He claimed that Fishing was impossible. I set out to prove him wrong.

also seanie did talk about fish ponds in his stream he just didn’t put it in the video. he thought fish ponds weren’t worth it bc he couldn’t place the fish ponds in an efficient way and thus taking care of them took most of the day

@@Zigzagonein60seconds minmax moment. I believe my fastest fishing lvl10 was something like day 8 with legend on day 6 or 7 (I rolled some good fishing food from the cart)
I don't think I've ever maxed it before year 3.

I really thought that the quality increase from perfect catches does increase Fishing xp. I built my whole fishing identity around it

@GamerZone Speaking yeah, significantly. But I thought the xp gets multiplied after the perfect catch quality increase is factored in. Which is apparently not the case. It only multiplies the fish you actually had on the line

This is very cool, my most proud fishing moment was catching The Legend year 1, so I had to get to level 9-10 fishing in the first season, which albeit is a lot less impressive than this, but I only hand-fished that whole time, and had no strategy other than pray. Lol. It was actually really down to the wire because I only started my personal challenge a little more or less than half way through spring 1. Lord I spent so long fishing
Did several attempts at minmaxing all of which died in early/mid-summer because of poor planning/resource management or just getting very bored. All attempts I used the strategy of non-stop fishing until lvl10 in early spring to sell all the fish for the bus to the dessert. Fucking hell I spent a lot of time fishing in this game lol

This was amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed the fishing game in Stardew Valley back when I played it (couldn't understand all the complaints, I thought it was fun) - seeing you racing this skill to 10, which took me literally the better of the 2 (ingame) years I played, is truely astonishing :D

It might not be a lot, but you can get three crab pots from the crab pot bundle, and with rock crabs and beach forage, you can complete it

even if you didn’t get level 10 on that last attempt, i’d say it was possible since if you had caught the Legend that one attempt you would have had it
I have always thought about this, and in theory you should be able to get level 10 fishing in multiplayer in 1 day without ever casting your line with crab pots and fish ponds. The only problem would be collecting them all since time is always moving in multiplayer, but you could set all this up with another person sleep to save. Load up the save file in single player and harvest everything you need for the xp in 1 day.
Ik with couch co-op multiplayer if everyone does something that would pause the game in single player at the same time that it’ll pause in multiplayer as well. Not sure if it works with other multiplayer forms though.
Honestly whenever I "need" green algae or seaweed I don't even consider fishing as an option since it takes so heckin long
Took me until year 4 mid summer to get fishing 10 and you get it in one day. Just impressive
that part with chairs really did something to me

Can someone explain the movement tech with the mini-obelisk? Were there ponds that were only accessible with an obelisk? Or were they only for quick jumps around the farm with minimized time loss?
The first lot of ponds were only accessible using the warp obelisk. The other times i used it was to save on run time back down the rows

I think using a trap bobber for the ledgend would have been worth it. The xp from the irdium quality was probably not worth needing to take multiple shots at the fish.
Eating the iridium fish is a better flex though....

Would the volcano have been an option for fishing xp for lava eels? I'm thinking that time moves slower (10 sec per tick) in that location, might be wrong though?
The Caldera does have good bite rates for Lava Eels. No bubbles thought. Time progressed normally up there.
It may be possible to do it up there too.
