    Truly a great video. The Aircrew very knowledgeable, calm, and extremely professional. A super smooth landing and taxi to the gate. I enjoy the night time take offs and landings much more than day time. It reminds me of my time in the US Armed Forces and flying to and from duty stations all over the world. Ah, the good old days. Thank you JP. You guys are the best.

    I just want to congratulate with the crew which to me was perfect in phraseology in and out of the cockpit. Very standard in briefings and callouts they sounded perfect (I flew the A320 so I can tell). I will use this video as an example for some young colleagues about how you should behave and sound in any glass cockpit environment. Congrats guys better than any JP video I saw in the last years!!! By the way I don’t know them they are not friends and the company is not generally my favorite but this two guys are exactly on the edge!!!

    I am bit confused.
    During the briefing the FMS shows "Take off RWY 12" but the departure clearance and take off is from RWY 30 😶

    • @VirtualPilotOfficial
      @VirtualPilotOfficial 2 года назад +3

      They were expecting rwy 12 but maybe atc told them to switch to 30

    • @MaliBaco
      @MaliBaco 2 года назад +2

      Runway 12 is the preferred runway in Belgrade, so with a slight tail wind it is likely that the ATC would still utilize 12. The reason behind it is noise reduction, as approaches to runway 30 fly over highly populated areas. It is possible that the wind has changed so that it's not possible to use 12 and therefore the ATC changed the active runway to 30.
      Pushback was done for runway 30 (facing east) so it's very possible that the crew was re-cleared for this runway even before they started pushback, but it's not shown in this video.

    It might be a silly question, bud i did see that the GPWS Flaps 3 config was on and there were no callouts when the pilot set the flaps to 3. Is that supposed to happen or something else inhibited the callouts?

    • @kallek5655
      @kallek5655 2 года назад

      GPWS Flaps 3 inhibits the "Too Low Flaps" warning for flap 3 landings, as by default that warning will sound if you try to land with flaps less than full. There is no extra callout when setting flaps 3.

    • @sean1388
      @sean1388 5 месяцев назад

      In the beginning there was a placard above the standby attitude indicator that said cat III single only. Having an ils with both autopilots engaged would be considered as a cat III dual if I’m not mistaken. Not sure why it’s not available though that’s just what I saw.

    • @devansh8846

      That was a long runway and it provides greater tail clearance on flare. A321 is a long aircraft, much more prone to tail strike.

    • @nikobelic4251
      @nikobelic4251 8 месяцев назад

      It may be SOPs but maybe they expect a higher workload or maybe it was the added fact that there were cameras on the flight deck and the AP would help them fly and make less mistakes
      Idk. As long as they are flying safe and keep their manual flying skills, I don’t think it matters whether they fly using the autopilot or manually.
