I just bought an Ikea Koppang dresser at a moving sale for only $40. It's seen a bit of wear and tear so I was looking for ideas to renovate it. This bamboo slat is really appealing. I may give it a try.
I would love to try something like this but I’ll start small with nightstands lol. I’ve never used a power drill but I’m ambitious 😊 The colour is stunning!
I have an assembled Hemnes dresser and want to cut off the 1/2" overhang on the left and right side of the top. Would the hand saw you have be suitable to cut both sides off? Any tips?
I would love to do this with a desk. Any suggestions on a good base piece of furniture to start out with? And with IKEA furniture, is it possible to paint something a light wood colour?
@@PeonyandHoney please let me know when you get a chance. 💖💖 I just got a dresser today and this is the PERFECT makeover to do on it. Might take me a few weeks because the pole wrap is sold out 😩😩
Erika .... this dresser looks absolutely stunning 😍 ... Just found your channel that's to DIY by KB🧡.... I would love to see more Ikea hacks especially since you made this $169 look like a million bucks🤩
I would have just done it on a cheap used dresser from goodwill. I refuse to ever work with ikea junk. Those dressers self destruct within a year or two.
Incredible! And that color - wow!
Just found you through tiktok and fell in looove with this dresser!! Also, you’re so pretty! 🤩
Omg awww thank you so much Sienna!
Gorgeous!!!
Absolutely great idea. Would it have been possible to attach the slatted sides on the bottom of the 1/2 circles? How much did it cost?
I love it so much! How many rolls of pole wrap did you need? Sending love from Australia xx
Wow. It’s spectacular. Well done.
Thank you very much
Wow!! Erika, you are always outdoing yourself. This looks great.
Thanks so much Halie 😘

I love this; it looks amazing! Did you have to sand it or just prime it in order to paint? Also, what sealent can I use to seal it? Thanks
I primed it with Zinsser bin enamel primer and painted it - i didnt sand or seal it
To maje the sides stronger i would nail a piece of half round cut to the height of the space between the 2 half tabletops
This is amazing! How much pole wrap did you purchase?
Love this!! Is pole wrap called something different in the UK? Can't find it online
I’m not sure what it may be called there - perhaps fluting?
Loved it! Which primer did you use ?
BIN enamel primer by Zinzer
Beautiful! What color is on your walls in the reveal room? Love it!
It is Benjamin Moore Barberry - the most gorgeous mauve tone
@@PeonyandHoney thank you!
Really beautiful 😍.
Thank you babe
I love your sofa. Where did you get it?
What sofa?
I would love to do this with a desk. Any suggestions on a good base piece of furniture to start out with? And with IKEA furniture, is it possible to paint something a light wood colour?
Hi new subscriber here. I love the dresser it turned out so beautiful. Great job.
Thank you so much!!!
You are so helpfull, much thanks!😊
So very pretty! Do you ever do thrift flips?
I do - i have some old thrift flips on here but i haven’t been able to get to the good thrift store recently but i will!!
This is beautiful 😍 I have the same dresser, I think I’m going to attempt this 🤩
Yessss you got this
Fabulous!!! Is it correct that the pole wrap costs $189?
This is so stunning! Do you sand down the original printed ones furniture first or just prime it before painting??
It's gorgeous! I'm definitely inspired! How wide (side to side) did it end up being once you added the rounded sides?
You know what I’ll have to measure but around 70-75”

Do you have the link for the primer?
Could you link the primer?
Love this! I have a 1980’s night stand this would work great on! Great job, sister!
Aww thank you
Do you think strong glue for wood will work instead of drilling?
Yes possibly - you’d need a construction adhesive though
Please do more tutorials with pole wrap
Have some nightstands coming up where i use it!
Thanks. Another project I have to do for the wife. 🙃
Love it!! How much did it cost for the diy?
Roughly $500 including the cost of the dresser - not super cheap but way less than any anthro dresser
Where did you say you listed the supplies needed for this project?
Hey babe the links are in the description
Thanks so much. Hope you’re feeling better.
Erika .... this dresser looks absolutely stunning 😍 ... Just found your channel that's to DIY by KB🧡.... I would love to see more Ikea hacks especially since you made this $169 look like a million bucks🤩
How much did is cost
How many rolls of poke wrap did you buy?
its 200 bucks for 1 ....might as well get a new dresser
Genius
I'm assuming your in the states but I could be mistaken. How much is the pole wrap there? Here in Canada it's $200 and up! 😳
Here i think it’s around $120
Another idea to cover the top with marble contact paper and make it look like it has a marble top
Yep definitely an option! I think it would’ve cheapened the look a little though in person
Can you make these and sell them😅😭
I would have just done it on a cheap used dresser from goodwill. I refuse to ever work with ikea junk. Those dressers self destruct within a year or two.
I def respect your opinion, but i had this exact dresser before for like 7 years and never had an issue.
