I met her in 2015. I was one of the mormont soldiers in season 5 of game of thrones. I was sitting beside her with my buddy Kieran in the scene Jon snow was made king in the north. In between takes she would talk to us and make up our fantasy names in the game of thrones universe, it was very sweet.

I feel like such a proud mom, even though I’ve never met this girl, but I’ve loved her since her first moment on Game of Thrones. She is forever our badass baby bear, and we will support her no matter where she goes.
The amount of harassment and hate she's gotten recently is so unnecessary. She's so quick witted and obviously talented it's unreal. Seems as though she's anxious about it all, seeing as she had a fidget toy in her hand during this interview and honestly, I would be too. She has great mannerisms, a great attitude, and just a great sense of humour. She doesn't deserve any of the hate she's getting. The true embodiment of Ellie, I can't wait to see her performance!

Because they "don't look like Ellie" and everyone saying that they wouldn't be capable of pulling off Ellie's character. Which, I think she's done absolutely brilliant at. People are just childish, expecting them to find someone who looks EXACTLY like Ellie. Bella is fantastic as her.

This post is a little old but we just finished watching the first season of last of us on HBO. Bella does a fantastic job, and is a great actress. On the other hand. I was a bit taken back by bella vs. in Game Ellie. I played both the last of us and the last of us 2. I also watched the making of the game. Ashley johnson and troy baker who plays joel. Behind the scenes in the making of the game had me in tears. These two deserved an oscar for their performances. I guess I kinda wished they would've casted Ashley as Ellie because she literally lived it. Troy does great also but Pedro looks almost exactly like Joel, so theres that. I'm a little disappointed in Bella's casting but she fits Ellies character perfectly. Is what it is. Looking forward to season 2. And the release of Last of us 3!!
@Mnxe I just finished the last episode, I remember the hate around their casting. Bella was absolutely brilliant, I can't see anyone else doing it better than them even if they're not exactly like the Ellie in the game.

Ok, I've known she's a fabulous actor for a while, but that moment when Kimmel says "My mom has never said 'you die"" and her immediate, off the cuff, reply was "There's still time," that was the moment I fell in love with her. That sense of humor is perfect.
The show hasn’t even come out yet and a lot of people on the internet are already being weird about her. I hope she stays away from social media. she’s amazing.

Having seen the first 6 episodes of THE LAST OF US . I will say without a shadow of doubt . Bella played the part of Ellie absolutely superbly.... not only is she an extremely gifted young actress...she is also able to deliver the funny moments perfectly👌 , her delivery and timing are fantastic👌....and as we've seen in this interview she is just a lovely young lady . I wish her all the very best in her career to come ❤️

They shot the bulk of it here in Calgary and there were various road closures here and there for MONTHS as they dressed buildings, streets, and cars to look post-apocalyptic. The local media took PLENTY of pics and it all looked AMAZING. It's gonna be fun trying to pick out which scenes were shot where, once this thing debuts :)

I still remember that black castle battle vividly. That moment when she heroically died and slayed the giant, I cried out of respect. I know it's fictional but the depth and humane part just make you transcend the screen and take a glimpse of human nature. How is it not legit?

Such a fine young lady. Its so great to see this cheerful and open a person in this day and age. I actually have a cousin sister who is sort of like this. Extremely smart and talented singer, so it really makes me happy to see her attitude.

What I've come to realise is that nearly all of the cast members from GoT are absolutely adorable in interviews - genuine, charming and funny.

I remember playing the piano back then when I was 9/10 and I had the exact same fear, I didn't know what I was doing, it just felt natural to me and I thought that if I actually tried to do it "on purpose" it just wouldn't work out. I always thought it was just a weird thing to think about, but I am glad that I'm not the only one that got through it.

The game was basically a 20 hour long movie (in a good way), extremely moving and probably my favorite gaming experience of 2014 when it came out. In fact I'm so faithful to the characters that it's kinda off putting to see other people play the parts of these characters, especially when they kinda don't look like them.
That being said, she seems really bright and super cool and from what I've seen and heard, they probably did an amazing job on this recreation.

i was kind of hesitant about this adaptation because i'm so attached to the characters in the game, but seeing bella i think it could be great. it doesn't need to be exactly like the games, i'd prefer it wasn't, makes it easier to separate the two so they're not in competition with each other, just two similar things that can exist at the same time.
Playing a badass in Game of Thrones is rather a nice start to have on your acting reel. I can see her solidifying a long career and having quite a few awards along the way.
It seems that the people bitching about Ellie would rather prioritize having someone that looks like Ellie who is an animated character than someone that embodies who she truly is which isn't based on looks and Bella is proving it by bringing this character to life in a live action format. She's doing a brilliant job.
I not a gamer either. But like Bella, I also watched on YT all the gameplay of The Last of Us (I don't mind the spoilers) after I knew she would be part of the show and I can't wait to see her version of Ellie. I am a big fan of this girl. She is a great actress.
