my front yard but not my back yard as an experiment. My front yard is super dark green and is growing non stop. My backyard is ok but not as great as my front yard. Heck I used the Groundskeeper II rake to dethatch my front yard and it is awesome. Next year I will use a gas powered dethatcher and I bet it will be even better. Thanks Doc and Andersons for this product!

When I switched to regular PGF on a few lawns, Zoysia, Bermuda, and TTTF; all the the blades got twice as thick as normal. The Zoysia looks nothing like Zoysia anymore. The TTTF looks like a dallisgrass lawn (If dallisgrass was turf type) But the bermuda got thick as common. I cant wait to see what results the complete version brings.
In Pinellas County Florida, you cannot use Nitrogen between June and end of August and you cannot use any phosphorus at any time unless a recent soil tests says you need it. I use the original PGF outside the June-August blackout, but I'm still looking for a potash-only fertilizer I can use during the blackout period.

Got a bag on the way! I’m having a TON of seed head growth in my Bermuda lawn. Is this a good thing or bad thing? Do I need to cut them down quickly? Thanks for the info!

Doc, I had some leftover 34-0-0 slow release (Ace Hardware brand) and to overcome the wide-dispersion issue you demonstrate (near the end of the video) between the larger pellets and the smaller PGF- Complete, I just increased the width of the opening of my Scott Broadcast Spreader from the recommended #6 to #8 and I got a much denser coverage rate. I used to be able to cover my front and back yard with one bag (40 lbs) but now it takes 60 lbs to cover both (approx. 6000 sf) So in reality, I think the key issues are not the size of the fertilizer pellets, rather it is the rate at which you apply and the composition of the fertilizers themselves (ie. effectiveness) I am looking forward to trying PGF Complete and will apply at the #6 setting, so I should be able to cover the front and back with a single 40# bag. What do you think? BTW: I put a 40lb bag of Anderson's HumiChar on my back yard at the #8 setting on my Scott's Broadcaster, and it used the entire bag, just like the 34-0-0 bag of Nitrogen at the same #8 setting. The pellets are similar in size, so I thought it would work out just about equal.

Just watched this again. That’s a very effective fertilizer. I don’t want to mow my grass every 48 hours, so I wouldn’t put it down any heavier than the recommended rate and maybe every four or five weeks.
I will need 4 bags of PGF complete . Should I divide the application in 4 days or weeks? Thanks so much

Pleasantly surprised to have received my 2 bags of PGF Complete today instead of the ETA they gave me when I ordered of July 10th. But these few days the temps have been in the 90's. HOT! no shade nor irrigation system. Bunch of hoses. Is it safe to put this down now? like today?
When can I put down need grass seeds?
I put down pre emergent about 3 weeks ago. I have pgf to put down in a week or so. I also have super juice I plan on put down in a few weeks. Just wondering when is a good time to seed some bare spots. I installed landscape lighting and have filled in trenches I need to grow grass on.

I am curious what fertilizer works best for a lawn 80% K-31 Fescue and a smaller area 20% zoysia grass. I like fertilizer with phosphate. 9I'm old fashioned.) please give me your recommendations on what fert. to use on each, and when to fert. each grass type in the two different areas, and when to over seed each area. Will PGF work for me. Phosphate or no phosphate year around. St. Louis, MO. "SHOW ME"

When you say "Restored" the entire lawn what do you mean? Do i have to dig up the old lawn and re seed it then put all this stuff on it or can put down this stuff as soon as my order comes in? I have a mix of bermuda and st augustine ( Austin Tx) wish I could send a picture...

Is PGF good for starter lawns
Hey Doc.....been been watching you since 2019 I have been working in my yard since then everything that you said has been turned out to be true you've got to get rid of the weeds this is my second year and now I don't have a yard Full Of Weeds I just have Bermuda centipede Dallisgrass and carpet grass. No crabgrass at all. Please confirm with me that it is okay that I have not put down my pre-emergent because we're having 40 days of rain. I am going to put down prodiamine and image all-in-one herbicide. Money is too tight and I am using my compost tea and fpg for my soil. Will probe prodiamine ever be sold as a pre-mixed liquid that you can use with a hose end sprayer?
Do you advise putting this down on zoysia empire down here in North West Florida?

Hey Doc! As we enter the fall renovation time, I plan to do some rather extensive leveling/aeration/overseed. Is PGF a good "Starter Fert" after I seed with the addition of a tenacity blanket app? Or should I use a different starter fert and forego using until we come out of dormancy next spring? (in SE Michigan). THANKS!
Only use a "starter" when soil test done and showing need for different ratio. Mild 4-1-2 is still the best choice. Many have high PHOS and it can lock up nutrients.

Get the right amount of product in your spreader . Then just keep making passes until all the material is gone .

I currently have a lawn service for my fertilization and pre/post emergent. I just had a fertilizer treatment. How long do I need to wait to apply the PGF and super juice? I would like to try to do this myself in the future. You’re videos have been very helpful.
If they SPRAY.... tell them to stop for 2 months. Wait 2-3 weeks and apply.

Hey Doc! I have Bermuda grass and just did a 2-gallon mix of Prodiamine 65 WDG, Quinclorac75 DF, Surfactant and blue dye. I had an infestation of " CRABGRASS". So I spot sprayed all the crabgrass I found. Knowing I went with a higher percentage of quinclorac as to the Quinclorac; 4.85% I could have bought, but I really wanted to get rid of the crabgrass quickly. What would be the best product to put next to help those areas from the stress of those chemicals "SUPER JUICE" OR "The Andersons Organic Humic DG Granular Soil Conditioner" which one would you apply first?? Love your videos! Keep posting them.
LOTS of water on the spots right now. Then maybe some PGF hand applied to them.

Hey Doc, love your videos. Super informative. I purchased the super juice and applied once already on yesterday. Looks like my grass is greening up within one/two days. My question if I order the PGF Complete, when would you suggest I apply it since I’ve already used super juice. Also, are these safe for Kentucky Bluegrass?
PGF is used every 3-4 weeks if you have Bermuda . Super juice is about the same. But PGF is the main thing that will improve your lawn.
