My 4 year old daughter Loves this song. And she loves Rancid... She got her first rancid shirt for her bday last week and loves it. Wore it to the dentist today with her "Mohawk hair" (did the best I could). She told everyone she seen about the shirt. She was so proud, I'm sure no one had a clue who rancid was. Man, I love that kid!

When my son was 8 and in the 2nd grade I had a parent teacher conference with his teacher and his principle and councillor was waiting for me there as well. They were concerned with some "rhymes" he was teaching to the other kids. They were Misfits lyrics 🤣🤣

Awesome to see that it’s brought a ton of new people to hear this song, and Rancid for maybe the first time. They have an incredible catalog of music, and we’re one of my favorite bands since I was young. So cool to see so many new listeners, and Ruby in AEW now couldn’t make me happier.
Rancid is great. Don't forget to discover Operation Ivy. Ruby's jacket has Ramones and Misfits patches... those are well worth your time. Punk is great.

the lyrics actually fit the wrestler's situation. She loved the WWE, they threw her away. She tearfully says goodbye and moves on to something else.
The lyrics also imply the boyfriend is too obsessed with himself and seeing his name on the marquee to care about Ruby. Could be a metaphor for WWE being so into its own branding that it’s too scared to push anybody new that would become a bigger star than the brand.

Randomly I sing this in the shower today. I haven't thought about the song since I was in middle school. I was one of/maybe possibly the only black girl in my little suburban town that loved punk music. All my family were telling me I should like typical "black" music like hip-hop and R&B. I won't lie a pretend I knew what the song meant when I was a goofy kid. But ruby soho, defined me in the music and aesthetic I loved. Now I am a college grad and this song still sounds amazing and I love that I'm mature enough to understand the meaning too. Thank you rancid

I've loved this song since it was new, and it just occurred to me this morning that the chorus melody is pretty much the mariachi horn part to "Ring Of Fire" by Johnny Cash. The fact that Rancid re-purposed that little bit of melody is all right by me.

The idea that, of all people, it was Ruby (sweet-hearted but awkward and shy in real life and was mistreated and eventually fired by Vince most likely due to her appearance) who did that is pretty heartwarming as both those things mean a lot to her.

I don't know if someone will ever read this, but this song means a personal history to me. See almost 2 years ago my parents told me just like that we were moving from NY to LA. In the summer of 2016 I tried to spend every day I could with my buddies, riding our bikes, hanging out, having fun every day, because I knew that it was going to be the last summer I was gonna see them. Back then, I was tired of listening to NoFX, Offspring or Ramones, so then I discovered Rancid. The whole "...And Out Comes the Wolves" album became the soundtrack of that summer. But this song...man, this song became my favorite. That moment when Tim is riding his bike, stops looking down while the rest of the band just keeps walking...man, It hits me hard.
