Thanks Debbie, I don’t normally share things like this, but to give you more encouragement, I had a totally hysterectomy including all my lymph nodes as I had cancer. If there’s one bit of advice I can give, is when they tell you to walk, do it, little by little, but make sure you get up and about, it can be incredibly painful but it will help you in the long run, I promise, unless, of course your doctors tell you not to, after all we’re all different. 🥰🥰 Wishing you every success with your surgery and before you know it you’ll be crafting in no time. Big hugs 🥰🥰🥰🥰

You are the queen IMO of embossing powder & you share awesome tips. You have shared to go try things & then go with what works for you. Absolutely love the 3D embossing folders like you do! I made a mess of an embossed word so I versamark Ink snd reheat it snd while hot dipped in the powder and tested again. Several layers. Oh my goodness how it jumps out. Thanks for sharing your cards.

I hope you are on the mend and I'm so glad you get to craft while healing. I use coffee filters as well and find sometimes there is a little left behind so I write the name/color of the powder on the filter and have a stack of them with my powders to reuse without getting a stray white in my black and vice versa. If you're going to keep using them you might want to try smaller filters, they might be easier to use with the small bottles. Get well soon and Happy Crafting!

I just love your tutorials! I bought a piece of glass at the hardware store and put masking tape around the edges. Then on one side I taped Graph paper. The other side I use to do my scrapbooking. Easy clean up and storage.❤

Hope you are better soon. I too have had surgery and cannot lift heavy items so manual die cutting is out for now.....I really miss being able to just grab a box of dies off my shelf. I am sticking to watercolouring things I stamped before my op but you are tempting me to crack open my embossing powders following your last few demos. I never thought I would miss my crafting so much. Take it easy xxx

Hope your recovery is swift. Sometimes I think the funnest part of making cards is embossing powder. So many cool ways to use it. That color on the word "bestie" looks so good with the Catherine Pooler ink, just lovely. Also love the cross hatch on the flower. It's fun to see the same embossing folder used different ways as well, thanks for the video.

I've built up quite a collection of the Altenew 3D embossing folders and have to agree, they're beautiful. I saw a suggestion about using the domed foam applicators with the little handled round velcro applicators to ink the 3D embossed card. I had my doubts, but it worked quite well and seemed easier to control than the brushes (at least for me). I'm always looking for new ideas, so thanks for the card inspiration. Hope you continue to be on the mend 😊.

I would never have thought to use my brayer/embossing powder on embossed paper! You’ve opened up a whole new world for me and I want to go look at all my embossing folders again. I’ve got the basic colors of embossing powders but now I think I need other colors too…….. thanks! Feel better and don’t pick up anything heavier than your brayer!

Art Glitter glue is used a lot here but not sure that's the one you were thinking of. These cards are, as always, wonderful. Hope you are fully recovered soon and so glad you can still craft. It really does take us into another mindset.

Those embossing folders are beautiful! I used to watch CreateandCraft and saw Altenew products a lot. I never bought. The shipping to the U.S. is a lot after buying a product. I think your Sara Davies is on HSN tonight. She says your card stock is better than what is made here. But I've never bought any of it, either. Lol ...
I love the altenew embossing folders. Oh I don’t know, I love the WOW Cardstock as it’s super smooth, but Neenah (I think that’s American) is great for ink blending etc xxx
fabulous card with the thanks so much! I did a folder with a very similar pattern on a rainbow mirror card stock in the blue and green section only. I didn't use all the colors of the sheet. It looks great on a foil or mirror cardstock!

I’ve just ordered both these embossing folders as they are beautiful. I’ve only really just started with embossing as I’ve been nervous about trying them as I made a mess of the one and only tiny one I had but I’ve decided now that practice makes perfect ..so now I’ve seen your video I’ll have a bash x
Brilliant Elaine, never be nervous, it’s a piece of card at the end of the day, if I do something I’m not happy with I often, die cut in to a small heart and adhere that to a card. Just play 🥰🥰🥰
@@marionemberson oh that’s a good idea to cut the good parts into a heart I’ll remember that one. In fact i did something similar when I made a lovely backing card the other day by blending colours and I was mad with myself as I smudged it with some black dye but I then put a die cut heart over it with a sentiment so it wasn’t wasted ..very pleased with myself then 😃x

The floral embossed card panel on your left, I have also and made a beautiful anniversary card for my parents. I tore the edges around the image that I wanted to fit on the card panel as it is a wide print.

Try tearing that floral out and ink the edges, it's beautiful torn out. That crosshatch is really cool! And I am so not used to embossing I never thought to emboss an image from an embossing folder! I just love it! I had to do my card on a horizontal way to fit. I'll send you an image since we actually have one of the same things! I did buy Julie Hickeys foil flowers after watching you and of course tons of powders we have the same LOL

There's a glue called Bearly art glue that I have seen used. Have not tried it as I use and love Reptile glue. Thanks Posh Paper Lady. Love these cards you did!

Ranger Matt medium is the glue I use . It’s the best as it dries without shine . Don’t see at all if it seeps out anywhere . In U.K.

OMG! Don't overdo okay? You'll make your recovery worse, so it will make it longer. On the flip side, I do get you, it helps with the pain and thus helps with the healing. The body heals faster when the mind is not moaning. LOL Second surgery I had I was in bed whining oh woe is me, the pain and it took forever for me to get up and about again. Third one, I had projects waiting and I thought well maybe I can do a little. Finished all my projects, by doing a little. LOL And I healed quick, I wasn't depressed and I didn't even need the pain meds! : )
