I got Humichar and I love it, I can't wait for the Humichar to get into the root zone. When I dig on a spot to get a soil sample I put some humichar in that area to help it get to the root zone sooner.
I'm so glad you used supersod's leveling mix. I've been eyeing this for a while. And will use them for a leveling and seeding project. Just wasn't sure of the quality and size until your video.
Had that done last year. It was a ton of work to get that on the grass. This year, I hired a company to do the entire leveling project. I’m getting too old for this.
does the sand/leveling mix look go away after time? I like the idea of leveling, but hate the white patchy look I see on your lawn in the videos, so wondering if it goes away?
My yard is red clay and rock and has a grade to it. when I had a nursery bring in “top soil” 6 dump truck loads” it was smoothed out planted with fescue and rye grass. Over the years all the sand has wash down hill leaving me with a rocky red clay yard. Any ideas?
Hey Doc, just found your channel. GREAT content and you explain what and why you are doing something very well. 👍👍 I have two questions for you. We are in Anchorage Alaska for zone reference. 1. I have a sink hole in the lawn that is 8-10’ in diameter and is at points 8” deep. The construction contractor obviously buried something there during construction. The area has been stable for more than 10 years so I looking for a permanent fix. Should I use the leveling mix to fill in and tamp down then dress with topsoil and reseed or do you have another suggestion? 2. What seed mix would you recommend for our zone?
Doc I have some questions I would really appreciate your help. I think I have Bermuda I’m just not sure if it’s hybrid or common. It’s growing really thick and full in shaded areas. I thought Bermuda needed good amount of sun. That’s why I’m not 100% sure what I have. I water on Tuesdays and Thursdays with an irrigation system. I have been using the PGF Complete and I love it. But it’s not working in some dead spots in my lawn. I would really appreciate your help. I really enjoy watching your content. I have learned a lot from your advice and I have implemented a lot of your suggestions. They work!
A doc question for you I live in the northeast not really sure what kind of grass I have. My question for you because I do not have a lot of time is to have my local gravel pit mix up a yard of top soil and a yard of sand I hope I'm not stating the obvious but I just want to make sure that Will work for me.
Hey Doc, the Mushroom Compost from Lowes looks pretty clean this year, I am going to try to level some spots with it. Should I worry about fungus in the product, or just try it and see what happens?
I watched your other video where you used a different leveler bought from Lowe’s (one with tins on one side). Would you recommend one over the other (compare to the one used in this video)? Tks.
Great video, I do have a question, If your doing spot or low places in the yard. How do you know how much leveling mix do you need if you're not doing the whole yard? Thanks
Doc - long time watcher 1st time tried :) I did a top dressing on back yard to try if I could do it. I like how it turned out but the stuff delivered I did not notice all the super small pebbles until I started to level, which are not on the top! Will this be a problem for my Bermuda? If so what are my options?
Why use terminology people would not know? And for anyone else out there who is not an expert gardener I googled it (but only because the cc typed it) HumiChar is an organic, carbon-based soil amendment containing 50% high-quality humic acid and 50% granulated biochar.
I don’t know why but I so trust this dude. word.

Thumbs up for sure Doc. Cheers from Ottawa Canada.
Wishing I was done with my legal pad of honey do list to start my leveling. One more week hopefully. Thanks for the help Doc.

This information is right on time! Many thanks!
Play sand and potting soil mix. Great idea Doc! Thank you! I figure this should work with TTTF and KBG too.
Doc, what is the recommend screen size for topsoil?
Deffenetly go look at it if you can. Last year what I ordered was full of peanut hulls.
I don’t see a link in the description for the leveling mix? I’d like to know because I’m close to you and can probably have it delivered. Thanks!
We need a "Doc Discount Code" on that sand/soil mix. That stuff isn't cheap!!
What are some good ways to manage and treat mole crickets in Bermuda. I’m having a pretty large infestation happening in both my front and back yards
Thank you 🙏🏻 ♥️you have such a beautiful lawn .🙏🏻
Keep em 💯👌coming doc!

Should I plant my runners and throw the mix on top for better results?
Thanks for the info doc.
Like the hats...
Thanks again for the info Doc. When will the Juice be back in stock?

What brand leveling rake do you recommend? Looking for one at work.
Will this work with tall fescue? I see folks for and against sand.
What is the difference between Humichar and Biochar?
Humichar is a 50-50 mix of Biochar and Humic acids. the Biochar product is just biochar with no humic acids
I’m not sure if you talked about peat moss. Is that also ok to use?

We planted sod a few weeks ago, but it's not perfectly level. How soon can we start leveling since sod is only a 3 weeks old

🤔Any issues with that mix washing away after rain storms?🤔
That's the problem I had because my yard is sloped, so I will have to sod my bare spots.
Can I now add “dirt booster plus” within the mix or on the mix with the fertilizer?
Hey Doc,
I have a gal of super juice from last season , do you recommend using it or tossing it?
Do you have a link to the leveling rake?
I like this chap!
Is he a real doc? Warehouse in what business? / intriguing 🧐
Handles himself very well

Ok, where’d you get the wild floral hat? That is killer cool. I’m thinking I might just need one.
It would be interesting for you to do a video talking about your business, I didn’t know you had a warehouse.

They use mushroom compost all the time for seeding cold season grass, should be fine for warm season too.
Doc, which McLane mower are you using to cut your green and at what height?
DUMB question, but does the grass grow back into what you just leveled.?
He's got bermuda which is extremely hard to kill
I wonder how it'd work with palmeto grass (St. Augustine).?

Nice to see you using the Super Sod products, awesome sod, Tif tough is great stuff. I think the leveling soil is free delivery where I live.
when to use leveling mix and when to use topsoil?
Is the name of the soil product Soil3? They are not in Texas. Will need to find an alternative or just use the potting soil and sand method.
is your website only available in the US
Can I use 100% mushroom soil as a leveling top dressing?
This technique work w/ fescue?
Wish i would have seen this yesterday
I wish my lawn was the size of my bathroom this 1acre is getting expensive lol
where are you located? We live in Canada.
do I have to be careful with sand not to create different layers of organic material then sand then organic material then sand etc...?
Hey Doc, what is "humachar (spelling)"?
How to level bumps on a grade?
50 lbs of play sand to 50 lbs of pitting soil? Or 1x 50lbs sand bag and 1x bag of potting soil?
Great video, I do have a question, If your doing spot or low places in the yard. How do you know how much leveling mix do you need if you're not doing the whole yard? Thanks

why sand is needed?
wild bermuda grows in most beaches in Florida
your gonna end up with too much sand in the yard
