Most beautiful episode of any show I've ever watched. Beautifully constructed with care and passion. Murray was phenomenal, but Nick made me cry. His acting gave me chills.
What a great comment, that's awesome because I've sadly seen many comments on other posts by many people showing their homophobia as opposed to seeing it for what it was just a love story.

Great questions from the interviewer! This episode was the happiest yet simultaneously most tragic piece of media I’ve ever watched. Truly impressive writing to flesh out two characters in such a way in a single episode.
This episode was one of the most beautiful pieces of art I've ever watched. Stunning. "Before you I wasn't afraid." This small line has such heavy and exquisite meaning. Flawless.
This episode was NOT what i expected, i was moved to tears... it was terrifying, beautiful and deeply romantic. much like a tragic opera. LOVED IT. More please.
This episode stuck with me and will forever stick with me. It was the embodiment of bittersweet. You didn’t want their story to end, but you knew for them to stay happy and content, that it needed to end. Such beautiful performances by both of them, they fully are their characters and I could never think I fav the actors anybody but these characters while they were on screen. This episode was so painful but so enjoyable. The best one so far.
I'm so glad he mentioned the way he drank that glass of wine! Through out their last day I had a suspicion that he wouldn't let his lover leave alone but the moment he downed his glass I knew what he'd done. Incredible performance and attention to detail. It was not only a delicious indulgence for the actor, but for the viewer as well. It was simply perfect.
Just give these guys all the awards. It's crazy that you could pick a character like Bill from the games, and subvert expectations in such a beautiful way. If this wasn't the most delicate and heartfelt episode of TV ever, I might have been disappointed that Ellie and Bill never met. @@marccardiff I think it would be a victory that they would share with eachother, albeit not on an official level. And yeah, Offerman winning makes sense. He also had more of a transformation on screen. Bill's journey from lonely survivalist to man capable of putting his partner first was great to watch. He depicted his vulnerability so well.
The amount I cried watching this episode was the most I've cried in years. What absolutely incredible writing and acting. The whole time I knew it would end in tragedy because of the game but even that knowledge couldn't prepare me for the deep, deep emotions I felt watching the story unfold and told in such beautiful new detail. The nuance and respect and the facets of humanity and loss that they portrayed in this episode was absolutely beautiful and well crafted. I cried so much. Their cloistered world against the apocalyptic backdrop makes their reality much more stark, makes their lives that much more precious.
They did a really awesome job, showing the love that Bill and Frank had. For me, I think it was a happy ending. We will eventually die but who can say they found their true soulmate and die in their own terms peacefully in each loving arms. I was holding my tears and doing such great job, till the window scene with the music. I was completely a mess.

That phrase has been honored in every aspect of the show. They chose two of the most amazing actors for their age (Ellie and Sarah) for the cast changes that some game fans disliked, with Sarah bringing the first tears. OMG these two!!! Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett just go on to show in this interview why their chemistry worked so well on-screen, the way they riff off of each other during the "package" and "grandiosity" comments, they were meant to be Bill and Frank. Most amazing casting choice I have seen in the recent times and the episode did absolute justice to the brilliance of these two phenomenal actors on-screen. This was Screen Gold!!!
I so loved this episode, so much better than the way Frank was portrayed in the game, this was so much better. I am so loving the way the game characters are getting lives in this series, seeing Bill's life with Frank . Such a touching episode, I can't praise enough how well each episode is done. Really giving all the feels indeed.
I cried, my girlfriend cried. Talked about this episode with a buddy of mine, and my gfs mom, they both cried. If Nick Offerman doesn't get an Emmy, the Emmies are wrong.

I’m a huge fan of the game and was curious what the take was going going to be with the murray and frank situation, I feel it payed off far more than I’d hoped for, Truely incredible storytelling.
Truly the most beautiful love story I’ve ever seen. A job well done by all. I didn’t think they’d be able to make me like anything in the show better than the game, but they did. I loved this version of Bill and Frank’s story so much better than the game and I’m so glad for it.
An incredible episode that was unexpected for me. Love Nick Offerman, Murray compliments him and vice versa. I was blown away by their amazing storytelling, emotional performance that left me wanting MORE, MORE, MORE!! They better get awards for this!
I recently found out from a Seth Rudetsky video that he was the one who suggested "Long Long Time" to Craig Mazin, who is a very good friend. Go check out Seth's video where he breaks down 'Long Long Time'. He's just a great person to learn from about music and especially musical theater.
I loved the first two episodes and as a player of the game was totally side swiped by this episode but in a good way. It was beautiful, moving and totally unexpected. It just goes to show that you shouldn’t be judged by who you love but more so by your ability to love.
Bill and Frank got a happy ending. People cry over this episode but it is ultimately a happy love story above anything else. They loved each other, they took care of each other, they lived many years together, they grew old together, they died peacefully in each other's arms. Virtually no one gets all of that in life and too few experience even a fraction of that.
When I realized that the music when Bill pushes Frank in the wheelchair into the bedroom is the music from the giraffe scenes from TLOU Part1, that really killed me. What an incredible episode.
"On The Nature Of Daylight" and was also used in the begging and end of the movie Arrival and only know that because I just so happened to watch arrival last night and was like oh shit that same theme was used just on the last of us
I watched all 3 episodes today, and I cried seeing these two men act simply out of a real love connection. Thank you Nick and Murray for making this so real and beautiful...love to you both
Frank growing the strawberries and seeing his pride and joy when he showed Bill was so damn sweet. Bill's delight at eating one, and the way he looks at Frank after is just some of the most wholesome stuff ever. Like Frank was excited to grow them and show Bill, and you could tell Bill was really touched by it. It's really the little things that mean so SO much to people.

Lmao of course it’s better than the way Frank was portrayed. It’s not that hard to portray him better than a smoldering skeleton
😊
Agreed this is perfect for TV format. I understand why they did it differently in the game
😭😭🍓🍓💕💓💕💓💕
@@ethanharmer5151 sure but the note frank left in the game was super flat and one note considering they were lovers
One of the greatest episode of television I have seen that will go down in history
Amazing job!!!
I cried, my girlfriend cried. Talked about this episode with a buddy of mine, and my gfs mom, they both cried.
If Nick Offerman doesn't get an Emmy, the Emmies are wrong.
😭😭🍓🍓😍😍💕🥺💕💕❤️
It's a massive stretch from what we are used to seeing from him, it feels pretty locked in, in spite of how early in the year it is.
They're not getting an Emmy for playing only 1 episode in a series. C'mon let's be real here
@@midgetporn9735 I guess the guest actor category doesn't exist anymore
nothing in television is better than when 2 actors and a fantastic casting director understand the assignment from start to finish...
i absolutely adored this episode, what a masterpiece!!! this interview was great too, i'm so happy to hear more about their takes on these characters and their relarionship.
This episode broke me, especially the ending. so good.
The love that was shared in this episode was something else. Bravo Gentlemen!
If Nick Offerman doesn't win an Emmy it's a robbery
One of the most beautiful episodes of television ever.
Notice Murray speaking in Frank's voice at 6:46. It's such a swoop back down under. What a raw, honest, beautiful interview with two amazing artists.
This was movie-level storytelling and acting. Just WOW.
A beautiful story. It caught me off guard. Bartlett and Offerman were outstanding.
Thank you Nick and Murray for making this so real and beautiful...love to you both
My partner and I were a snotty, snotty mess. Will be looking back on this moment in television for a very long time, just beautiful.
Absolutely amazing performances by both actors. Such a beautiful hour of television.
This is what you get when you respect the source material, and even improve on it. 10/10 this series so far.
They should both be getting Emmy's and Golden Globe awards. Its the best acting ive ever seen.

That episode was so brilliant! I loved how they used the Linda Ronstadt song, it was perfect! :)
What an episode!! Thank you both for the amazing and wonderful performance you gave us
These two were amazing! 🥺👏🏻👏🏻💯🤍
This was so beautiful, I swear I never cried so much because of a tv show 😭
Absolutely brilliant and beautiful episode ❤
beautiful performances. so moving and loving. they deserve golden globes the both of em.
this episode was so beautifully made and so emotional i cant believe how well they pulled it off just expanding into a side character and his dead partner
I was just left speechless. Masterpiece. Amazing performances.
Great interview! That is one of my favorite episodes!
Beautiful episode, it's like a standalone movie.
What a great interview. Great questions and great guests! I got teary-eyed just listening to them talk about this amazing episode. I’ve never seen anything like it. It was so beautiful! these two actors are world class!
I was sobbing like a baby multiple times and it actually is a rare thing that movies/tv shows make me cry. :D
What a nice presentation of a love story.
This episode had me crying so much, I feel satisfied. Thank you thank thank you
Hahaha these two has great chemistry. You both deserve to get an award as Best Actors. They need a RomCom movie and i surely watch!
They both deserve an Emmy Award for episode 3 because that was some seriously amazing acting.
They bloody killed it. This movie within a series hit me out of nowhere. ❤
I've been crying with every reaction video I've seen of the episode since yesterday, it was such a punch in the feels, but so beautiful, I couldn't have asked for such an amazingly bitter sweet ending 😭💖
Bill and Frank had AIDS. They were the real monsters of this series.
@@barrysuss4421 I mean, Frank had Parkinson's, but go off, I guess 🤣
Great interview. The interviewer did an amazing job, deep, well-thought out questions which have not been explored before in other interviews. Bravo! 👏
