I am really upset with RUclips's algorithm, that I have just now discovered this channel. but I am glad here now. I am a Georgian and and is good to see another brotha in the lawn game.
I'm glad that you're here now Nicholas. A recent stat I heard is that somewhere between 300 - 400 hours of content is uploaded to RUclips every minute. That's a ton of content to distribute based on what people's preferences are. I'm just happy that the channel is starting to get some traction. I really enjoy working on my lawn and sharing the little I know to help others out. Always fun to hear from fellow Georgians! 😎👍
I now use Kelp4less products (humic acids, kelp, amino acids & fulvic acid); used NeXT products the last 2 seasons. I still use/like the NeXT Green Effect liquid Iron.
It sounds like there lot's of options out there if you're willing to apply a couple different products Methodical. There seem to be quite a few people that really like the NeXT products. Thanks for sharing your product mix, 👍🌿😎
Sure thing Chips N' Guac. Recently I've been hearing a ton about carbon soil amendments that are supposed to offer tons of benefits with no downside. My local Site One recommended it as stack on top of what I'm already doing as part as my lawn care program. I'm excited to see the results. It's designed to be the icing on top of what I'm already doing. 😎👍
Thanks for sharing Cory. How often did you apply the Turf Academy? Was it a one and done type deal or were there multiple applications throughout the season?
@@RonHenry I applied carbon x on Apr 4. I used different products on rotation. Put down PGR comlmete mid May. Then an assortment of the Next products in between those applications. So Carbon x, PGR Complete, Ringer Lawn Restore, Next products mixed in. Great results.
Sounds like you have a good plan and program Cory. With everything you're applying along with regular mowing, I'm sure your lawn looks amazing. Nice work.
Again binging your content. Where are you located? It seems your more southern than i am. And where i am the grasses you seem to be taking care of are what we generally want out of the lawn.
Thanks for keeping me honest Chad. I need to show the right way to do things because there are probably some viewers that are doing exactly what I'm doing. Need to make sure it's right. Thanks for helping me make better content. I'm looking forward to seeing how the product works. So far the results are promising! 😎👍
Very informative video Ron. I heard about the granular version of this product through a local lawn care service. They wanted way too much to apply it so I picked it up at my local Site One (they didn't have the liquid form yet. Putting it down this weekend so I am excited to see the results (applied a Spring round of fertilizer and lime last week). From all that I have heard and researched it is an exceptional soil amendment.
Very nice Michael. Definitely let me know how it ends up doing on your turf. I think there's a lot of value in these kinds of products. Assuming you're doing everything else right, they should be a great supplement. I don't think it would replace fertilization or your other horticultural practices. Icing on the cake.
@@RonHenry I agree. Definitely shouldn't replace the fertilizer component of a lawn program. As the literature mentioned its meant to enhance fertilization and other macro/micronutrients
Hey Ron, just happen to come across one of your videos and man, I’m impressed with the contents and the look of your yard.....it’s awesome. I’m in the Wilmington NC area and I have Bermuda, but need a lot of help getting rid of crabgrass and Bahia to hopefully getting my yard looking decent. We’ve had a ton of rain this winter so far and I can’t wait to get back in the yard and start prepping for the spring. But first, I need to get the pre-emergent out to control the weeds and crabgrass once we get some 50+ degree weather. I will be tuning in to you for tips along the way. Thanks my brother!
Heya Virgil. Glad you discovered the content. You're definitely on the right track as far as getting pre-emergent out soon. Once soil temps are at 50 degrees, you want to get it applied. I actually published a video yesterday detailing the entire process if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/p1sazlEXAXc/видео.html Getting that down will go a long way towards keeping weeds in check once temps start getting higher. Thanks for the kind words. Appreciate you watching the content. Let me know if I can help with anything.
You can get yours the lanesteele. Just takes effort and time. Top dressing and using the right mower makes a huge difference. I talk about products a lot on this channel, but really consistent mowing is what produces 80% of the result.
Nice video and lawn. You might need to consider purchasing and using a soil application tip like the Teejet TTI or AI Teejet. The drift in your appilcation was too high and for best results on soil applications you want large droplets that hit the soil fast with little or no drift. The tip you were using works best for foliar applications.
Thanks for the tips Stephen. I'll look into a different application tip. Another viewer is trying to talk me into one of those Lesco rigs what put down a super even pattern. I'm still researching options though. Thanks for the tip man. Much appreciated. 👍😎
I think this is great alternative to Green County N-Ext RGS soil amendment. Both contain Humic and Kelp. Try adding the Carbon Pro G in addition to Carbon Pro L. You won't regret it!
I've been toying with the idea of putting some Carbon Pro G down Kevin. Might have to make a trip down to my local Site One. Those trips end up being so expensive though. 😂👍
That's a cool product. I think this Lesco product compares better to Green County Fert's RGS product than it does to Carbon Earth Company's Carbon X since Carbon X is an NPK Fertilizer and RGS is a Humic/Fulvic/Sea Kelp amendment. Maybe you can do a Lesco Carbon Pro L vs Green County Fert RGS comparison???
Thanks 👍I don't know that I'd envy me. I spend waaaaaaaaaay to much time in the lawn. It's like the other woman in my life. Just as expensive as having a girlfriend but at least no complaining! 😂
Glad you like them John. Thanks so much for letting me know. I'm a big fan of Site One too. They carry the good stuff. Thanks again for watching the content. Let me know if I can help answer anything.
S Flynn, This product would be perfect for a new lawn that you're trying to get established. According to my local Site One rep. it helps fresh sod take root faster which closes up seams and prevents brown spots in the turf due to dying spots.
Ron...this is some great research and you might have stumbled into a great product. I currently use the GCF line of liquids as amendments and complimentary apps to my granular products. I may have to go visit my site-one and see for myself hehe.
Definitely Frankie. I'm not saying that it's the end all-be-all of soil amendment products. It's a new option that I came across that appears to have some good merit to it. Mirimichi Green is very well respected in the industry so I don't think they'd put out a product that doesn't perform. If you goto Site One, make sure you take a wing man with you. That place is a serious candy store for lawn care geeks. 😂👍
Hey Ron, I’m thinking about adding Carbon Pro L to my lawn care rotation. For applying it - is this best best applied foliarly with the TeeJet XR or applied to soil with the flood jet? Thanks!
Hi Alexander, Unless you've already purchased it, I would be use this instead of CarbonPro-L. More benefits and costs less. It's a foliar application. No need to water in. golfcourselawn.store/products/golf-course-lawn-carbon-kit
Ron another great video! I’m a SiteOne employee and also a big plant lawn geek. Thanks for explaining this product, if you need an more information I’m happy to reach out to our product team. We are hearing fantastic feedback on this product.
Great to hear Chad. I have no doubt that the product will do well. If there's any more information you can share that talks even more about how CarbonPro is different, I'd be interested in hearing that info. My email is ron@ron-henry.com Thanks for making a great product. Looking forward to hearing from you! 😎👍
I reside in Northern Virginia, with a TTTF lawn. Regarding the Carbon Pro; I initially tried the “granular” version. I purchased two bags for my lawn, but only used one because it was NOT easy to spread using my spreader. I have a Lesco spreader, and set it it to 30. It still took me to jerk, bang, kick, etc to help the product out of the hopper. I was able to return the unused bag and I purchased the liquid gallon size. So far I have made two applications since April of this season. I will give it a try, even though it will take a while to yield results.
@@teamclarktrackfield I think you'll like the results with the liquid version. I've never tried the granular. The liquid is very easy to apply and has the benefit of being absorbed more quickly than the granular would be. Let me know how it works out for you. 😎
Similar to Greenecounty Fertilizer products I use. Only way to truly find out if it’s hype is to test it. I know for sure GCF N-ext products work.. Curious to see your results.
Heya Connor. Yep! Testing is the only way to know for sure. So far the results are looking pretty good. The lawn has really nice color to it and I didn't experience any yellowing when applying T-NEX this year. This is the first time not had yellowing with T-Nex
Right on BermudLawnNC. Picking up a full sprayer off the ground can be pretty brutal. It's not the weight so much as the fact that it's very awkward to handle. Putting it on a higher surface and slipping into it works pretty well for me. Glad that you found the tip useful. Appreciate you watching the content.👍
Ron, I just went to SiteOne and applied the Granular version today. Harder to broadcast (not as dry) compared to Milo, but overall not bad. I'm excited to see the results. Local rep at my store who I've been dealing with for years had a lot of positive comments about this product as well. He normally calls a spade a spade. I hope to see some growth in between the rows of bermuda laid down..just a few small ruts in the back yard. Thanks again for the review. Perhaps you post a follow up video in a few weeks or month?
Glad that you decided to try out the product S Flynn. I can definitely do an update a few weeks from now but in case you're interested, here's an update 8 days following the product application. The video will be released publicly in a week and change but since you asked. 😎👍 ruclips.net/video/D7ARcVPFqXE/видео.html Enjoy!
Ron Henry thanks! I’ll check it out. With COVID19, I’ve had a lot of downtime to get into yard work. I foresee a reel mower in my future lol. I am starting to research PRG’s now.
For the granular, how often should this be applied? The 14 14 14 is good for 3-4 months. I’m trying to get as much bio nutrients into my soil as I can. ( within reason of course) I picked this up at site1 also after a soil analysis. Super stoked to find a carbonX or Humichar Alternative that’s locally sourced. My lawn usually gets heat stressed but now I’m becoming the Jones’s in the neighborhood with a super green lawn even in almost august now. Was almost 100 today in mass w the heat index. Have a couple stressed out areas but it’s def doing very well!
Hi Bayer. It depends on your goals really. I fertilize monthly but I don’t apply at full rate each time and I use PGR to control top growth. If you’re not applying PGR, I wouldn’t apply much more frequently than every 2 months. You’ll be hating life with how much mowing you’ll have to do otherwise. 🙏🤓
Hi Ron, I picked up the carbon proL mobile Tuesday. I’m going to apply it Thursday when I get home. After application do I water it in and how long. Also, I put down milo last Saturday... can I put down 25-0-5 Mesa this weekend. Will it interact with the milo? Thanks again!!!
Hi Teen Sonic. I don't water it in because of the iron it contains. I let it dry on the grass and then water the following day or just wait for rain. The Mesa fert releases a bit faster than Milo so you should be fine. Without knowing what's currently in your soil, it's tough to say definitively. That said, I have personally applied Proscape and Milo within a week of each other with no negative effects. If you need to get a soil test done, I like the offering by MySoil. I recent did a video on the process here: ruclips.net/video/Pmw04hOB_rs/видео.html Can get your soil test here: www.mysoiltesting.com/shop?aff=11 Let me know if I can help with anything else. 👍😎
Heya Chris. I believe the distributor for Carbon Pro L is Site One. You can see if there's one local to you or alternatively can order online. I've already confirmed with them that they'll ship Carbon Pro as long as there's no restrictions in your state.
I’ve just used the Carbon Pro G versión of this earlier this week before the torrential rain...probably washed off a portion of it. I am seeing results though.
Ron Henry well I also applied Ironite and Liquid lawn food (urea based). Grass is growing much faster now than it was before w these products. Weaker spots are growing.
Very cool David. It sounds like you're on your way man! Try to mow as consistently as possible. That will make the biggest difference in how your turf looks. 👍😎
Hi Robert. Yep. I should work great on a centipede grass lawn. It's not just for Bermuda. Really it's improving soil health so it doesn't really matter what kind of grass you're working with. Carbon Pro L primarily targets the soil.
I didn't know that Steve. It makes sense though. Georgia does a lot in the agronomics industry so no surprised that N-ext and other cutting edge soil technology companies are based here. Be sure to let me know how the N-ext works for you. 😎👍
N-ext is a product of Greene County Fertilizer .... Greene County GA... John Perry/Lawncology/N-ext DIY. It’s a product many of the RUclips lawncare world use I am seeing great results with the N-ext so far.
This looks like a great supplement to your NPK program, and a little goes a long way. But, I'm not sure it would/could replace CarbonX since CX is primarily a macro nutrient based fertilizer with a carbon source and peptides. I'm curios to see your results after a few applications of the Pro-L, great video!
That a great point Bush League lawns. It's probably a tad unfair to compare it directly to Carbon X but for me the product should be better since it allows me the get the benefits of carbon-based soil amendments *without* having to add additional NPK to lawn. I've got plenty of ways to add the macronutrients to the turf so being able to isolate just the carbon and other micronutrients is really attractive.
Eudes. You can a Spectracide application to help knock it back too. Spurge is very difficult to get rid of permanently. If you want to go hardcore, you can use a blend of dismiss and Speedzone but that will discolor the grass.
Hey Ron, dumb question, but I have to ask....does this work on St. Augustine well? I see everyone on here has Bermuda for the most part. Just curious for us folks here in the Deep South!
Hi Juan. Yep! Absolutely it will work with St. Augustine as well. Carbon Pro L improves the soil health so it doesn't really matter which turf grass you're dealing with. It will help all of them. Better soil equals a better plant. Not a dumb question. Let me know if I can help with anything else. 😎👍
@@RonHenry - What Granular would you recommend I use with CarbonPro - L which would be used monthly. I like some on this post is using N-ext products as a monthly supplement to PGF Complete. This combination is doing a good job reviving the lawn, but I'm always will to try something different. So what Granular would work best with "L" Thanks...
Hi Playmate Inmiami. You can get the Carbon Pro L at Site One. I believe they're the exclusive distributor for the product. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Curious to see your results for this. If I did the math correctly, I could use it for over 2 years at the suggested rate. I wonder how it would affect the lawn with heavier applications?
Akhmedov. I'm not sure that you'd see a lot more benefit. There's probably only so much change you can make in the turf at any time. The recommendation is to start with 2 ounces per 1k and then 1 ounce per 1k for each month following. I'll be shooting an update video here soon. 👍😎
Hi Spidey. Give SiteOne Landscape Supply a call: (770) 831-9232. I confirmed with them that they can ship the product. The guy you'll most likely speak with is named Mike. Let him know Ron sent you please. 👍😎 Let me know if I can help with anything else.
They're completely different products. Tenacity is a herbicide for cool season grass. Speedzone and T-Zone are also herbicides. CarbonPro-L is a biostimulant.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how it works out Cedymac. So far the results have been promising. It better be for as much as this stuff costs. Had to sell a kidney! 😂👍
Haha. You will be getting sponsored soon if you keep constantly dropping vids like this 4k+ subscribers now 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I gotta new product I'm spraying Sunday DEPTH Mtf. Check it out on carbonearth.com
Maybe Cedymac. I'm just enjoying the process man. As long as people get some benefits out the content, that's the most important thing. :-) I'll give the DEPTH Mtf a look. A lot of people are talking about products from Carbon Earth. 👍😎
If you haven't already, you should check out Natures Lawn. They have a lot of great products and fair prices. Great customer service as well. They're very responsive to any questions and help with applications rates. As far as soil amendments- I bought a 5 lb. bag of soluble humic acid from Amazon and made a 12%% solution that I keep on hand in the garage. I also bought a gallon of sea kelp extract. I apply the humic and kelp once a month. I will say this, the humic acid is too thick of a solution to spray with a backpack sprayer. It'll clog it for sure. House end sprayer is the way to go. I cant say the humic and kelp has been the major factor but my lawn looks AMAZING. I wish I could post a pic on here.
Great advice Alan. The CarbonPro contains about 5% sea kelp extract and it seems to go through the sprayer ok. Perhaps that's why the product is a bit more on the expensive side; that it can be applied via a backpack sprayer. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the results are with the product. It should be a nice supplement on top of everything I"m already doing. I'll have to give Nature's Lawn products a look. Thanks for the tip.
The kelp isn’t the issue. That stuff mixes easily and can be applied with a backpack sprayer. It’s the humic acid that’s tough to spray. That’s probably why their product only contains 5% humates. I guess my point was; you could by the stuff separately and mix on your own and save a ton of money and really dial in your application amounts. When buying the premixed stuff, you’re paying for a bunch of water and the time they took to mix the product. I personally don’t mind making it myself and it’s quite easy. The 5 lb. bag will probably last me 3 seasons. Also, from what I’ve read, humates are meant as a soli applied products, meant to be watered into the soli after application. Kelp and the liquid fert are foliar absorbed products most effective when applied to the leaf blades. By mixing the humates (soil applied) and kelp/fert (foliar applied) it seems counterproductive. That’s just my understanding at least. I could be wrong. I’m interested to monitor your progress.
Thanks for the update Alan. I didn't water this in when I applied it. I applied it to dry turf and let it dry on the leaf blades like you're saying. The results so far have been very promising. This is an unreleased video showing the lawn 4 days after applying the product. I plan to do an update dedicated to Carbon Pro probably a week or so from now, but you can see how the lawn looks after applying it if you're interested. ruclips.net/video/iCdJJsadOA4/видео.html
Yes absolutely. Putting it down monthly along with your fertilizer application is a great idea. Remember that the monthly application rate is 1 ounce per 1000 square feet after the initial application. You put down 2 ounces per 1000 to start and then 1 ounce per 1000 in each following month. Let me know if I can help with anything else. 😎👍
🌞 Yes, great product. I used the Mirimichi Green CaronizPN in my verti-mulching video. Would like to give this one a try, too. Great video, Ron! Are you only doing the 1,000 sq ft to see if you see a difference or did you spray the whole yard?🌞
Ron Henry I continue to see good results from both , the pro G had some issues early on as we had a hard time running it thru the spreader initial thought was prill size but after talking to MG the first batch was wet during manufacturing, pro L is really a great product I’ve seen my fungicide and fertilization intake improve tremendously using both products, not 100 % sure but after this years aeration its seems our cores are a little better ...ie not as much compaction
Hi Albert. I don't believe the granular version contains the levels of kelp extract that the liquid does. It also isn't absorbed as quickly. Although they share similar names, the products are slightly different as far as makeup. 😎
Fescue Freddy. That's right. This is used on top of everything you're already doing. It doesn't replace fertilization or other products on your lawn. It's basically an organic soil conditioner which help stimulate root growth to produce more resilient turf. It's targeted at professionals in the lawn care industry which is why it's so concentrated. 2.5 gallons treats 320,000 square feet.
Yep. And kelp extract to help improve the soil condition. It's definitely an additive to the products you're already applying to perhaps give that extra edge. The fact that it doesn't add a ton of NPK is nice since you I already get plenty of that through the other stuff I add to the lawn. We'll see. 😎
Hi tsyriac. I don't believe CarbonPro-L has mycorrhiza in. CarbonPro-G is a better option for that. It's a granular though. For a liquid supplement that directly helps improve microbial activity in the soil, check out ByoSpxtrym: golfcourselawn.store/products/byospxtrum%E2%84%A2-free-shipping Appreciate you watching.
Yep. Very similar Fred. It contains some iron too so you get a nice green up without pushing growth like you do with products that contain higher levels of nitrogen.
Hi Fred. I do as I get closer to the end of the mowing season. Right now I'm running the mower a lot so the fuel works through it pretty quickly. When September rolls around, I'l switch to non-ethanol gas to avoid problems with water absorption as the mower is stored over winter months. If it's easy for you to find, you can run non-ethnanol gas year round.
@@RonHenry thank you sir.. i watch your videos from time to time and you reply.. as of this moment glad to hit the subscribe button. keep up the good work👍
Hey Ron, hook me up with a couple of ounces brother! Great vdo asusual .....oh the pgr apparently was done correctly because I am experiencing slower growth and greener turf. Thanks again.
We might be able to work something out Robert. I definitely have more than I'll probably be able to reasonably use.Glad to hear the PGR is working well. It's pretty amazing stuff. 😎👍
How would I get it to you? I'd want to confirm that it works well before having people apply it to their lawns. Don't want to mess up anyone's lawn. :-)
Sure thing Kirk. The best product I've found for taking care of brown spot while also getting rid of grub worms and fire ants is called Caravan G. It's a combination fungicide and insecticide from Syngenta. Can get it on Amazon here: amzn.to/3hdcd0X It's a bit on the expensive side, but ever since switching to it, I've had zero issues with brown spot, grub worms and fire ants in my lawn. It works incredibly well. I talk about it in more detail in my video on grub worms here: ruclips.net/video/KElbUOSHTkE/видео.html
Hi TA. They're fairly different products. I don't believe the granular includes chelated iron, kelp extract and other microbials helpful towards improving soil health. They both contain humic acids and other ingredients to improve soil health but the Carbon Pro L contains more ingredients making it a more complete product. 👍
Ron Henry I’m going to see if the site one has the Carbon Pro L. I have the Humi Char from Anderson’s which is 84.00 40lb. This carbon l seems like there’s more to it and cheaper.
@@WethepeopleFreedom76 Nice man. I think you'll be pretty happy with the Carbon Pro L. Let me know once you get it in and are able to apply. The stuff smells like the ocean.
Surprised you don’t use a product like humichar. Comes in granular so it’s way easier to spread and I would argue the biochar/humichar acid combo would be even better for the lawn
Russell. I just haven't gotten to it as yet. 😎Will do some research to see what the benefits could be from humichar. The carbon pro does contain humic acid, so very well might be splitting hairs at this point.
Heya J Walker. I live in Georgia. Bermuda goes dormant in cold weather. My lawn turns brown between November and March. It definitely is a warm season grass. While it might not die you'd be dealing with a brown lawn for a lot of the year. Any idea kind of grass the golf courses in PA use?
Ron Henry northern courses are typically Creeping Bentgrass greens, Kentucky Blue or Perrenial Rye fairways, tees, and rough. You may find tall fescue in the roughs as well.
Ron Henry Honestly I haven’t thought about that, but now that you’ve mentioned it I going to find out. Kentucky blue and rye fescue is the typical grass mixture in my area.
I'm thinking that's because the granular likely takes more time to break down than the liquid. According to Lesco, this should be applied monthly. I'll follow their procedures and see what kind of results I get from it. I'm pretty optimistic. :-)

Hi Samuel. Are you referring to the measuring cup? I got it form my local supplier at Central Turf and Irrigation. I'm not sure that you can them on Amazon. I looked on Amazon but didn't see anything exactly like it.amzn.to/2Uei2BB Let me know if I can help with anything else. 👍
Hi Asafegous. It's pretty expensive at just over $300 for 2.5 gallons. That said, 2.5 gallons will cover 320,000 square feet so if you have friends that are also interested in applying the product to their lawns, you could split it to get the costs down. Even if you divided it 4 ways, you'd have enough product to cover most lawns for a few years.
Hi Edwin. You can get it from Site One in Buford Georgia. Their phone number is: (770) 831-9232. Let them know Ron sent you. 😎👍I confirmed with them that they can ship the product as long as there are no restrictions in your state. Let me know how it works out for you.
I've been getting that comment pretty often Rich. Agree that RGS is a better product comparison. I'll have to try some out. Perhaps do one section of the lawn with RGS and another with Carbon Pro L.
@@RonHenry no iron in RGS so I'm assuming the visual results would be better on the Lesco product. To be fair a lot of folks use a cocktail of more than one Nxt product like RGS and Microgreen. I'd be curious to see the results maybe I'll go get some CarbonL product and to a comparison.
Hi _Maze_ I did the entire lawn. I just didn't film it. The video would have been really long and not sure that you guys wanted to watch me apply the product everywhere. 👍😎
Just over $300 for a 2.5 gallons. That treats 320,000 square feet though so if you split it up with friends you've got plenty for several years depending on the size of your lawn.
From what I can tell this isn’t a fertilizer. No stated NPK. Lesco’s website specifically says to apply this with fertilizer. I think the comparison to carbonx is not accurate.
I agree it's not a direct comparison Tim. But because the product contains carbon, I look at it as an alternative for getting carbon and other nutrients like humic acid and kelp extract without pushing a ton of growth in your lawn. So in the scenario of someone like me who already has a set of fertilizers that I like, it's nice to be able to apply a product that truly is just a micronutrient. No additional NPK in appreciable amounts like you said. I should have been more clear in the video. 👍
I agree with Tim and some of the others that implying this is better than CX DIY is unfair. CX is targeted to the DIY “easy” market. Folks looking for one brand/bag to buy. Macros/micros/carbon in one application, easy to understand and budget. If you want to separate the soil action from the plant nutrients, then the Lesco products or Carbon Earth Co’s liquid “Pro” product line make a lot of sense. Beautiful lawn (Bermuda?)!
@@GoFastGator Fair point Brian. CarbonPro is definitely more of a niche/isolated product that Carbon X which is more of an all in one like you say. Part of why asked the question of if it's better in the thumbnail is depending on how you use carbon products in your lawn, it very well may be better since you're getting the benefits of carbon and the other micronutrients without having to add NPK in the process. I guess a more accurate description could be to refer to it as an alternative like I did in the actual video title? The lawn is Bermuda. Tif419 as the base grass type that's been overseeded with Arden 15 and Princess 77. Thanks for pointing out the differences between CX and CarbonPro. They really are targeted at different markets like you say.
Different ways to get a good result 5IVE points. I really like the results I get with the products I'm using from Mirimichi Green. golfcourselawn.store/products/golf-course-lawn-carbon-kit Appreciate you watching.
It’s veeerrry concentrated. This stuff stinks to high heaven. Smells like the ocean. Mind you it’s 2 ounces per 1k to start and then 1ounce per 1k after. A little goes a long way.

Glad to see you're trying an alternative product to what's out there. Its refreshing to see something different, looking forward to the results 💪🏾💯
@@RonHenry Just remember that improving the soil is a marathon and not a sprint...no matter what Site One says.
Lawns looking good Ron! Ty for putting the time in and sharing all the information!
You are very welcome Woodworker. I appreciate that you guys watch the content. Gives me motivation to continue producing it. 😎
I'm using carbon x from GCI Turf Academy. Worked great last year on my Bermuda lawn in Augusta Ga.
Nice work.
I really enjoy your videos something about your voice is easy to listen to. Thanks a million
Glad to hear that I’m not too annoying Miles! :-) Hopefully the content is adding some value. Let me know if I can help with anything. 😎👍
Subbed. Nice yard. Looks like a good neighborhood. Virginia here.
Thanks Marcus! Appreciate the support.
Again binging your content. Where are you located? It seems your more southern than i am. And where i am the grasses you seem to be taking care of are what we generally want out of the lawn.
Hi Tyler. I'm in the Gainesville area. Northeast GA.
Ron, thanks for the shout out. I try to put my back pack sprayer on the same way when I can. Interesting product indeed. Another well done video.
Yep Michael. I like that there's no NPK in it because I get plenty of that through my other products.
I was just looking at this product at siteone and couldn't figure out how it differed etc. Thanks for doing the research for me haha.
You are so welcome Alex. That's my job right? Make it easier for you guys to spend more money on your lawns. I'm the public guinea pig. 😂👍
Glad to see this Chanel , how many gallons of water used for two oz.
1 gallon per oz. but even better, go with this: golfcourselawn.store/products/golf-course-lawn-carbon-kit
I want my lawn to look like yours. Good job my man. It looks 10/10. I know your neighbors are jelly
You can get yours the lanesteele. Just takes effort and time. Top dressing and using the right mower makes a huge difference. I talk about products a lot on this channel, but really consistent mowing is what produces 80% of the result.
Ron Henry i told my wife i want to get a reel mower. She said “we have a real mower right there” as she pointed to my riding mower
Hahahha. Just keep working on her. She'll come around. 😎
Your lawn is beautiful
Thanks so much Peter. I really appreciate it.
Great post Ron
Thanks Gary!
I was thinking that the drift was pretty high and with other products could damage the landscaping elements potentially.
Excellent tutorial!!!
Great video! Looking forward to the results.
Thanks Jason. I'll keep you guys posted for sure.
That's a good idea David. I'll have to pick up some Green County RGS and do a head to head comparison. Thanks for the tip. 👍😎
I have serious lawn envy Ron! Nice work! Thanks for the vids!
Thanks 👍I don't know that I'd envy me. I spend waaaaaaaaaay to much time in the lawn. It's like the other woman in my life. Just as expensive as having a girlfriend but at least no complaining! 😂
Love your videos.. big fan of Site One
Glad you like them John. Thanks so much for letting me know. I'm a big fan of Site One too. They carry the good stuff. Thanks again for watching the content. Let me know if I can help answer anything.
I have a new bermuda lawn (just under 6 months old). I'm tempted to go to our local site one and try out some of this as well!
S Flynn, This product would be perfect for a new lawn that you're trying to get established. According to my local Site One rep. it helps fresh sod take root faster which closes up seams and prevents brown spots in the turf due to dying spots.
Ron Henry that’s what I was reading as well. Thanks for the quick reply! I enjoy the channel and subscribed. Cheers from Alabama!👍
Thanks for subscribing S Flynn! Much appreciated. Let me know if you decide to try it out.😎👍
Ron...this is some great research and you might have stumbled into a great product.
Ron Henry haha...I know what you mean,,,every time I go I seem to bring back. Ton of stuff I had no intention to get hehehe
Yessir! :-) It's like going to Target or Costco. State law requires you to show a receipt totaling at least $100 at the door. 😂
@@RonHenry Haven't bought anything yet, just exploring all the options right now. Thanks for the info Ron, much appreciated.
Sounds good

Ron Henry just sent a couple slides on CarbonPro hope this is helpful!
@ Ron Henry. Will do. Also, I’m glad I ran across your channel. You were the first I saw that spoke on the Carbon Pro L.
It’s looking good, Ron! This is going to really make it pop.
I'm thinking so Andrew. Should put the turf over the top is what I'm hoping for. I'm already doing pretty much everything else.👍
Glad to have found you!
I really appreciate it Alex!
Peace Ron, would this be good when a DIYer is doing a renovation on their lawn? I plan to burn my lawn (Poa) and start all over this fall (Labor Day)
Similar to Greenecounty Fertilizer products I use.
Thanks for sharing this product, very cool. Gotta mention the back saving backpack trick.. I always grit my teeth and lift it off the ground! 😝
Good Video Ron! Do you recall what nozzle you used for this application? Floodjet?
I don't Chef. I'd go with the foliar tip.
@@RonHenry Thanks Ron!
Anytime
Nice nice S Flynn. PGRs are pretty awesome. Once you start using them, you'll wonder how you lived without 'em! 👍😎
Great video, do you have a update on this video?; Thanks

Ron yet again another great informative video, just curious as to where to get these Carbon pro products?
Awesome David. Most of it probably stayed on your turf. What kind of results are you seeing?
Ron Henry well I also applied Ironite and Liquid lawn food (urea based). Grass is growing much faster now than it was before w these products. Weaker spots are growing.
Very cool David. It sounds like you're on your way man! Try to mow as consistently as possible. That will make the biggest difference in how your turf looks. 👍😎
Do you recommend this for centipede grass in Louisiana? Gets hot in late June with minimal rain, throughout the summer.
Hi Robert. Yep. I should work great on a centipede grass lawn. It's not just for Bermuda. Really it's improving soil health so it doesn't really matter what kind of grass you're working with. Carbon Pro L primarily targets the soil.
Good solid video. Today is spray day for me.... will be applying N-ext products. You know they are from close to your neck of the woods... 😁😇
It’s a product many of the RUclips lawncare world use
I am seeing great results with the N-ext so far.
Awesome Steve. Glad its working well for you.
@@RonHenry awesome video Ron! I'm new to your channel and your now one of my favorites! what else do you use for macronutrients besides milorganite?
I went to my local Site One today and picked up CarbonPro L. After application, how long should I let it sit before I water it in? Thanks.
I'd let it dry on the leaves Lou. So if you apply in the morning, no water until the afternoon.
Thank you for all the useful info. Love your stuff! Hey, where can the carbon X Lesco Pro product be purchased?
Hi Playmate Inmiami. You can get the Carbon Pro L at Site One. I believe they're the exclusive distributor for the product. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
@@RonHenry thank you! and your lawn looks amazing :) Blessings for you and your family. Stay safe!
Thanks playmate in Miami! 😎
Hi and great video with great info. Question how can I get my hands on this product. I tried looking it up and couldn't find it on line or on AMAZON.

Ordered some x green
Nice man. You'll have to let me know how it works out for you. When are you planning on putting it down?
So whats better the tenacity, speed zone, Tzone or this lesco stuff
They're completely different products. Tenacity is a herbicide for cool season grass. Speedzone and T-Zone are also herbicides. CarbonPro-L is a biostimulant.
Awesome vid bro. I've used that mirimichi green before its the truth

Hi Goingruby. I'm in Georgia. Appreciate the kind words. Whereabouts are you?
Central Iowa
Hi Ron. Can I add the carbon pro l with my Milo application Monthly
I did the entire yard. In retrospect doing only 1000sq ft would have been a better test right? 😂
I use CX and RGS and Humic 12 Can I add this into the program?
Sure can Matthew. No issue with incorporating CarbonPro L as well.
Lots of microbial goodness going on there
Yes indeed! I’m really excited about the product. Do you use something similar?
Ron Henry I’ve been using carbon pro L and carbon pro G for a little over a year now
What do you think about it BTH?
Ron Henry I continue to see good results from both , the pro G had some issues early on as we had a hard time running it thru the spreader initial thought was prill size but after talking to MG the first batch was wet during manufacturing, pro L is really a great product I’ve seen my fungicide and fertilization intake improve tremendously using both products, not 100 % sure but after this years aeration its seems our cores are a little better ...ie not as much compaction
I haven’t scrolled through the comments so maybe this has already been asked but why didn’t you try the granular version of this product?
Hi Albert. I don't believe the granular version contains the levels of kelp extract that the liquid does. It also isn't absorbed as quickly. Although they share similar names, the products are slightly different as far as makeup. 😎
So this is a liquid based carbon product used to as a assistant to a normal grass feeding program?
Fescue Freddy. That's right. This is used on top of everything you're already doing. It doesn't replace fertilization or other products on your lawn. It's basically an organic soil conditioner which help stimulate root growth to produce more resilient turf. It's targeted at professionals in the lawn care industry which is why it's so concentrated. 2.5 gallons treats 320,000 square feet.
@@RonHenry so it's like Greene County Fertilizer's RGS but with carbon to help retain more of the nutrient value we are putting out?
Yep. And kelp extract to help improve the soil condition. It's definitely an additive to the products you're already applying to perhaps give that extra edge. The fact that it doesn't add a ton of NPK is nice since you I already get plenty of that through the other stuff I add to the lawn. We'll see. 😎
Does it have myco in it ?
Hi tsyriac. I don't believe CarbonPro-L has mycorrhiza in. CarbonPro-G is a better option for that. It's a granular though. For a liquid supplement that directly helps improve microbial activity in the soil, check out ByoSpxtrym: golfcourselawn.store/products/byospxtrum%E2%84%A2-free-shipping Appreciate you watching.
so thats like humic 12 and fulvic acid ?rgs. root growth stimulator?
Yep. Very similar Fred. It contains some iron too so you get a nice green up without pushing growth like you do with products that contain higher levels of nitrogen.
@ Fred S; I would compare the Carbon Pro L to the N-ext Product RGS
ron question? you may have said this in one of your vidz. your tru cut. do you use Non ethanol fuel only?

Any advice a product to control Brown Patch?

Is the granular carbon pro the same formula?
Probably because the humichar is wayyyyy more expensive. The dude that pushes it must get a huge kickback from Anderson’s......imo.
Great lawn! What state do you live in? I live in PA and I know bermuda wouldn’t survive these winters.
Gotcha. 😎
J Walker you can get KBG looking really amazing. I’m not sure about overseeding it with Bermuda though.
Every time I hear your music I start rapping "Move B!tch , get out the way get out the way" by Ludacris....LOL
LOL. I'm not sure if that's a good thing? Do I need a change up in the music? 😬👍
@@RonHenry nah I like it, makes me dance a lil 😁
Very cool! 😂👍
Also, I was told that the granular version should be applied quarterly. Spring, Summer, Fall.
I'm thinking that's because the granular likely takes more time to break down than the liquid. According to Lesco, this should be applied monthly. I'll follow their procedures and see what kind of results I get from it. I'm pretty optimistic. :-)
Where can I find CarbonPro L.? I have called all places here
Hi Charlene. You can get Carbon Pro L at Site One. They're the exclusive distributors for it I believe. www.siteone.com/en/510894-2.5-lesco-carbonpro-l-mobilex-liquid-biostimulant-qgcy-2-12-g/p/626428 - (770) 831-9232
Ok Ron, I notice as I called around I was inquiring about product s. Here are all I called and no one seem to carry. I found caravan G at Amazon. Could not find carbon Pro L nor products below. Please advise. I am in northern Florida where it rain now eceryday😂😂😂

Ron Henry thank you so much
No problem Charlene!
Link to where we can buy that quinclorac 75DF jug/flask?
Hi Samuel. Are you referring to the measuring cup? I got it form my local supplier at Central Turf and Irrigation. I'm not sure that you can them on Amazon. Your best bet is going to find a local turf care products supplier and visit them. They often have them as freebies if you're buying a product there. I looked on Amazon but didn't see anything exactly like it.amzn.to/2Uei2BB Let me know if I can help with anything else. 👍
@@RonHenry okay thanks for your videos, they are really informative
Very welcome Samuel. Glad you find them useful! 👍😎
Is there a way for me to ask you a direct question
Sure. You can ask here or jump on the live stream on Friday nights
Whats the cost of 2.5 gallons?
Hi Asafegous. It's pretty expensive at just over $300 for 2.5 gallons. That said, 2.5 gallons will cover 320,000 square feet so if you have friends that are also interested in applying the product to their lawns, you could split it to get the costs down. Even if you divided it 4 ways, you'd have enough product to cover most lawns for a few years.
Wear I ken get the product thank you
Hi Edwin. You can get it from Site One in Buford Georgia. Their phone number is: (770) 831-9232. Let them know Ron sent you. 😎👍I confirmed with them that they can ship the product as long as there are no restrictions in your state. Let me know how it works out for you.
This seems more like a comparison to RGS from green county fertilizer.
What about he rest of the lawn?!
Hi _Maze_ I did the entire lawn. I just didn't film it. The video would have been really long and not sure that you guys wanted to watch me apply the product everywhere. 👍😎
Price?
Just over $300 for a 2.5 gallons. That treats 320,000 square feet though so if you split it up with friends you've got plenty for several years depending on the size of your lawn.
Thanks!
$330?
Hi Mr M5. There are much more economical options here: golfcourselawn.store/products/golf-course-lawn-carbon-kit
Be a lot cheaper to buy a gallon jug of Humic Acid & Sea Kelp individually
Different ways to get a good result 5IVE points. I really like the results I get with the products I'm using from Mirimichi Green. golfcourselawn.store/products/golf-course-lawn-carbon-kit Appreciate you watching.
It seems too low of an application rate to do anything.
It’s veeerrry concentrated. This stuff stinks to high heaven. Smells like the ocean. Mind you it’s 2 ounces per 1k to start and then 1ounce per 1k after. A little goes a long way.
That’s way more than a 1000 sq ft
Thanks for watching HEGREATOZ112978
