Season 7 and the first couple episodes of 8 were just alright and, had they ended at that same "meh it's alright" quality, people wouldn't consider the entire show ruined. Dexter is an example of that. It had a "meh" final season and a bad finale, but that ruin the rest of the show.

Like imagine being asked and telling them a funny story and while you're all cracking up the moderator would yell ok next! It killed the vibe. They really should've given this longer time if not, they shouldn't have invited all 9

The main course is amazing to the point you're telling all your friends this is the best steak you've ever had (Or whatever your fav food is), but then at the end you order some type of dessert and its just disappointing. Not the worst dessert you've ever, but definitely not what you were expecting and it just didn't match the rest of your meal - well then you still had an amazing meal. You're just choosing to focus on how underwhelmed you were with your dessert. That's how you're looking at the show, and that's all on you. The Double D's rushed and ruined the 8th season, but they still gave us incredible entertainment over the years previous.
A really bad ending can be devastating. It can ruin all of the great seasons that came before bc you remember how the characters were butchered. I know I have a hard time rewatching the series bc of its ending. 🤷♀️

These types of interviews seem so performative to the audience compared to the authentic 1-on-1 Zoom interviews we've gotten used to now. It just feels so phony and insincere.

I've rewatched Season 8 twice since the original airing. Its not as bad as I remember. It's not at the level of prior seasons, but I wouldn't say it's ruined. The events themselves, I see it. The story points, they fit, but they didn't do it right. You can tell the writers were in over their heads with the material.
What did you like ? The amazing dialogues of John snow , "I dunt want it " , "she is maah queen" or the intellectual exchange between Tyrion and Qyburn or Main villain Cersie staring out of window ?
Right like I believe whete everyone ended up but it's how they got there. They rushed it so terribly. If they gave it a couple more episodes or maybe a couple 2 hours episodes to flesh it out better...idk

I used to wonder why Emilia didn't join the other casts on interviews and talk shows. I'm thinking maybe they're giving more exposure to other actors, but more possibly because she has a large pay, so large that it's worth these many actors.
@@henrietta9206 how is it rude? Emilia Clarke is literally the biggest actor to come out of the show. Some of the cast members are Cast B/C, while Emilia is one of the lead stars of the show.
You're not wrong. She was the face of the show and the biggest star to come out of it. I think it has more to do with that than anything pay related tbh. If she was in this interview for instance, most of the attention would have naturally gone to her, simply because her presence and charismatic personality just sort of demand it. So it's likely about giving the lesser-known actors the spotlight. Emilia, Kit, Lena, Peter are not here. Or it could just be shooting schedules.
Not only the last season, but as soon as the source material ran out, sometime early season 5, the quality started to dip. Season 8 was just the worst.

I've rewatched Season 8 twice since the original airing. Its not as bad as I remember. It's not at the level of prior seasons, but I wouldn't say it's ruined. The events themselves, I see it. The story points, they fit, but they didn't do it right. You can tell the writers were in over their heads with the material.
What did you like ? The amazing dialogues of John snow , "I dunt want it " , "she is maah queen" or the intellectual exchange between Tyrion and Qyburn or Main villain Cersie staring out of window ?
Right like I believe whete everyone ended up but it's how they got there. They rushed it so terribly. If they gave it a couple more episodes or maybe a couple 2 hours episodes to flesh it out better...idk
Same, I didn’t hate it from the start and my sister just ended watching game of thrones and she acc liked the 8th season. That’s probably because we were praying on daenerys and jons downfall
On my 2nd rematch, when I originally watched the show last year, I was thinking why tf didn't I watch GOT sooner.

I used to wonder why Emilia didn't join the other casts on interviews and talk shows. I'm thinking maybe they're giving more exposure to other actors, but more possibly because she has a large pay, so large that it's worth these many actors.
She also casts a big shadow, she is very well known.

@@henrietta9206 how is it rude? Emilia Clarke is literally the biggest actor to come out of the show. Some of the cast members are Cast B/C, while Emilia is one of the lead stars of the show.
You're not wrong. She was the face of the show and the biggest star to come out of it. I think it has more to do with that than anything pay related tbh. If she was in this interview for instance, most of the attention would have naturally gone to her, simply because her presence and charismatic personality just sort of demand it. So it's likely about giving the lesser-known actors the spotlight. Emilia, Kit, Lena, Peter are not here. Or it could just be shooting schedules.

Not only the last season, but as soon as the source material ran out, sometime early season 5, the quality started to dip. Season 8 was just the worst.
