Thanks Jonathan! Alex did all the hard work. It was a fun series to film last year. Really wanted to show what was possible in just a few months with concentrated effort. Thanks for watching. Appreciate the support. 👍😎
Looking so green! So healthy looking! This is the first season I've actually been proud of my lawn, I patched in some spots with a sun shade mix over kentucky blue, so it looks a bit funky, but it's certainly green. I live in eastern washington so my zone is way different. I think I may have to find some bermuda that will grow well here.
Hahaha. Thanks so much Caleb. I really appreciate the support sir. Thank so much for watching. If you have Kentucky Bluegrass, you can get that looking great. It can be mowed fairly low too. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
@@RonHenry that's great to know, my summers get dry and hot, like 110+ at times, but the winters here can drop to sub freezing. I think I made a mistake putting down annual ryegrass. Think I might over seed with kentucky and hope it pops through the ryegrass. I'll keep watching your videos to see what I can learn.
@@RonHenry Looking forward to the next videos! I've said it before, but thanks for your hard work and dedication. One of my favorite channels I subscribe to :)
You won't regret the CarbonPro L Princess Cut Lawn Care. It's amazing stuff. I really like the song which is why I use it for b-roll footage. Kind of edgy without being too hardcore. 😎👍
Thanks AdVanced Lawn & Garden LLC Nate. I try to keep it as concise as possible without any unnecessary fluff. I figure that people value their time, so I need to get to the point. 😎
Yeah man. I saw myself sweating in the video. Just keeping it real Nates! What you see is what you get in this content. Not trying to sugar coat the process. Thanks for the support. I really appreciate you watching the content.
@@RonHenry ya bro. Been Subscribed! Keeping it real was what we like to see. Hard work payed off for sure. Been busy on my own lawn taking alot of your info and applying it to my own lawn and it's helpful. Thanks for all u do🤘

Thanks so much Ned G. That means a ton to me. Really glad you guys are enjoying the fix my ugly lawn series. Hopefully it's a reasonably easy blueprint for people to follow. Appreciate the support! 👍😎
If a true cut mower is a little out of the budget... do you have a second recommendation? I’ve seen some silent cut reel mowers when I look up the true cut, for a smaller lawn (approximately 600 sq ft) would this work?
Heya. Outside of a Tru Cut, the only reel mowers I've manual reel mowers I've used are a Scotts's 16 and 20" reel mower. Those can work great for a smaller lawn and produce good results.
Very welcome Andrew. Doing my best to get you guys answers as soon as I can. Thanks for watching the content. I really appreciate it. The 16" and 20" options are on this page: amzn.to/399r6xY Let me know if I can help with anything else.
@@RonHenry There are a bunch on the market. I have used Turf Mark, Blazon and an old Lesco product that I have forgotten the name of. BTW, most are water soluble and won’t permanently stain hard scrape. Just read product reviews and select one that sounds the best.
@@richardgleason5953 sounds good man. Thanks for the quick response. My big concern was with them turning the lawn some funky color. Like you said, I just need to look at the reviews and pick one. For applying herbicides, I can see where it makes a ton of sense to avoid over-applying in a given area. 👍
Hi Ron, You are really committed and killing it this season. thank you for all the uploads. They continue to be helpful. I wrote to you a while back about seed heads. LOTS of them. You mentioned plant growth regulator and I never followed through. I will look to go that route but I have to admit that I finally determined what my real problem is and that is a DULL blade on my Tru cut C25. How frequently should I sharpen my blades and do you have any videos on doing it myself. The one quote I have off for $200.
Heya Queron. Are you in the Atlanta area? You should be able to get the reel sharpened for a bit less than that. $200 is what I pay for a full service including reel sharpening. The place I use for service is Keystone Rental in Duluth, GA. Really if you're only cutting grass, you should be able to go an entire season without having to sharpen the reel again. I just top dressed my lawn so it's likely that I'm going to have to sharpen the reel on my Tru Cut this season again. Likely next month in August. Thanks for the kind words about the channel. I'm trying to step my game up with producing helpful content for people wanting to improve their lawns. I really appreciate you watching the channel. Thanks for the support. 😎👍
Where would you recommended someone get a mower like this? I am using a rotary and though about getting a manual push mower, but another side of me wants to go big next season and get one like this.
Hi Twin Cities. If you're going the new route, then a Howard Brothers or any other Tru Cut dealer should be able to take care of you. If you're going pre-owned, you can usually find Tru Cut reel mowers on Facebook market place or Craigslist. A reel mower is easily one of the BEST investments you can make in a quality lawn. Mowing is the most important thing to get right after creating healthy soil using testing. If you'd like to see a review I did on it check this out: ruclips.net/video/rY2d4SJFscE/видео.html If you REALLY wanna geek out, this summer I compared the Tru Cut against a Toro Greensmaster which is another type of reel mower. Enjoy: ruclips.net/video/4hBZotPSlxI/видео.html
Love the transformation! Great job, both of y'all! I do wish you would splice in clips from the previous videos so we can see before and afters as y'all go along!
Nice Ron, question for you... have you ever thought about applying the Carbonpro L through a hose end sprayer? I’m thinking of doing on my next application in a few weeks...
Heya Tom K. No I haven’t. I’m not sure how accurate I could get the application doing that. I suppose if you have your hose sprayer calibrated you could pull it off. This stuff is very concentrated though. Do you have a buddy with a backpack sprayer you can borrow? If you use a hose, let me know how it works out. 👍😎
Definitely Roger. I'm a big fan of the method used. I think it's call vibratory trenching. It really doesn't do that much damage to then turf. It's a great process.
Yes Darnell. It doesn't require a special type of Bermuda. You can achieve a golf course lawn with any of them. The main areas for Bermuda type comes into play is when you're applying certain chemicals like plant growth regulator (PGR) and if you're overseeding because of color match.

Additionally, if you get some on concrete and want to neutralize it quickly, a 10% bleach / water solution should do the job.
