4 minutes in and that printer is already better then my much more expensive printer.
I bought this printer a couple of years ago, it was my first 3DP and it just seemed like a good deal. I've used it to learn and educate myself on 3D printing. It's taking a little bit of tweaking here and there, but it works great.
Anycubic just revolutionary. Cheap and insane result.
This is the review I’ve been waiting on 😈 it’s lit. Love my two i3 Megas
Set Cura or whatever slicer you use to print the walls BEFORE the infill, should entirely solve the infill showing on the outside of the print without having to use extra plastic/time with a 4th wall.
Nice review bro. Glad u used my music in ur videos. 😍💥
Never never never go with a Spatula on an Ultrabase. Only wait, if the Bed is under 30 Degrees it pops easy off the bed. With the Spatula you destroy the bed really fast. (Maybe you pin this, you showed your audience the wrong way) (Sorry for my english)
I have been using a spatula with the ultrabase for a long time and have never had issues? The artillery machines ship with it and they are my work horses.
@@ModBotArmy I hope i can describe it: There are 2 things: 1.)Sometimes the microtexture on the Glass will stuck at the underside of the print and your Ultrabase is gone if its too warm and you dont wait and peel it of with a spatula. 2.)Everytime you use the spatula you will remove a little bit of the texture. Its not much, you need a microscope to see that, but it happens. And someday it will be too smooth and you will get adhesion problems. Nice Greets
Mine scrapes the plate. I never use the spatula anymore either. The prints always pop of easily after cooled.
I got goosebumps when I saw that spatula on the Ultrabase. Although Ultrabase is a really good bed, mine came bent so at the moment, the printer sits on a corner getting dust. I shall also point out that it is a very crappy machine. If I could turn back time I would NEVER buy again an Anycubic Mega X. Avoid it especially if you're a beginner.
@@locked01 Love mine and after only having the Mega S for a month, I'm giving it to my stepson and getting the Mega X this Tuesday.
Nice, I've been thinking of trying the metallic rainbow filament, looks like you need quite a few layers to get the benefit of the effect. I wish they'd make more mini rainbow spools where the colour changes are quicker at shorter lengths
i know im randomly asking but does anyone know a method to log back into an instagram account..?
I somehow lost my login password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Ulises Ricky Instablaster =)
@Dillon Rory thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you for your review, I look a lot of review and you are one of the rare people that try something else than the two little owl 🦉🦉
Awesome I am happy to hear you liked the review.
Do you still recommend this printer or is there a better one with comparable printspace?
Nice review. A friend of mine recently bought this printer. So I wondered what you have to say about it.
Thanks Cat :) ❤️
Hey Modbot, great review, really good looking printer, thanks for the video.
does this support resume printing?
for a beginner, what would you recommend, the anycubic mega, flsun q5, or the voxelab aquila diy? i have zero knowledge and have been watching several youtubers, yourself included, for tips and ideas
I just ordered this printer! SO EXCITED
How is the printer holding up after all this time lad??? Just got one recently and it's been a slow process getting the setting just right for bigger projects.
@@briangonzalez6744 I had the printer for 13 months now and I got so many problems. I don't know if I'm just that unlucky but it got so many problem for me
I prefer 24V systems thou
Thanks for sharing :-)
New to 3d printing was wondering if I could manage files and designs with new ipad ?
I have a question about the Mega X........is it "normal" for the printer to place its print files NOT in the bed center BUT on the left rear of the bed? If I slice in CURA, will the opened file be placed on the bed so it does NOT overhang the bed??? My old Makerbot was quite a bit different in terms of the interface as well as printer software......
It should place it where you place it on the slicer. The only time I’ve had a similar issue to what you described is when I forgot to change the printer type on the slicer. So make sure you are using the correct slicer settings for the Mega X. Hope that helps.
You mention upgrading the stepper drivers. Have you done this and do you have a video on it? just got my mega x on your review and love it. but it is very noisy.
Interested in this as well.
Just take tmc2208 e swap woth the older One! So Easy!
Watching your video, it DOES appear that your models are placed in the approx. center of the bed. My new Mega X seems to always place projects off to the left rear which is odd. waiting for Anycubic to respond to my questions. Also take care with the owl file. It started printing right on the rear edge of the bed and made a really scary "skipping" sound as the nozzle slid along the glass edge..........not sure why that happened. Any sent me a dog file to try and that was also placed at the left rear BUT at least in .5" from the rear edge......
how does this compare against the sovol?
Would you recommend for a beginner and if not what would you recommend
Great review Daniel! 👍
I agree with so many of your points.... to me, it's just yet ANOTHER CR-10 type clone. The part cooling fan on one side bugs me (overhangs for the opposite side could suffer). Like you said, at this day and age, A4988 drivers should be long gone with 2208/2209 drivers available everywhere for not much money. (In comparison, the Eryone Thinker S/SE have 2208 for the same price, depending on sale) Good video :)
Hi I just recently purchased this printer after having problem with my Ender 5. About those step[per drivers? I never really got into replacing things for flashing programs but you said they easily slip in? What should I get? As far as 12v go I only print PLA, PETG and very little TPU. I liked your video Thanks
Can you make video how to upgrade Anycubic i3 Mega X to tmc 2208 drivers and how to properly set up marlin firmware?
How the hell did you get the starship to stay still while it was finishing the top?
I know this is old but do you have any suggestions for an all metal hot end? Also any other upgrades I should do still very new to printing but this is the one I got and would like to make the most of it.
Can you please help me. I just got my Mega X after seeing your video (thanks btw) and it just arrived with the print head loose. It wobbles up and down as the rollers don't seem right on the rail. I can't seem to find how to tighten them. Can you please tell or show how to do so? Thanks.
Hey, Mr. Modbot I'm looking for a mid-size 3d printer in the ballpark of $300 I'm not looking for a Resin printer. what would you recommend for a good 3d midsize printer. I have been watch a couple of your videos.
Love it
Can it use pause print in cura, which is a big downfall of Anycubic
I dont think thats a V6 style hotend....looks like a V5 style
bro dont use the scraper, just let it cool of and it pops off, i use i3 mega with same bed
I have to use a add to get my prints to stick. My bed realy dislikes large prints
@@dragonslyer74 then your to high, relevel your bed.
Thank You for not printing Benchy's lol
Why would they go to a 12V System? Thanks for the video ModBot
So you can print straight dc from a portable power supply like a battery, I would assume. Also saves cost if you’re paying for your electricity.
