      I did mist my card with some water off camera just to "set" the mica powder

      @@josimons9765From what I understand, the embossing powders n e e d to be heated as they are actually minuscule bits of PLASTIC. That’s why they get shiny when heated. Perfect Pearls, however, or SHINY EYE SHADOW (😉), again from what I’ve come to understand, are colored mica powders, so they get their shine from their mineral component. It does pay to “set” the mica powders, though, with a non-sticky hair spray or just water. Enjoy!

    Thank you for sharing this brilliant idea...I have lots of Perfect Pearls...what a great way to use them and it highlights the image so beautifully it also is a quick way to make a stunning card when needed.

      Don’t forget to raid your vintage eye shadow stash as well!! THEY can produce the same kind of effect!

      (( Yup … that’s what she used. You can also use eye shadow from your makeup stash. Just remember to mist your final result with water or a fixative of some kind. A non-tacky hairspray would work, but it’s been so long since I used hairspray that I’m not sure if they still make that kind! )).
