I’m really shocked this guy even visited Pennsylvania. You are one dedicated man!
Indeed 😅😂
Dangerous place to go... the Amish can be unpredictable
I’ve been to many places in the world but Pennsylvania, my man is dedicated to
Lotta loudmouths in Philadelphia
He gets bonus points when arriving during an eagle's super bowl. Hell on the streets regardless wether they win or lose.
Afghanistan is a really beautiful country, I myself have been there twice after the takeover of the Taliban.
I met some really cool and friendly people there.
Thanks David. i spit out my morning coffee 15 sec into this vid. North Korea, Somalia, Pennsylvania!
Dear GOD! Pennsylvania?! The balls on this guy.
Pennsylvania same as North korea, always been like that.
If it is Detroit, then it is comparable to North Korea or Somalia.
@@aungmyintoo4635 Detroit is worse.
I'm from Afghanistan, but I was born and raised in New Zealand. Even though I've never been to Afghanistan, the clip from 14:23 to 15:16 is stunning. It's such a beautiful country. I'm extremely saddened by what's currently happening in Afghanistan.
sim!!
It's a drab, underdeveloped, poor, oppressive region. I'm sure the nature can be beautiful, but every man-made structure oozes "get the hell away from here".
@@null_geodesicthanks to 🇺🇸
In Sha Allah both of us get to visit our beautiful homeland one day ❤
so, maybe your parents are from afghanistan but your self is from new zealand but is of afghan heritage
11:40 What a BUTTER LANDING! :D
That’s called professionalism
Ikr
Flew Kam Air RT from DXB to KBL in Oct. '23 on a pair of their A340's as well as a couple of internal flights. The crews, including some women bursars, were always extremely kind and professional.
The 'business class' on the A340 isn't 2-2-2 but a very odd 2-4-2 economy layout; the middle section collapses down to a 2-3-2 in the first row (I was in 3A). Even more bizarre is that the bulkhead and bathroom exterior wallpaper wrap is shots of ... Bora Bora, Tahiti (who says that flying isn't aspirational?🙃)
You probably got on YA-KAA, a former Air Tahiti Nui example. That would explain the wallpaper wrap I guess.
@@l4zr_boyYes, 1 A340 old Air Tahiti Nui plane
@@l4zr_boy
"Should we maybe take down the Tahiti photos?"
"Nah, let's leave it up and wait for someone to ask where in Afghanistan it is, then we can all point and laugh at him."
"Good idea, boss!"
I'm surprised women were still allowed to work on that flight or in Afghanistan in general! Unfortunately due to the Taliban :/
I'm proud of my country. Proud of our hospitable, generous people. Afghanistan might be a poor country, but our people are kind, generous, hospitable. Another thing that makes me proud of my people is how clean they are. When it comes to hygiene, we take it very seriously.
Salaam from Indonesia. Being clean is a part of Imaan. 🙂👍
This airline gives a great priority to safety, i work as a technician and had worked on this flight, they don't try cost cutting like other aircrafts mainly on the wheels and brakes
Which other Airlines would you recommend and what airlines would you not recommend?
Never heard of this airline before. This is why I love Simply Aviation. Along with the famous airlines, they also do rare and unheard airlines.
I was a pilot at Kam Air for over 2.5 years. I can confidently say that Kam Air is a well-organized airline with professional management. They strictly adhere to maintenance routines and ensure that their fleet is airworthy. Both cabin and flight crew undergo professional training to maintain high standards of safety. Thank you for the positive review, which not only shows the world but also our fellow Afghans that flying with Kam Air is 100% safe.
Who do you fly with now?
Great video! I flew with Kam Air last year, and was upgraded to Business Class on the return flight. The single plane that has Business was ex Air Tahiti Nui, and still featured a wallpaper with tropical beaches… Good airline, much better than what I had expected.
How was Afghanistan after Taliban 🤔?
Some interesting stuff to be see on landing and taxiing in: Mi-8 helicopters, Antonov An-24s and 26s, C-130s, and a couple of sad looking 727s
I don't think there are any c-130s left in Afghanistan. Besides, there are Blackhawks, many UN planes, C208s, Quest Kodiak 100s, old Ariana A310s and A300B4, and 1 A320-200 of the bankrupt Safi Airways.
Super tucano
Very interesting to see rare airline’s reviewed. Thank you for another good video❤
This is interesting, I rode that exact plane (former RP-C3436) from Manila to Auckland and the cabin there looks way better than I expected with the newer seats they installed. I waited for this trip report since I saw the A340 in a preview of another video of yours and I am surprised Kam Air is actually a pretty good airline given their situation. Thank you for the continuous aviation content!
Nice flying with Kam Air's remaining A340!
Nice video! "We don't have time to worry about safety right now as it's time to board the flight!"
Loved the video. It was very nice to see the review of Kam Air. I know it isn’t your channel’s mission, but I honestly would have loved to know more about what your time on the ground in Kabul was like.
I am half Afghan half Pakistani.
I have never been to Afghanistan but it seems to be such a beautiful country.
And what an amazing airline !
What an eye opening video! Thanks for the efforts❤
NOT PENNSYLVANIA
Fodd
It could be worse. It could be New Jersey.
@@M3T2W01fmaybe one day i will even get the bravery to got to Ohio
Awesome 👍
Those hyper exotic routes are extra fun to watch 😊
Good 1, Thanks for Showing Afghanistan in a POSITIVE Way....!
Got to admit,I never even knew flights to Afghanistan were even a thing.Having said that,I'd happily fly that route just because it's a 343 and I've only flown the 346.Great review David as you always do.
If you wanna fly a A343, then rather take a Lufthansa Group flight, probably safer...
It's been awhile since I've clicked on a video so fast...life had to wait
Not all heroes wear capes @Pennsylvania
Afghan people are very hospitable and the best host
Finally another video!! Hopefully this is the first of many to come this year!
Great report as usual!
However, special thanks for showing a bit of the country at the end ❤
You can see at 6:36 that the signs above are still in spanish. It says "life vest is below your seat". It should be the same as to when the plane was flying with Iberia.
Well done! I always enjoy your videos and this one was no exception. I look forward to your videos to come.
Simply Aviation is the only RUclips channel that has quality reviews of different airlines ❤
Josh cahill too
@@GAMER_-yu8mzjupp he is indeed also brutally honest sometimes :D
So true. Now all i need is to find a way to stop confusing this channel with another, simple flying...😂😅😅😊
Yeah and then just stop posting anything for a month out of nowhere
Noel Phillips does good reviews also. @SaicharanRajesh
The A340-300 is the Honda Accord of the skies. Easily will fly another 25!
*knocks on the engine cowling*. This baby has only had two previous owners and can fit so many crazy travellers inside 😂❤
The large number of CFM56es around sure will help keep them flying!
Thanks your for the great video! And what a smooth landing! In Afghanistan we would call this butter landing: "beshak“
Nice to see this aircraft still in service.. I took this aircraft back in 2010 with Philppine Airlines from MNL to YVR..
This is certainly one of the rarest airline reviews on RUclips! And once you leave Afghanistan, could you review Ariana Afghan’s Airbus 310?
Love from Australia! 🇦🇺
Yes
i admire your bravery and spirit of adventure in visiting pensilvania
That landing was amazing
Absolutely loved and agree with the epilogue. Thank You
Kicking off 2024 with one of my favorite aircraft. Thanks!
Also I'm praying you to review Starlux, Air Premia, Etihad Residence in 2023, Condor and JetBlue. I'm so ready for everything you guys have in 2024
A NEW VIDEO! I have been waiting for so long :)
Fantastic aviation review
I am a frequent traveller and the way this journey is reviewed is great
Just months hes finally back
Pennsylvania had always been in the middle of a violent warzone I'm shocked that y'all went there
Nice video! Really surprised with Kam Air's service! Altough their aircraft are quite oudated, they are pretty well mantained. It made me remember of Safi Airways. Too bad that they aren't fliyng anymore. During its best year, Safi Airways got clearance to fly to the EU (Germany) and North America (Canada). Another thing, that since 2021, when the former goverment was ousted by the Taliban, I was wondering about the visa and immigration procedures, as the Afghan embassies are not controlled by them. Once again, congrats for the video! Keep up the good work!
Finally a new video😍 wow flight to Afghanistan, You really have to have courage and love this world (aviation) to do it, I respect you, these are rare videos that make you really special, thank you bro!!
what courage,,, there are plenty of tourists visiting the country. nobody been abducted, killed, looted or raped.. so chill
Flew with Kamair quite a bit when working in Afghanistan. Never had a bad experience and the crew were always polite and professional.
I’ve been subscribed to your channel for a long time! The privilege of flying is a great one!
Man the team at Simply Aviation is dedicated for us!!! You guys are awesome!
Thank you for the video. Interesting and diferent flight, Airline, city, country and aircraft. Good work.
Honestly, I'm impressed wit cleanliness of the aircraft and the meal option onboard Kam Air. Well done to them, you can clearly see they try their very best. 😍
I really love how you objectively rates Kam Air with best consideration to its current eco-socio-political aspects of Afghanistan. Some may say that the airline services is bare minimun, but those bare minimums for most of Afghani people are in fact a luxury. Thanks for the review btw
Proud of our Airline (Kam Air). Thank you for the honest review!
Aside from your coverage of airlines and your dedication to it, as an Afghan I loved your remarks on the government and the privilege of a westerners perspective.
Nowadays there are a lot of youtubers who travel there and proudly name their videos “traveling to the most dangerous country in the world” ignoring how the local population and minorities suffer under the current regime. They supposedly try to portray the regime from “non mainstream” perspective. Thanks man! 🫡
Stunning video David, many thanks!
Bravo Felix! It's great to see you going where others won't.
(I have been watching you long enough to recognize your hand)
Amazing content, you always provide the information I want to know!
Fantastic video man!
Wow!! A full review on an Afghan airline!! Not something you see a lot. Great video!
You are possibly one of the first aviation and travel bloggers who actually acknowledge their privilege! I cannot thank you enough for setting such a great example for everyone and to openly acknowledge that you have the privilege of your ancestry and where you live that allows you the access to travel and share with the world what you are experiencing.
Hi! I really enjoy your videos and id love to see you fly on air cairo and review it!
Your safety isn't guaranteed 2:10 🤣🤣🤣
239 airlines covered on one channel is actually staggering. incredible work! this was a respectful, thoughtful and well-informed video. thanks.
Was waiting for this one from Simply Aviation!
Vids are so entertaining and interesting, I'm a huge fan! :D already can't wait for the next vid
This is why i luv simply aviation
the Pennsylvania shade lmfaooo
Thank you for showing us this awesome and wonderful vídeo. I enjoyed it very much.
How long did you stay in Kabul? What airline did you fly out of Kabul?
Happy thing here is a340 is used by very few airlines and yes KAM air uses so happy for it
And happy to see a340
Great flight. Another new destination/country in this channel and another new airline. I hope you also try the state owned one to another new country who haven't visited yet.
Good to hear your generous comments about Kam Air
Gotta be honest, Afghanistan looks really beautiful and their aviation also is quite interesting.
Thanks for this enjoyable trip report!
So beautiful. Also the women underneath the burqa, or at least those who arent killed for listening to music
@@brianhansen2202 🤦♂️
I really appreciate your courage, I also travel often and visit unusual countries, but Afghanistan is a place that particularly worries me these days, it is even level more than Iran for me... Incredible! Best regards and many thanks for this video!
stop following the FOX news and the western capitalistic media.. Both Afghanistan and Iran are more safer than Chicago.
I've flown out of Kabul on Ariana, a 2nd hand Boeing 727 ex Pan Am
Amazing video.
Many thanks.
Cooles Video! Vielen Dank für den super content! 😊👍
I found this channel after 5 years this is soo nostalgic
A well-maintained cabin from an unexpected airline
Subsequent to this trip, if you travelled to the U.S., did you get SSSS on your boarding pass?
I travelled on KAM Air in 2008 regularly from Dubai...they were the best of a bad bunch
Absolutely fantastic video David! (Also, loved the PA comment lol)
Absolute go-to channel for trip reports! And this one's just exceptional!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice video I hope in future I' ll do videos like you
Apart from the missing IFE the flight looked more comfortable than on many legacy airlines.
Great job! Beautiful and educational - so to speak! Keep at it!
Thank you
i have flewn in this airline like 6 times and they are actually quite good.
Try Sharp Airlines, a regional airline from Victoria, Australia, and their base is in Launceston, Tasmania. They operate Swearingen Metroliners, and area very nice small airline to use.
I understand Frontier and Spirit will be flying to Kabul from Atlanta and Denver.
using the A320-200UXLR
Great video guys!
Istanbul airport is truly stunning. Love it.
I love your videos. How many days you spent in Kabul?
I hope you just did a in-terminal turnaround to catch your connecting flight.
You obviously didn't watch until the end.
the foreign embassies might be controlled by remnants of the old afghan government but i suppose whatever authority/immigration officers that actually welcomed you at Kabul airport was on behalf of the Taliban government right?… Do they just accept the fact that people pay for visas at the old government or do they kind of request their own fees upon entering the country?
Wow, great video who would’ve guessed
It is interesting to see this airlines that no one talks about, but no IFE on an A340
You are getting a flight. Done. Like in the 90s.
Cebu Pacific doesn’t have entertainment on their brand new A330 NEOs either. Not that rare.
The interior is very similar to Iberia with the seats being update which I kind of wish PAL had updated their Airbus A340-300 with the same seats at less they would have been more comfortable looking.
Did u fesr for your life when arrived in kabul
We don’t have time to worry about safety now! 😂 Since the video is out i guess it ended up ok
Can u guys do air NZ pls??? I'm in Wellington and it'd be cool to meet one of my fav youtubers in person😄😄
Great one🎉👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊
