I’m following this exact tutorial now!!❤ I have the same dresser - white laminate on top, it’s mdf underneath not wood so I love this idea to make it look like wood!!!
Love this technique can’t wait to try it in my dressers! Love it! I do have 1 question, since it’s been a few months would you recommend sealing the furniture with some type of clear coat once it’s all done to avoid scratches??
I really love this. Thinking of doing it with my ikea dresser which is the exact same one. How is the paint holding up till now? Does it scratch easily?
Done! It looks the same as yours on the video. Also the same color it seems. It turned out very well! I'm also gonna paint and wax my ikea mirror that hangs above this dressoir. Glad I found your video🎉
Hai new here i am so excited with your videos and your project in your new home. so do I so many project in new house.... love from Indonesia and congratulation for your new home
Do you have the white ikea Hemnes dresser and have sanded it? It’s not the wood-stained version, which in that case it would definitely be easier to sand
@@jordanyeatts7081 The inside of the draw face is not stained/coated. When you look is yours not wood? If you sand it what do you expect to reveal. Plastic? I'm confused. Mines a back/brown one. Alot of RUclipsrs have sanded it back to wood.

@@merelgroot thank you! It has held up beautifully, no scratches at all and this is our daily use dresser!

That's very cool, don't you need sand?
I actually did not! The primer is the reason for that, it creates a bond that the paint will stick to!
Do you think this will work with the Olea dark wood? I have the same dresser but in black I want to redo..?
Totally! I painted it with a couple of layers of flat paint in a light beige, so the original color really doesn’t matter!

hetzlich wilkommen❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
"trying to make it look like wood" but if you sanded it back you would actually see bare wood and grain. It is wood.

@@jordanyeatts7081the Hemnes collection is solid wood so by stripping/sanding the top coat off you get back to the bare wood
