I think Wizzair is quite OK for short-haul flights in Europe. And their fares are really competitive in comparison to legacy carriers. But spending 5 hours aboard Wizzair doesn't sound very appealing. Actually, I am surprised to see there is such high demand for their flights to Saudi Arabia.

What's so bad about Pegasus? Doubt you'll like Wizz Air better.
In fact, the difference between the two is that Wizz air is maybe a tad cheaper, but they also don't include cabin bag (only handbag) in the ticket and getting extra luggage costs a lot $$$.

I've flown with Wizz Air a couple of times before between northern Norway and Gdansk (which is about a 3 hour flight) and always tell myself "You get what you pay for" as with anything in this world, I don't get a cheap flight and expect a 5 star service or experience, but I can honestly say that I have nothing to complain about. It's pretty much as flying any other SAS or Norwegian flight as well except the I find both the food and prices for food and or snacks to be better on Wizz Air compared to those other 2 airlines.
Also never had any issues with anything flying them, no delays yet and just friendly crew so I'll gladly fly them again and I'd much rather fly with them than SAS for example even if it means a detour.
(I've had to fly with Wizz to get home to southern Sweden from northern Norway during Christmas once as SAS had pushed up their prices to be around the double as a flight to Gdansk, I could then stay the night at a hotel in the old town of Gdansk, catch the ferry from Gdynia to Sweden the day after and even have a dinner buffet on the ferry (could even opt for the second most expensive cabin on the ferry if I wanted) and it was still cheaper than the SAS flight from northern Norway to Sweden via 2 stopovers)

I recently flew from Abu Dhabi to the Maldives onboard a Wizzair A321neo, which was 5 hours and a bit. Also a very new one. Only 2 years old. It was my first flight with the airline and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Not that I expected it to be bad, because I usually like flying Ryanair on their European routes, but you never know with these low cost carriers.
I don’t mind checking in online, and when I’m not having any checked baggage I actually prefer it and just walk straight to the gate.
My last flight with Ryanair was from Aarhus, Denmark to Gdansk in Poland. They started boarding before the plane had even arrived and everyone flocked to the gate, which I found quite funny. After 10 minutes or so the plane arrived. Right when the passangers got off the plane they made final call, and a few minutes later we were airborne. Some probably dislike it. I like that they aren’t hanging about. I paid 46 euros including checked baggage and seat selection.
The seats on the Wizzair flight was acceptable. I’m 186 cm tall and it wasn’t that bad. Not super comfortable, but not awful. However, on all AirAsia flights I’ve been on, my knees have been dying. Can’t recommend!
I don’t care much for onboard WiFi, never works well anyways. And the lack of entertainment system is of course not a problem on the short flights, and for longer flights I just download some movies on my phone or laptop and watch that.
I love when the seats don’t recline, because that means I won’t get crushed by the person in front of me. For 20 years I didn’t even know how the reclining worked so I’ve never used it anyways.
In my opinion, no legacy carrier offering compares to that of Ryanair and other low cost airlines. Only if I was so rich, that money didn’t matter to me would I fly on legacy carriers instead.
Also, if you somehow made it this far you probably know something about planes. On my flight from Abu Dhabi to the Maldives we flew straight east for sometime, and when we reached India we turned south towards the Maldives. This seems odd to me, and I wasn’t able to figure out why that is the chosen route.

You get what you pay for, for 2 hours flight I don't complain because the average flight price I pay is 25-30 Euros. If you are not overweight or too tall the seats are just fine. People are complaining too much and are expecting first class experience when their prices are cheaper than train prices in western Europe. How do those low cost airlines do with crew at longer flights? Like the mentioned Warsaw to the Canary Islands with six hours to and six hours back from the destination makes it a 12 hour flight, not including the ground time - that's longer than a trans-Atlantic long-haul flight.

@@Holland1994D 46.22. Seatguru gives measurements in inches. Multiply inches by 2.54. That means that A220 seats are about 3 centimeters wider. I think 787s also have 17" wide seats. I don't fly all that frequently so the extra 3 centimeters doesn't impact me very much. Being tall, 1.93, the legroom is a bigger concern. An aisle seat is much preferable on a long flight. I usually don't recline my seat so Ryan Air's non reclining seats also don't concern me.

I flew the Venice to Jeddah route return a few weeks ago and much of the same experience, for the price it was a no brainer, what I can say though is that my partner and I also had the pasta carbonara, and while we're used to instant meals and cheap artificial food, that pasta was the most disgusting thing we had ever tasted! You must have a stomach of steel, but flying with easyjet and wizz air from Manchester to Jeddah cost us about £300 each when the Saudia direct flight for the same dates was £1000+ each, I'd defininitely prefer the cheaper option a put up with a few hours of discomfort.
