It's telling that you are wary about using the Contax T2. It's a lovely thing but what's the point of having one, at the now very inflated price, if you daren't use it? And as it's a virtually unrepairable camera if it goes wrong it's more of a liability than an investment. This is a very round about way of saying do buy a Nikon L35AF and enjoy it while you can!
hi! I just got a Nikon Teletouch 300 AF 35 mm and im very new to film and was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to use it/insert film/tips with it?
You can change dx code to overexpose. I also think that camera doesn't underexpose. Those cheap film are not stored in proper conditions and can have lower iso because of heat.
I think you need a sticker with a different dxcode to do that. I've used this camera with other films since this video and I've found that it tends to underexpose a lot of shots
Aaron Fleming ok, maybe thats the case with this camera. I always overexpose and get better results. It's also easier to scan. About the dx codes - you can change them by scraping the paint or cover the metal with black electric tape.
I've also experienced some underexposure with my old Nikon L35AF, but it has a manual ISO dial so I just set the ISO one stop over the films native ISO. Advantage of having an older model, I guess :-) It only goes to ISO1000 though, so that's a bit of a disadvantage.
It's a special feature on this model. Back in the day it was too remember when you took an image which is good for if you're looking back through all photos in years to come you know when it was taken. There's a button on the back of your camera and when the screen goes from numbers to " - - -" that means the camera now won't print anything on the negative. Hope this helps a bit
Great video! I have this camera and I miss using it so much, its out of battery. Do you know what batteries it uses? I have had such bad luck with 2 types that I've tried.
Its a point and shoot compact or as i call them 'idiot-proof'. Higher end compacts like your Contax T2 has the feature of +/- 2 EV. I have the T2 as well. I have the water-proof version of your L35AD2. The L35AWD. Its armoured and built like a tank. No point and shoot camera has anything you can change. Its made to be as i stated in my first statement, idiot-proof.

@@AaronFleming maybe you should measure on the shadows and use the AE lock?
Only the orginal has the 5 element lens. The others have a 4 element lens
wahts the different with 5 and 4 element lenses? more sharpness on pic quality??
Where is the battery bed of date function? I have the same camera but I couldn’t find the date function battery bed 🤷♀️
It's inside the back cover from what I can remember
why does the date show on the Film? I'm new to Film point and shoots and I just purchased the L35AD
