No need for all the complexity. I did it two ways and they both turned out the same; really wonderful. Bella's way, separating and all. Then I just put eggs, put on them the whole amount of both collagen and gelatin at once and before whipping, and and whipped all together. So quick and easy. Same identical pancakes. Enjoy with less work.

Super important with this recipe: do not over cook in the slightest because it will taste like burnt collagen. You must cook low heat, with some oil, and with the lid on in order to cook low and slow. Also I added a bit of vanilla extract to the mixture and that is also very delicious.

Great Recipe, if you don't feel like flipping them, they can also be made Dutch baby style.
Just preheat an 8in. cast iron skillet in the oven at 375F, grease the skillet, pour in all the batter (3-egg recipe), place the skillet back in the oven uncovered, and allow to cook for about 20min.
The pancake will deflate after you pull it out, as all dutch babies do, but will still be pretty fluffy on the plate.

I made a double batch of these last night and had some left over for breakfast. They held up well in the fridge. There is a learning curve to cooking them but once you get it they turn out great. I will try to freeze some next so I can batch cook them for a quick breakfast. I do advise using two pans as the cook time is longer than regular pancakes. I can say that I can feel the collagen texture. Not off putting to me but those that do not eat so much meat might notice it. Also tried putting in some sweetener, the protein makes the sweetness less so putting the sweetness on top works best and makes it easier to serve people with different dietary goals. Thanks for the recipe. Its a nice alternative to clean carnivore eating

    WEEL DONE BELLA!
My wife has cooked almost everything for the past 28 years, but i decided to try Bella's pancake recipe. Amazing!!! With 3 eggs and collagen, i ended up with 4 pancakes. I have a gas stove, so started on the lowest heat, but ended up raising it in order for the first side to turn golden brown before flipping (~10 mins). While it cooked i made the whipping. I was amazed by the consistency of it all! They were exactly like a pancake mix, but more healthy. I've been (partially) doing Keto/Carnivore for a while but need to get serious. I'm really struggling with breaking the sugar and carb addiction. I also cooked up a side of bacon to go with the combo in order to have a full breakfast. Although it wasn't as sweet as normal pancakes with syrup and all of that, it tasted great. I did not use any syrup or honey. I will need to figure out how to sweeten it a little bit, although I don't want to use artificial sweetener. My wife will be able to 'giz it up' as she is an amazing cook.
Overall, as a rookie cook, the process took probably an hour and there will be lots to clean up as im a messy cook!
Bella, when is your cookbook coming out? 😅

    - I then poured the liquid in a pan and they came out beautifully and tasted amazing, thank you

Ok, I tried these this morning, and got a so so result. The taste was great, but the airiness is definitely determined by cooking time, and that is determined by the heat. I think the ingredient quantities are good, but times and heat settings are going to vary widely, depending on individual circumstances (type of cooking appliance, type of pan…etc). I used a stainless steel pan (which do work well when heated correctly, as demonstrated in the video, and it’s what I’ve been doing for years), and I initially went for 8 min at a medium-low temp before flipping, but that was way too hot still. So I turned the heat right down, and ball-parked the time (about 6 min), and got a slightly better result. I think for my situation, the temp has to be right down low, for the full 8 min prior to flipping, to ensure they cook enough to avoid deflating when flipping. I will keep doing it this way though, as they were quite good.

I have made waffles using a recipe with identical ingredients, but without separating the eggs and whipping the whites. Comes out great. It did NOT make fluffy pancakes, though, so imma definitely follow your directions for the pancake version. PS - adding in vanilla, cinnamon, and monk fruit is not as pure, but it sure tastes good!

I'm celiac, & haven't had any gluten free products but this looks so yummy! Hubby has passion for cooking and he uses his mom's cast iron pans for everything! He sent me your videos about half a year ago because i love butter but never knew it was ok to eat it like you do! I just love it with steak too! Idk how ive lived 55 years without eating it like this or by itself!! My friends think I'm nuts but i don't care lol!! Thank you Bella for all your great videos! This was too cute towards the end "Did i just order 50 pounds of butter?!!" ❤😂

My daughter, they are both young adults, and I both have autoimmune issues, so this has helped a lot with chronic inflammation. We are looking into what helps certain things like POTS.
Our son just a few hours ago said that he's not eating as much as he used to & he's not as hungry and it's probably saving us money grocery wise because we aren't buying stuff loaded with carbs like bread. I don't miss that! Yes, I found out hubby could cook so I quit, mil said I couldn't but I said "I just did!" I think hubby cooks so he doesn't waste away lol but seriously he is better at it! He just made carnivore pizza. So good! Looking back, there was a plate called the diet plate, something like that, a burger with cheese and bacon no bun. That was practically carnivore but it was hard to grasp because they made it sound like it was sort of a punishment. It really isn't. 😃

Nobody in the carnivore community talks about soup. Just 4 ingredients - 6 ponds of meat (less expensive parts, but with fat, if you have bones is better), water in 7 litters pot, 2 tbs salt and have of the jar of fermented souerkrout from costco, previously dried out on pan. It sounds more like keto dish. But predators start to eat animals from the belly - organs and predigested, fermented grass/veggies or milk.
