    @hugom.4027 5 месяцев назад +17

    You shouldn’t need to add sugars, in order to make a food “good”.
    If you want the best liver recipe, so this:
    - Soak up the liver in milk for 15-20 minutes. This will remove the tartiness of it.
    - Then finally cut garlic, and put it on the liver.
    - Finally take it to the pan with butter or olive oil and sprinkle some salt on to it.
    Best liver you will ever eat, and all natural.

    For me, I boil it first till light brown. Then I can store for later or cook it straight away on the pan with a little olive oil, rose Mary, and salt and pepper. Put the burner on medium in the beginning then low after once you hear the liver sizzle or if oil starts to pop out. Wait for the liver to get a good crisp but not fried. Eat it with fresh bread like sourdough or just plain white bread. Just a simple and quick-ish dish if you don’t want to cook heavy or on a student budget.

    my trick is to get grass-fed calves liver and soak it in milk first. then cook it with bacon (lots of bacon fat) and butter. then after searing the liver take it out and throw in a TON of onions and cook them down in the same pan. serve it with some rice and i'm telling you, it's fantastic

  • @jupitereye4322
    @jupitereye4322 Год назад +40

    The even better trick, dip the cut liver into milk and let it sit for 20 minutes. DON'T add salt, leave that for the last minute of cooking, you don't want to lose moisture from the beef. Many people say you should cook liver for just a couple of minutes, but I cook it for a solid 20 minutes with a lot of onion and garlic, and oil. It's freaking amazing with mashed p[otatoes!

      Cook it for 20 minutes? At what temperature? I’m thinking low, yes? Liver is very delicate, you do not want to overcook it, because you’re destroying the very thing that you’re trying to get out of it.

      @@davidbrucemusicvideocan you provide any further information on that? Pretty much all our traditional liver recipes require searing liver at very high temps. I've never heard about nutrient-loss. If anything, the discussion goes in the direction of Texture and taste, not nutrients. Is it really that significant? Or just not that fabled "optimum"?
      I'm a firm believer in sufficient. I usually favor sufficient over perfect, the last 5% aren't worth the effort in most cases, in my opinion 😉

    The reason we have taste buds is to not eat things that taste bad to us. Our bodily senses should not be over run by what our minds tell us we "should" eat.

    • @RobStuart

      good argument to not eat veggies. also one has to take into account how our pallets have been bastardized and diluted from years of eating garbage sugary processed foods. the times i've eaten raw fresh liver, after being animal based for years, it tasted amazing.

    No, thanks. Fortunately, I now like it very much and so I devour it when I eat it 🤣 However, it wasn't always like this and so I used to sprinkle lemon juice on it in the beginning. It's so much better than having to put sugar on it, because then you can't get rid of it anymore and you'll most probably start wanting more.

      MAPLE SYRYP AND TABLE SUGAR ARE NOTHING ALIKE.

    • @DiarioCarnivoro
      @DiarioCarnivoro Год назад +4

      @@RobStuart Where did you read that? All carbohydrates are alike, since they all turn into sugar and get deposited as fat into our body. Both maple syrup and table sugar are made of sucrose, which is glucose and fructose. Fructose, which many think is better than glucose, is actually even worse because it is metabolized only by the liver, which turns it into triglycerides.

    Marinade yoir lover for several hours in your fav milk. Preferable A2 milk. Gently shake off excess milk. Fry med heat in your ceramic or cast iron fry pan. Add seasonngs you like. DON'T OVER COOK. A LITTLE PINK IN MIDDLE IS PERFRCT. of you overcook dry shie liver and most nutrients are lost. Med rare is best. Rare if your a lion!
