Hey, I'm not sure if you are aware. We can't click the hyperlink.
I ground up my liver and add it to my ground beef. It’s best way to go 😉 kids eat it up 🎉
Good idea
I wanna meal prep using this idea. How long does liver last in the fridge before it goes bad?
Tried that, still nasty lol.
@@funnybunnies1724 seriously lol I was like aw this is easy... stunk the whole house up made me gag.
@@freedommarine1442 😂
No one will probably see this, but salt, cumin powder and a dash of lemon juice go so well on raw beef liver.
Pair it with some raw onions, fresh mint leaves, and a loaf of pita bread... yum
you're lebanese right? 💀 ❤
if you know, you know, lol! @@mostafaallaw3085
Get more confidence in yourself your opinion matters
Are you eating it raw or cooked?
Fried bacon remove the bacon when it's crisp place the liver in the Bacon fat with tons of thin sliced onions and cook it until the liver is still pink inside don't go any further than pink inside and eat it with the bacon and the onions and mashed potatoes on the side oh my God a meal fit for a king
almost the same i do the same but instead of potatoes i do thinly sliced apples sprinkle with go ole pink salt sooo gooood
@@carolmaplesden916Try Himalayan black salt on fruit. It’ll change your life

I believe you
@@stovepipe9232 wtf does the salts color matter xD
@@silentyblitzi think 🤔 black salt is not actually salt the pink one is just a different size so it tastes different due to it not dissolving all the way
I bought liver and I couldn’t get myself to eat it. So I ended up using it for bait and caught a few catfish’s & turned them into fish nuggets.
😅
You don't know what your missing mix flour and seasoning salt maybe some pepper then fry the outside and leave it pink like a steak then is delicious
Jajajajaa
@@PibsMegiehow many mins each side
@@jenniferibarra7737 it depends on the thickness but thin ones just a minute per side
I was taught to soak the liver in lemon juice for a couple of hours. It takes out the impurities that give it a bitter flavor. Then coat it in whole wheat flour and fry it in bacon grease with mushrooms and onions
Wow adding sugar to a dish makes it taste better! I never would have guessed!
My mom washes it real good and than cooks like an hour with butter and onions, it's tasty ASF in fact i love it more than muscle meats. 100% recommended.
Can you give like a full recipe for this? It sounds amazing.
an hour?
@@emmalouie1663low n slow
Oooo an hour? Ask your mom about that hour.
I'm gonna try this one.. I been animic for my whole life and I'm 48. I had 6 children and I never felt so weak in my life. The old heads keep telling me to eat liver. I was 14 the last time I ate it.. smelled good but tasted like a hot pile of SOIL 🤢
i always freeze mine and then cut it up small and swallow it like pills...
all you need is 1.5-2 oz per day!!!
Yours is probably the best way I’ve heard so far!! It’s packed full of all your vitamins after all!
Yes! Take it like a pill!! ❤️❤️
Very cool idea for those who hate the taste! Smart!!
@@stormygirl1704 you can still taste it a lil bit but its tolerable.
I eat liver couple of times a month, half a pound at a time, cooked into a stew.😂
@@krisztianwirsz3612 you only need a couple oz at most at a time, but if you can consume it this way, more power to ya!
I've eaten psilocybin mushrooms for many years... I think I'll be fine with the taste of liver. lol
Its not so bad, try eating chemical drugs 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Especially try munching on some mdma pills or amfetamine
I actually like the taste of shrooms.
So have I. Liver still tastes like shit
From Japan 🇯🇵, liver and Chinese chives is a fan favourite. What we do is ,after cleaning it with water we soak the liver in milk .
You shouldn’t need to add sugars, in order to make a food “good”.
If you want the best liver recipe, so this:
- Soak up the liver in milk for 15-20 minutes. This will remove the tartiness of it.
- Then finally cut garlic, and put it on the liver.
- Finally take it to the pan with butter or olive oil and sprinkle some salt on to it.
Best liver you will ever eat, and all natural.
you shouldn't is a funny statement
@@RobStuart Yes, I laughed all the way through.
I don’t think you know what the word finally means..
Thank you for this. I prefer my food sugar free.
I will try to prepare it like this, minus garlic, and I will let you know what I thought.
For me, I boil it first till light brown. Then I can store for later or cook it straight away on the pan with a little olive oil, rose Mary, and salt and pepper. Put the burner on medium in the beginning then low after once you hear the liver sizzle or if oil starts to pop out. Wait for the liver to get a good crisp but not fried. Eat it with fresh bread like sourdough or just plain white bread. Just a simple and quick-ish dish if you don’t want to cook heavy or on a student budget.
my trick is to get grass-fed calves liver and soak it in milk first. then cook it with bacon (lots of bacon fat) and butter. then after searing the liver take it out and throw in a TON of onions and cook them down in the same pan. serve it with some rice and i'm telling you, it's fantastic
The even better trick, dip the cut liver into milk and let it sit for 20 minutes. DON'T add salt, leave that for the last minute of cooking, you don't want to lose moisture from the beef. Many people say you should cook liver for just a couple of minutes, but I cook it for a solid 20 minutes with a lot of onion and garlic, and oil. It's freaking amazing with mashed p[otatoes!
Okay I want to learn how to do that
Cook it for 20 minutes? At what temperature? I’m thinking low, yes? Liver is very delicate, you do not want to overcook it, because you’re destroying the very thing that you’re trying to get out of it.
@@davidbrucemusicvideo I hear you, yes it's not a strong temperature. So far I have made it dozens of times and it is really good. Ok maybe its not 20 minutes of cooking but 15 for sure.
@@davidbrucemusicvideo I had no idea you could overcook it & mess up the nutrients. Thanks!
@@davidbrucemusicvideocan you provide any further information on that? Pretty much all our traditional liver recipes require searing liver at very high temps. I've never heard about nutrient-loss. If anything, the discussion goes in the direction of Texture and taste, not nutrients. Is it really that significant? Or just not that fabled "optimum"?
I'm a firm believer in sufficient. I usually favor sufficient over perfect, the last 5% aren't worth the effort in most cases, in my opinion 😉
Either with ground beef or soak liver in milk for 2 hours then cook in a pan and it tastes pretty good. No harsh flavors.
Cook it for less than 10 minutes, overcooking and boiling makes it rubbery,
Add liver to very hot oil in a pan, add chopped onions fry 2-mintes, add chopped tomato, bell peppers salt and seasoning of choice(keep it simple), One can also add ginger and garlic
Add the ginger and garlic to the oil first that way they flavour the oil.
Also you can soak it in milk for 30 min prior to cooking it, it gets rid of that grainy texture
I love the taste of liver fortunately^^
Me too.
so lucky
You Americans have the best recipes 🥓
I have been adding some drops of smoke oil, makes it super tasty. I would do all he suggests, fry up on some onions after marinating in port with some drops of smoke oil.
Chicken hearts are by far the cheapest yet most tasty protein I’ve had. I’ve been eating them since 10 years old. I’m 21 now and experimenting. I marinated them in teriyaki Sauce, onions and garlic; marinated for 8 hours and grilled them on the barbecue.
They were so tender, jebus H christicle.
I can't even be in the same room with a piece of liver because the smell makes me nauseous.
I still consume it for personal health reasons in frozen form. 😅
Kerry Gold butter used to make me nauseous but I kept eating it and now I can't tell the difference between it and any other butter.
When it is proper made with some onions and bell peppers...🤤
And garlic.
Letting it soak in milk for 5 min is great for getting the musty funk out
I used to do it, it really makes it taste better, but I read that milk extracts metals like iron and makes it less nutritious 🤔
@Hey Google that's why I use pickle juice.
@@jordanbridges I just made beef liver pate for the first time, and it was succes, I will try once with pickle juice, for now I just soak it in water
@@jordanbridges im heavy on liver, I eat cod, chicken, beef liver all the time 😅
@@heygoogle6133 How was it with the pickle juice?
How does chicken liver compare for all the nutritional pluses that beef liver has? For some reason, I love chicken liver but can't go near beef liver.
Grill it, that’s the best way but before you do that , wash it and marinate it in lemon, garlic and salt then put it on the grill and once it’s cooked, add some cumin powder. Enjoy!
I baked mine ( frozen) in a pool of worchestershire with salt pepper and a chunk of butter on top in the oven at 350° for about 45 minutes flipping over halfway thru
Wait, you put it in the oven frozen? So, it doesn’t need to thaw first? I would like to try this.
Just tried this with the maple syrup my parents got me from new england and the black volcano salt blend from hawaii they gave me. I am one to love liver no matter what, never thought it was gross, but this actually does really taste great. Thank you.
nice
Wtf you mean, even without seasoning its wonderful
I just sear it, cut it into small pieces, freeze it and take 2 or 3 a day like a pill with my breakfast… I can’t taste it but I get the benefits
Thanks! Will try
Get you some Tony’s seasoning a few cubs of butter and grill ur onions then put some flower on ur liver fry it In the butter and onion Till medium well good good
Salt and garlic powder and after about 3 times in a row of eating it I’ve actually begun to REALLY like beef liver. Weird I know!
I'm trying to fix my joints and hormones I'm going for it lol😂thanks
Caramelize the onions first.
Raw liver (GF, Organic) + fresh lemon juice
❤️🍋💛
I agree, I've tried soaking it then flash frying it, and lots of other ways to hide the taste, but the fact is, once it cooks even a little, it taste of that famous liver taste, so i normally just soak it milk, wash it the cut it small and eat it raw with seasalt and cracked pepper. The lemon sound good. Ill try that
for me i was eating them since i was young and i love liver and bofé
I find the best thing to is flower it, flash fry it, and stick it in the oven for 20 minutes. It is great that way! I typically season with Salt pepper garlic...
I've always like liver, i dont know why people think it doesn't tast good. After 9 year not eating them im glad to find some good quality liver from a famer. Grass feed grass finish. I grew up eating organ meat, but when i moved here to the US it was hard to get good quality organ meats.
Ooh great tip...gonna try!
Soak the liver in milk and salt for 1-2 hours
Does this have the same glycation-promoting effect that combining sugar with protein does?
I tried liver for the first time yesterday, I cooked it in butter and then mixed it with BBQ sauce afterwards and it was absolute fire
Guys, try livers with Bangladeshi and Pakistani recipe trust me it tastes SO GOOD. we've been eating organ meats for centuries and we know how to make it taste good
Can I use honey instead?
had the same question
You dont need to sweaten everything, sugar gives a horrible flavour to food in general.
I like liver pate, not sure how much liver is actually in it but it tastes great
If it's anything like chicken liver pate, it's nearly all liver with just some aromatics and herbs.
Really??? Wow and if we want to froze it and put it in a smoothy?
Cut into little pieces, freeze it and eat it. Tastes like sorbet.
Just started on the liver. Thanks for the tip!
Salt, pepper, and sesame oil sauce!!!! Raw or seared
😂great way to making liver good!! Love the humor
cook it with vegetables and spices in a pan and make a sandwich with it. only way to eat it. you can also add cheese and hot sauce.
At what point? When it’s finished cooking?
Well as an alternative, can Morninga or drumsticks for beef liver will work ? @RobStuart sir ?
Put it in flour than Seat it untillbit well done and eat with onion and if you Like apple
I LOVE the taste of liver
I make liverdumpling soup. It’s yummy
Where do you get your beef liver from?
I generally get it from the butcher
@@RobStuart Thanks 🙏🏿
You can get it from any grocery store in the frozen food section. Just ask your meat department guy where it is.
WildFork has great choices in beef heart and liver
I grew up eating organ meats so their base taste is palatable to me. It's part of the "joy" of it weirdly... The contrast taste/texture it has to regular meats.
u must try to add ZA POMEGRANATE MOLASSES
KALEJI FRY
amazing Indian recipe😊
I'm hoping this recipe will help. The last time I had liver I was 14.. it smelled good but it tasted like warmed up pile of SOIL.. 🤢🤮
The reason we have taste buds is to not eat things that taste bad to us. Our bodily senses should not be over run by what our minds tell us we "should" eat.
good argument to not eat veggies. also one has to take into account how our pallets have been bastardized and diluted from years of eating garbage sugary processed foods. the times i've eaten raw fresh liver, after being animal based for years, it tasted amazing.
Fair enough.
Do salt after!
I'm guessing beef liver is the best?
Where do you find grass-fed liver?
What about raw honey?
haven't tried it on liver. might be great. let us know
Lizano sauce, salt and pepper mmmmh delish!
I always loved liver as kid my grandma sautéed it with salt and some onions and I loved it I tried it with my kids and surprisingly they loved it but I do want to try other ways to make it
If you get the right liver from a good liver it won't taste bad, it'll taste more sweet
A spoonful of sugar and all that
How do you higher MG of calcium, magnesium if you cannot consume too much of liver due to A vitamin toxicity?
No, thanks. Fortunately, I now like it very much and so I devour it when I eat it 🤣 However, it wasn't always like this and so I used to sprinkle lemon juice on it in the beginning. It's so much better than having to put sugar on it, because then you can't get rid of it anymore and you'll most probably start wanting more.
MAPLE SYRYP AND TABLE SUGAR ARE NOTHING ALIKE.
@@RobStuart Where did you read that? All carbohydrates are alike, since they all turn into sugar and get deposited as fat into our body. Both maple syrup and table sugar are made of sucrose, which is glucose and fructose. Fructose, which many think is better than glucose, is actually even worse because it is metabolized only by the liver, which turns it into triglycerides.
@@DiarioCarnivoro 🤦🏻♂️
A little maple syrup is not gonna kill you. It is natural unlike refined white sugar.
you're mistaken. its like saying all proteins are alike. @@DiarioCarnivoro
Soak the liver in milk and fry with onions and gravy.... State Law.
I used to make chicken livers but apparently I under cooked it and zI was sick and in the hospital.
Can you put some freshly ground pepper on it too?
Why not you gon eat it flavour it how you like it
Do you eat it raw this way?
Marinade yoir lover for several hours in your fav milk. Preferable A2 milk. Gently shake off excess milk. Fry med heat in your ceramic or cast iron fry pan. Add seasonngs you like. DON'T OVER COOK. A LITTLE PINK IN MIDDLE IS PERFRCT. of you overcook dry shie liver and most nutrients are lost. Med rare is best. Rare if your a lion!
Had me really laughing about marinading my lover in milk for several hours. 😂😂😂
Worcestershire and Dale's seasoning, along with some ranch and hot sauce. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to make food taste good 👍😊
Please make video on goat and lamb liver
And eat it raw??
I actually love the taste of liver
why does it have to be grass fed?
bro put it on the grill add parsley garlic and salt on top its fucking delicious
if that worked for me / us I wouldn't have made this video
bro i usually cut them then boil them for 1-2 mins then add to blender for protien shake + liver mix
taste like poo but it does the work forme
I can fry up liver and eat it everyday
No never salt liver before frying, that makes livers hard and chewy
Or add sea salt and lime juice and throw them back. Won’t taste a thing aside from lime juice and salt
I let mine soak in lime juice before cooking.
i used honey with it and it’s still digusting
You have to get it in milk for 30 -40 minutes for the strong taste and odor to go away, after that fry with onions and butter, add lemon, delicious
It’s not even bad when you cook it with onions
Just the smell makes me gag. I'm thinking of cutting it into bite size pieces raw, freezing it and choking a small amount down each day.
No syrup just use honey
I can't eat maple syrup tho 😢
Asked my butcher to add the liver and heart to our ground frim 1/2 cow. He said by regulation they weren't allowed to add thos to the ground beef. Oh well.
