I know the lens grouping is different, but let it be said that the Nikon L35AWAD also produces some uniquely stunning results, absolutely love that camera. For contrasty dramatic sharp shots I've found it to be a stunning point and shoot.
The AF3 also has a filter ring mount. It's only the AF2 that doesn't have it. The AF3 actually addresses some of the issues you talked about. It has a better battery compartment and no pop-up flash. It has a button to override use of flash. The AF3 flash also has an automatic diffuser for fill light. It does sport a specialty battery, a CR-P2 - but on the other hand it lasts 50 rolls (with 30% flash photos) and up to 5 years. (no leakage) So the trade-off right be worth it. It also turns off automatically, so no worry of forgetting to turn the camera off. No ISO setting and only 4 element lense though - so it is a bit of a compromise.
thank you for the review! i actually own the l35ad. the flash is what i don't like as it will pop up automatically on low light. i see some videos to press the flash down when about to click the shutter button, it seems to work but it might cause some damage internally so i don't dare to try it.
Just picked one of these up and can’t wait to see what I can get out of it. Mine can only go up to 400iso but I have seen others go up to 1000iso. Is mine an earlier version? Edit/ watched to the end and you mentioned it and have the same model as me. Very cool. Great video
You do not know point and shoot until you've tried the Ricoh GR1v. I come from a streak of Point & Shoot (Two mju ii, yashica T3 super) and it's still my favorite. Some of the function are overkill to be honest, but the only bad thing about this camera is it's compactness (which say a lot about it's quality). So small and tiny there's no real grip to it ! I'll lend you mine if you want to try Ryan !
Im new to film and I googled the camera thinking you were recommending unknown good quality cheap point and shoot and there like $500-700 on eBay lol. I won’t be buying one :(
This Nikon product has dozens of YT videos hyping it. This video is much more accurate and balanced. It also contains information missing from nearly all others. Top points: the lens is professional Nikon quality; the battery door is easily broken off.
Thank you for your time.
Thank you for warching

Thank you for your keen insights! Will hope for a chance to try it out one day
Fantastic review! I didn’t know about the accessories - thank you for mentioning them! I will have to search for them! Really enjoyed your video🎉
Thank you for watching and glad you find it useful 🙏
Nice review! I recently got this camera as a gift. Can’t wait to see how the images come out.
How did the images turn out?
Very helpful, thank you! The L35AF is my first point and shoot.
My go to point and shoot
Love the review. Thanks for also not using the dreaded cliche'd line of "honest review". Keep up the good work!
Thank you I am new to this. Wasn't aware of that cliche'd line lol
What a fabulous gift damn

i am interested in the accessories. are they worth buying? i agree it is a nice 80s camera. great lens.
Actually the distortion is very weird, I don’t recommend it
Really good video for new owners!

That’s the self timer
@@silveranddye ok. Thanks
Where did you send it for repairs? Pleasantly surprised to hear you found someone willing and able to work on one of these.
Back to the shop it was sold from

finally a person who pronounces Nikon correctly!
Did I really?! 😂
Where did you get the leather strap for it?
Some old camera shop in Singapore, yes I prefer the shop in person lol
I think your sister made a very nice present
I think so too!
I have the 1000 iso 😂
I purchased that version eventually 🫠
