I feel like this show is going to be really emotional. I am super happy that they went with realistic looking characters that aren’t canon to the game but more canon to irl and not “Hollywood beauty standard” and they focused more on the actors and their talents and how they closely resemble the connection Ellie and Joel had in the game and from this interview you can already tell they have a close bond without even seeing the show yet. I am truly excited

After watching 2 episodes, I'm glad to say the show is great. Sarah was easily my favorite character as they gave her a decent amount more screen time than was in the game. Not to say Sarah in the game was bad, but it was nice to see her character fleshed out a bit more in the show. I really couldn't get used to Ellie in the show though. She did a great job, but just not "Ellie"
So great to see videos/interviews that explore the themes and feelings and perspectives of the characters instead of "just" the story. Character is what drives story and the complexity of the characters, their dichotomies, them fighting their attachments (both Joel and Ellie fight it) and finally accepting that the attachment IS there is fascinating to watch and very wonderful to see the thoughts the actors and other creators have around the why and how they do the things that build the story.
Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are fantastic! And Bella, for those who have negative comments about you, don’t listen to them. You are just great and very good at playing the role
Even though they don't look like the characters I've been playing since Day One of this video game series, I still have hope for them as actor/performers. Ellie is played by a wonderful actress from the GOT series and she did a fantastic job and so did Joel from the same series. I wished he had more air time because IMO he died too quickly. For these two reasons this TLOU series gives me hope.

Many people, such as myself, had no idea "the game" even exists, so the idea that these actors do not closely resemble the game characters is a moot point. From what little I've seen of "The Walking Dead" comic books, some of the actors in the show did not look much like their counterparts in the comic books, and that show lasted 10 years.

At least showrunners didn't ruin like other shows (e.g. almost all other game adaptions) but I am not sure if someone who didn’t play the game would like it as I do. Also this same story was told again and again too may times on so many platforms, this feels like they want to make money only. I don't think there is passion anymore. I see laziness here. I am sorry.
