The irony that Bill and Frank lived their best lives at the worst point in humanity,-lives they might not have been able to openly together in the past-is not lost on me. Lol excellent story writing. And the last scene with the truck driving away shot from the open window..😭😭
Fun Fact: The scene where Frank explains to Bill how he wants his final day to go. That was Murray Bartlett’s audition. Not only did he pick the toughest scene first but he delivered it phenomenally!
Druckmann and Mazin took a one-off side character and a pair of dangling legs, and turned them into an absolutely beautiful love story that actually expanded on the themes of the game. Just incredible. Save who you can save.
Could not agree more. He was beautiful it was eloquent it had some of the best single lined loving epic dialogue I've ever heard found myself squeezing my fiance's thigh or hand every time Nick Offerman spoke it was poetic it was beautiful and I have never cared for a relationship between two characters I didn't know before it's such a small amount of time. It was a masterpiece
Just wish they didn't kill him off. Hes a great character to bring back. Especially if they're doing a part 3. Wish we also could've gotten some scenes with him and elle in the show.
@@raybryan0820 I understand what you mean that he's a great character, but I think the MCU his kind of poisoned us to this idea that all characters should eventually come back in cameos or whatever. What makes the story of Bill and Frank so powerful in the show is how self-contained it is, from beginning to end. It's perfect the way it is imo and it's not worth spoiling that just to throw in some fun interactions down the line
lol
@@romilrh This is a great point. What Bill & Frank's relationship seeks to emphasize is beauty in the midst of brutality, and indeed, beautiful things don't seem to last in brutal times. Nevertheless, we never seek anything else but beauty, especially in the midst of horror, and perhaps death is worth it. We can't hope to scale ourselves against Mother Nature and her infinity but perhaps, in these moments of beautiful connections and tenderness, we can briefly see ourselves at her eye level.
The way Bill rotated Franks plate the way he liked it like Frank did the first time they met was phenomenal 😢
'I was never afraid before you showed up' is one of the most heartbreakingly romantic lines. EVER. 💖😭💔
When bill was eating the steak or liver in his first meal scene his "mmMmm" sent my mind straight to parks and rec
Omg same 😂 and when he was giddy about everyone being gone!
Also the giggle when he tasted the strawberry
This episode was unbelievable. The writing, the acting, the emotions. I’m blown away
Blown away? Very interesting choice of words...
@@OffTheCover okay? And I’m still going to continue to use those words……
Well he was gay at the game too 🤷
it's just Ellie found the gay porn newspaper 📰 🤣
@@BBQcheese congrats on your opinion
So were Bill and Frank
My favorite reference is when Joel is telling Ellie about one of his scars, someone shot at him and missed, and then Ellie asks “did you shoot him back?” To which Joel responds “no, I missed too. It happens more often than you think” referencing how often you will miss shots in the game. Also tells you this isn’t a world like the walking dead where everyone is a headshot only marksman
Yeah and also in real life, if you are being shot at, your bodys instinctive reaction is to cover up and protect the vital organ areas, so maintaining a proper posture and aiming your weapon is incredibly difficult when you don't have the proper training and experience.
This show has been so good so far. They stick to the source material when it makes sense and stray to make the show much more than just a retelling of a video game.
Yes! Well said. I read many a message of people upset that the show is straying too far from the game, but I think they added to it instead of subtracting from the game's storyline.
I didn't like this project til said ep..
Since you have played this game, can I ask u a question?
I ALWAYS make comments to my best friends kids- age 19 & 21..basically to stop being spoiled brats & get a fucking job!!! That's putting it nicely.
So we were talking abt the show & her son said...Joel takes her to the place where they have to kill Ellie & Joel kills the doctors & takes Ellie away.
I was like YOU SMUG FUCK!
Is that what happens in the game?
@@imkitti1942Joel refuses to let Ellie be used for a cure so yeah likely it will happen this way.
@@b.richardsalas1393 TY hun, U rock cuz how politely U told me...I basically was told really fast the whole game, then---I'm jokin'
I was initially disappointed that they removed the Bill's town section of the game. But what we got instead was a genuinely incredible love story that moved me to tears. What an episode.
Stop overreacting why the hell we need a love a story?
@@DonationKing411 the last of us is a story of humanity.
@@DonationKing411 The Last of Us isn't solely focused on fungus zombies, it's the story of humanity's struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and survive against all odds. The story between Frank and Bill was a beautiful vignette set in a world where all hope is completely lost. It is a spark of hope in a world where there is no hope.
@@DonationKing411 Have you been playing The Last of Us at all?
I've noticed that literally everyone overrecats now a days.. OH MY GOD THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFULLY WOKE PIECE OF SHIT ART I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!!
“It can’t last” and “vanishing grace” scores from the game were utilized perfectly. E3 had so much depth with Bill & Frank’s relationship
A 5.6% of LGBT population imposing their views, inserting a rigged story into the frame of the original one to the rest of officially heterosexual people. That´s simply abuse and distortion of culture.
Furthermore...do gay person think they can help to repopulate the world in case of a disaster? Do not respond telling they can adopt a child, we are talking about surviving, not to rule an adoption agency. Thinking seriously, the subject of TLOU is surviving, so this chapter is totally out of plot, and a whole settlement like this should better taken by raiders to seed an opportunity to families aimed to rise kids. Think about this, is fictional of course, but we´ve better be prepared, the way things are going...
Read “E3” and had a flashback to when I was 16 and I’d watch the event online
Yeh the problem is, how does a paranoid survivalist who doesn't trust anyone ends up fucking a guy a few hours after finding him in a trap, this was a filler episode that kinda mocked Bill from the game
@@nunoquinteira805 not a problem for me, E3 gave an extension on his character and what he had the potential to be. Bill’s fortress didn’t feel like a home til Frank showed up. If people are still hung up on gay men having sex then, oh well 😆
@@Wholesomewebs I don't think it was an extension, it was a complete change, I think if they bothered showing Bill not letting him leave cause he was afraid of people coming and slowly started to trust and see that frank didn't have bad intensions and go from there, not being like "buuuum lets fuck and love each other forever even tho I just met u" that's the problem in my opinion
I loved this episode it even made me tear up. One thing I wish they would have kept was Ellie meeting Bill their banter was so funny, and Ellie stealing his magazine and Joel's reaction.
Yeah honestly I'm a little disappointed we never got to see any of the great parts of Bill's section in the game. But what we got instead was incredible too.

The part where Ellie reads Bill's last letter and then the "hehehehehehe" was an easter egg to Roy Swanson's laugh
Murray Bartlett in The White Lotus: dies
Murray Bartlett in The Last of Us: dies
What? Sean Bean wasn't available?
On the one hand I’m sad we didn’t get to see Bill’s town like how it was in the game and the anxiety inducing school section, but on the other hand I really like how the show took the opportunity to expand on more of the rich story and lore that the game didnt have a chance to. Also I like the change in how bill/frank’s story ended. It’s one of the few happy and bittersweet moments that we’ll get to see before the onslaught of emotion coming up.
Cant wait for the upcoming brothers, and I hope they keep that damn sewer section 😆
Ooooooo... the sewer section. 😨
Hopefully they keep in the "they didnt suffer" that part hit me a lil too hard for something you can easily pass up
The last of us isn't about happy and bittersweet moments, this is a world where an infection took out the human population and everyone is surviving to live. The giraffe scene is supposed to be that big moment. This completely distracted viewers from the overall storyline and it was utterly pointless to change Bill & Frank from the game. This could have been an action packed episode, but it was boring and generic to cater to what someone who hasn't played the game wants to see.
“On The Nature of Daylight” by Max Richter is one of my favourite pieces of music. I first heard it in Arrival and I cried hearing it in this episode
Druckman is a genius, I loved this episode because it was completely new story to us gamers and also because you clearly see his writing style all over it. Only proves that he hasn’t lost the essence of the last of us. This show is absolutely lovely
THey somehow made a "Hes the only idiot who would wear a shirt like that." character and made us care so much for him, while expanding on Bill's character and past, something those who played the games were curious about, all while sticking with the theme of the game, Save who you can Save. Brilliant
yes i was prepared to be annoyed with the change but tbh it could have happened in the game. yes bill and ellies swearing at eachother was fun but i saw the game, i didnt really imagine it being interesting in the tv show since ellie and joel annoy eachother all the time already
Anyone think as prepared as Bill was, it was strange he wasn't wearing a Bulletproof Vest when those Raiders Shot him?
he got out of bed, woulda been too prepared had he one on i am guessing...
@@ciijays5159 Frank was still in bed. Bill was outside already shooting.
Civilian body armor wasn’t really a thing in 2003, when the outbreak took place. There might’ve been some floating around, but it likely was soft body armor. While steel or ceramic body armor can last for 10-15 years if properly cared for, soft armor is closer to 5 if you’re using it. Anything he might’ve had at that point would have been useless by that point anyway.
That's what you noticed?? So you completely didn't see anything strange about Bill standing in the middle of the street with no cover with a fucking bolt action rifle? lol
@@gatling216 I had no idea I thought all body armor was practically the same aside from being heavier or lighter. & I figured with all the weapons he had he raided a gun store or two after the town was abandon.
Seeing Bill and Frank had a better story, here's to hoping for Sam and Henry to have a better outcome.
😅
Maybe with both Henry's and Sam's origins of how they got to the city before meeting Joel and Ellie.
We both know that it's not gonna happen. They're gonna die horribly and we can't stop it no matter how much we want to.
You guys are so stupid, if they change Sam and Henry’s fate it will ruin the show. Their deaths were essential to the games feel
Thats not how the world of The Last of Us works
The story of Bill and Frank is so much different than what I thought I saw coming. An excellent stand alone story.
this would be probably the first time I won't get mad that the story was different from the game. I am straight but the story has warmed my heart. Great episode! Bill was a bad-ass making his town his base while eating good food during an apocalyptic time
As much as I loved the episode, I wish there was a way for them to have incorporated elements of the game as well such as Joel getting caught in one of Bill's traps and hanging upside down, interaction between Ellie and Bill, facing the Bloater in the school gym and the scene where they have to push the car. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Ron Swanson in his natural element and had a smile on my face for almost the entire episode 😀
EP 3 SPOILER (in case for some reason someone decided to read the comments after a video full of spoilers):
The part where Bill giggles after eating a strawberry fucking broke me. It's the ONLY time we ever see/hear Bill express joy in both the game and show.
Nick Offerman did a great job as Bill, awesome episode.
The thing I missed was Ellie meeting Bill. Joel and Bill killing infected together. The whole school scene, Joel hanging upside down, shooting infected. Basically the whole action packed part of the game!
Same but tbh i couldnt imagine it in the series to last for more than 5 minutes. them shooting the infected, ellie and bill swearing at eachother would be fun for a moment and im sure we will get all that in the upcoming episodes. i like how they told bills story without putting some annoying filler in our mouths forcefully.
Wokeness is more important to show than good story or action. Didn't you know that? You have to submit to the woke ideology or be cancelled
Yeah let's not kid ourselves. The producer was on a budget these past couple episodes. Did y'all REALLY think they were gonna follow the story best by beat?? Lol 😅🤣😆😆😆
@@michael2134c they vacated an entire neighborhood. I think they could have afforded to have Joel creep around some old warehouses.
@@michael2134c If budget was an issue then why made the show at all?
An absolutely INCREDIBLE episode!! Amazing writing and heartbreaking acting!! #thelastofus
Nick offerman deserved to be in more than 1 episode… wanted to see him killing infected like in the game
I'm not ready for the Sam, and henry portion I'm gonna break.
God it's gonna be so much worse, I already know it...
The wine they share is a red Bourgogne called Couvent des Jacobins from the French producer Louis Jadot. And it is excellent.
I love that Nick Offerman plays Bill. Bill literally the same person as Ron Swanson 🙌🏽
Kinda crazy how this comes out the day after Annie Wersching (Tess) passed away. She was a fantastic actress. She will be missed.
This episode wrecked me. Like, WRECKED me! I was just a puddle of tears. Even when Ellie was reading the note, and it said that they opened the window so that the house wouldnt smell.... even that small, seemingly inconsquential line spoke to the love that they had for their life together, and the home where their love grew.
Genuinely, one of the best episodes of television EVER!
Bill and franks show story > game story
I’ll say I wasn’t initially expecting this episode to be this way but HOLY MOLY.
What a beautiful piece of tv
No.
It was really drawn out and forced in, especially since it replaced the awesome level with Joel+Ellie and Bill.
The game's story didn't need to drag out Bill's origin, it gave enough subtle hints and dialogue to make it count.
@@spider-man500 lol, you’re in the minority bro
@@spider-man500 It wasn't forced, it fits into one of the core themes of the game, moreso than the sequence in the game itself.
Is it better? not necessarily, it just fits better in the show. Just as the whole fetching sequence fits better into the actual game.
@@mattcollins3591 Episode was trash, this was not TLOU, it was woke garbage propaganda.
@NatoHoro OK DeSantis 👍
I believe that Ellie asking about if the pandemic was due to monkeys is due to an old TLOU theory that monkeys ate infected insects, and then transmitted it to people.
It might just be a reference to 28 Days Later
,,maybe in all that research they turned into fucking monkeys” lol
Ehh, stuff like Swine flu, Ebola, Avian Flu, mad cow disease, etc existed before 2003, wouldn't be surprising if it was.
The Walking dead tried for 10 years to pull off a backstory episode as engaging and gripping as the this 3rd episode of TLU to no avail. Lol this was 🔥🔥🔥
walking dead fell off hard after first 5 seasons , too many characters where killed that the plot afterwards felt irrelevant
Here’s Not Here’ remains in my top 30 tv episode ever, that was like a mini TV movie. But yeah, this episode of TLOU was really amazing

@@guyred2083 is that the episode where Tyrese dies? I was going to comment the same thing but couldn’t remember the name of the episode. That episode definitely hits differently than the rest
@@JBM1428 that was S5 e9 which I also love, but I was referring to the Morgan episode in s6 in which he becomes a pacifist
2 small things I noticed;-
1) The song on the radio at the end of episode 1 seemed to focus on the words "I'm taking a ride with my best friend" which was sent by Bill. It mirrored Bill and Frank dying - Bill was taking a ride with his best friend...
2) If you look carefully at the creeping fungus in the opening credits, there are brown globs of fungus depicting townships of uninfected scattered around the USA.
The space scene is my favorite memory of Joel and Ellie together.
When Ellie stab the clicker's head, it's a homage to Lady Mormont stabbing the giant's head. No? Only me?
I remember when my dad bought me the PS4 with The Last Of Us bundle 8 years ago, first game I've ever played in that console and I got obsessed. Played the whole campaign, DLC, and even investigated the cordiceps fungus. I bought TLOU part 2 and didn't have the same punch as the first part. Saw the first episode of the show and I was happy, I felt like I was watching cutscenes from the game. Props to HBO for following the standard of the game.
Bill and Frank relationship is so precious say what you will about the show but every fan wants to know about bill and Frank love story and they listen to us and we got one!!!!!
The love story was really nice. Very poetic. But the interaction between Ellie and Bill was so good. I can't believe they just killed him off. Disappointment.
So glad everyone loved this episode as much as I did.
This is probably the episode with the biggest change from the game and I really enjoyed it, though I'm not sure if I'd say it was better than the game's version. Yes it's more fleshed out and complete, but the original had more of a focus on gameplay which makes sense, instead of Lincoln being a big, open, safe compound, it was a maze of traps, barricades, and infected. As for Bill and Frank's relationship, the game wanted to focus on what happens when you abandon the idea of companionship, yes, Bill survived longer than Frank, but he's now alone and miserable. They've turned it around in the show where their story is about what happens when you don't abandon it. Both I think are good and serve their purpose for their medium.
I think that this is meant to heavily contrast the end of the game, Bill respected franks wishes to pass, even if he didn't want him to. a certain other character will NOT respect those wishes
@@moopstenEllie didn’t know she was going to be killed.
@@moopsten don't even go there.
@@moopsten not mad at this comment. Joel meant better than his decision
Gonna catch hate for this, but I really don’t think this episode was entirely necessary. When you meet Bill int he game, Frank is already dead. While I understand that some people were curious about the backstory, this seemed way too fleshed out and it took up too much time.
As much as I like the way Frank and Bill were presented in this episode and I really liked it, however, I was upset that we didn’t see Bill handcuff Ellie and her hitting him with the pipe 😂
Anyone else notice the way the episode ended with the image of the window was very similar to the Home Screen of the first game?
Also in the game, Ellie did approach an arcade game system before meeting Bill. She asked Joel if he ever played one but he said he wasn't great at them. She did said a friend of hers was great at it but the game was different.
Saw another video that pointed out the possible reference to Hurricane Katrina via the X's spraypainted by Fedra on "cleared" homes.
Should be noted that Bill's letter is dated August 29th, 2023, which will be the 18th anniversary of said Hurricane making landfall.

I was hoping to see Joel get hung upside down by bills fridge trap and Ellie rushing to fight off infected and cut the trap. That was a fast heart beat moment in the game.
I was so impressed with Nick Offerman’s acting in this…wasnt expecting to cry or fall in love with these characters and their story. It truly was one of the best episodes of a series I’ve seen in a while.
Ellie shoving a gun in her bag is foreshadowing her showdown with David in the dinner and Joel driving the car is foreshadowing him and Ellie getting into a crash and having to fight off the raiders
To me it's like Bill, and frank are completely while Joel, and tess weren't because they had to part ways. And Joel will find that completeness in Ellie in season 1.
Ew
Bill and Frank’s story was the best kind of side plot that turns into a key point emotionally. Without that background, we may end up with a more machine-like drive to the story. What I saw by the end is that will be a long, intricate saga, one that will take turns we don’t see coming, even if we know the video game well.
It was a descent episode with a back story that we don't see in the game. But I think they should have given us some action scenes from Bill's Town from the game, it was such a great chapter. It never gets old watching Bill chopping off infected heads with his machete.
For The Last of Us game set around killing zombies, the show is really trying to stray away from that. I get the directors have a low budget because that what they said, but fans of the games wanted zombie killing not a whole episode set around 2 side characters romance with no zombies. Yes the love between Bill and Frank was beautiful, but it didn't need to be whole episode. The episode complete cut out the town scene where Joel and Ellie meet Bill and the school scene where they showed the bloater, I really wanted to see that in this episode.
agreed! spot on
We all missed it because we were too busy crying into pillows!
Couple of things: 1. Bill also holds a shotgun, Bills mission is the first time in the game you get a Shotgun, given to you by Bill. 2. The Video game Ellie talks about is the same dialogue used in the game subbing out the name of a fake game for Mortal Komat II, This happens in Bills town while searching for supplies before we meet Bill. 3. In the Game its not Ellies first time in a car. In fact she has driven a car or at least knows how to pop a clutch on a standard in one sequence of the game when Bill and Joel are fighting off infected while getting the car started. 4. Bill doesnt die in the game.
don't leave out the first bloater encounter either.
3:51 wait a minute, 'we wonder if we'll see bella ramsey rock something like an Uncharted shirt or a Kill Bill ensemble soon.'
we actually got an Uncharted shirt easter egg in the show by the red and white shirt Ellie wore before changing clothes. the red and white shirt references the same shirt young nathan drake wore in a flashback section of Uncharted 3.
as an Uncharted games fan, i deeply respect the tv show's showrunners for that detail. i tip my hat off to them.
The writers and directors stated that they didn't use spores because it would be too difficult to portray on a show
First Gregor Clegane next up Abby man Pedro pascal can’t catch a break😂😂
The best episode so far. Well written !!! 😭😭😭💓
Beautiful episode
Garbage episode. Too much wokeness. Nasty
If anyone were to survive an apocalypse of course it’s ron god damn swanson!
They really removed the most intense scenes of the game for a love story
Actually the most intense scene was the ending of Joel trying to get Ellie before she gets her head cut open . Still I respect your opinion and I'm sorry you didn't see the episode the same way that I did .
It really broke the show for me. I have very little trust they do even the end justice with how they sidestepped such a worldbuilding section of the game, and flat out botched the Frank suicide note moment. They go from "I hate your guts" to "I-love-you" suicide pact. Joel probably just goes, "nobody deserves a cure, these people suck" and just grabs Ellie then blows up the hospital.
@Brandon Stover I'm sorry after reading all your previous comments . Sorry you couldn't enjoy the show and will most likely not enjoy the remaining episodes . Hopefully you have an easy and wonderful rest of a month .
This show just keeps getting better and better!!
Great episode. Beutifully written and adds so much to the main story making it more real and human, which was not possible on the game!
Never in my entire life think that I would cry for a gay romance, but here I am.
To be honest the show is good but not as The Last of Us. Rather it was more of a love story that was set on a post apocalyptic world. I actually don't have a problem with the relationship of Bill and Frank as it was implied in the game. Definitely a great way to show that love still blooms even if the world is all done. However it strays away on what The Last of Us video game theme is. The video game story tell us how it's more realistic to not trust on anyone and make us feel the true meaning of lost love. In the show Bill and Frank are more romantic and feels like living in a fairy tale world while on the Video game story it was clearly telling you that Bill and Frank have a toxic relationship that leads Bill to think more that humanity sucks because Frank betrays him. But the saddest thing is Frank was bitten and don't want Bill to bear the burden that's why he commited a suicide. I believe it's more painful and sad compared to what the TV show gave us.
Besides the interaction of Bill and Ellie in the game is super fun to watch because it shows that Bill is a grumpy guy with trust issues which is similar to Joel's behaviour.
I was totally fine about episode 3 but totally not for me and I find it the weakest episode compared to episode 2.
The sad thing is if you never love episode 3 people will call you homophobic or will label you as a bigot that hates the show.
I like the episode for what it is but it's definitely not The Last of Us that I know.
Agreed, i was called a homophobic because i wrote almost the same thing you did. What a clown world we live in.
I didn't like the episode for the deviations. I REALLY didn't like the episode for the fact that if I said I didn't like it the first thing someone asked me was if I was homophobic. no. I just like good storytelling, and this wasn't it compared to what would have been.
I feel like Frank actually hated Bill and would have risked his life in the apocalyptic world leaving him than stay with him. How they got here means this director didn't like the game version and retconned it because he doesn't have a co-director to hold him back anymore to keep things actually good.
I am wondering if Joel and Ellie end up becoming better friends, and Joel decides not to part company at their destination. Ellie grabbing a gun may end up her helping Joel at a future point from an attack. The fact that Ellie is immune, they need to find a lab in the city with scientists still alive and develop a cure with her blood. I have never played the game so no insight.
KINDA SPOILER, but in the game she hides a gun that Joel doesn't know she has and someone is trying to kill Joel and she ends up saving his life with that gun.
Also KINDA SPOILER....they do want to use her to make a cure/vaccine whatever but it takes a twist at the end.
Why is Joel such a hardo?
@@Lancevance02 why tf would you post this?
I wish they would stick to the video game material
Episode was so incredibly written, and I definitely cried
Agreed, I would also have cried if I had a heart
I was devastated. 😭 But fulfilled upon the love story of two persons in the aftermath of societal breakdown.
🤢
Gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
incredibly written?!?!?!?! are u kidding me?! it was GARBAGE
a Bass pro shop would be my shop, guns, ammo warm clothing and a lot more
If you asked me few weeks ago I would tell you I don't want the show to deviate from the game at all. I was wrong. I was so wrong. This was so much better than the game and Bill's Town is one of my favorite sections. Masterfully done. Truly adaptation at its finest. Sticks to the theme and world of the game and expands it. Just wow.
It was trash.
@@NatoHoro opinions are like assholes. We all have them.
Gotta love the people in the comments hating the adaptation and complaining about Bill being gay. Guess they were a little too dense to realize that he actually was gay in the game too.
Nah, we just didn't need a washed-out love story that's been done thousands of times before and preferred the action and worldbuilding scenes in the game that treat us intelligently through inference. Not having a trap building montage or scenes where the actors have to look at each other and say "awhhh did you poison yourself too? ohmygosh" treating the viewer like they're ten throughout the whole episode. Not only that, but this heartbreak will be redundant has potentially already spoiled Sam's fate, and the wow factor of Ellie being lesbian after-all lost its charm because they've done such a big showcase on two side-characters that did nothing to advance the plot... How this passed as good TV really says something about how bad everything else on TV must be...
I think the game Frank was intentionally using those words because otherwise ̶R̶̶̶o̶̶n̶ Bill would find that too chummy
One open store I would love to have all to my self is the comic book store. I wish Bill was alive so Elia would have give him a hard time lol
i was 50 50 on the ep3... i played the last of us over 100 times (no joking) lol was really hoping that the school scene would have happen. HBO way was to long of a filler, (my opinion) wish they did a little more action. over all it was good ep!! cant wait to see more!!
I respect your opinion even though I quite enjoyed the episode with very little action to it and how I thought it was well thought out story.
I was really looking forward to the school scene (and terrified of that damn Bloater!) But I loved what we got ❤
@@proudbeanerii3810 Thought out yes!! over all they are sticking to the game so i hope there not to much change!
@@BethGoth15 O GOD YESSS!! That would been cool to see how HBO would have done the CGI or something else. Like i told Pround Beaner II, i hope they dont change to much of story.
@NightRoseWolf There's a lot of change .
How is it possible to make a Series better than my favourite game ?
it may just be me but literally the moment I saw him and this played out I thought of Ron Swanson & Dwight Schrute.
I did the the artwork of ‘Frank’ for episode 3! I’m on IG where I’ll post more
Excellent work!
Well if they kill off a character that doesn't die in the game, can or will they unkill a character that does!? 🤞🤞 Who am I kidding.....
God please.
If they decide to make THIS change, but refuse to make THAT change, then wtf?
⚠️Warning: TMI⚠️
What a story. Every last one of the plot devices in this episode worked! How Bill grew attached to Frank's rizz after 4 years of isolation. They're clash with their differing personalities manifesting after 3 years of being together. Bill openly not trusting Tess or Joel but still letting them in their home out of consideration for Frank's feelings. Joel making good points regarding industrial-related topics since he was a former construction worker before the outbreak. That fact convincing Bill to trade with them and thus sealing their almost-friend relationship. The 80's radio codes from episode 1 being tied to Tess and Frank's convo. The well fleshed out story that led to their decision to pass away together becoming fulfilling instead of pitiful. And that last letter Bill wrote for Joel, which further solidified his purpose and pushed the story going forward. I'm rambling at this point but I've never been this interested in a story since Squid Game came out so don't mind me, I'm just unpacking emotional baggage in these essays.
Troy Baker:"Sweet J-s!"🤦♂️
They didn't have to recharge the battery in the game. The truck had a manual transmission & they popped the clutch which requires no battery.
I missed a lot because I was sobbing 😭
I’d definitely like to be in a bass pro shops or Cabela’s.
