Hearing the original Ellie’s voice playing her mother on the show was perfectly executed
and her passing the knife to new ellie like a passing of the torch was great

Favorite game of all time. Pretty good adaption. Some changes I didn’t really care for but I think they did a good job all around. Just wait for that twist when the first episode of season 2 drops 😉
I did really like seeing the Danny and Ish drawing. Hit me right in the feels.
The most obscure Easter Egg I found was when Ellie sneaks up on David, the soundtrack plays the Enemy Alert humming sound from the game.
Laura Bailey, Abby's VA in the second game also played one of the nurses in the last episode. Fitting because Abby's father was the surgeon Joel shot.
Even better, she was that nurse in the first game
For #1 it's unfortunate that Tess didn't get the same sort of cameo considering that her original actress, Annie Wersching passed away from cancer on the same day that Episode 3 aired.

How does Dina looking at Ellie, while Joel and Tommy are talking, not make the list?! It doesn’t say her name, but it’s implied that it’s her
In the second game, Dina actually tells Ellie about the first time she saw her, about how she was stuffing her face and putting bacon in her pockets
My favourite Eater Egg in the show was when they entered a hotel in one of the first episodes and played that piano audio cue.
I was instantly alert!
Also Laura Bailey's sneaky cameo in the last episode
I just love that this fight for survival allowed us to collectively love puns.
I was hoping they would show Danny and Ish’s story as a quick flashback.

Why are the pages stuck together when ellie is in the back of bills truck ! Made me laugh, glad they included it
There's also the scene in Episode 6 when they're in the cafeteria/restaurant and Ellie says "What you looking at?" to the girl observing them. Some people think that might have been Dina from the second game. Kind of an Easter egg

it was really cool to see game voice actors played important roles while something new.
I still can't figure out the significance of Joel's Pocket Knife that Sarah was examining unless its a reference to objects you observe & examine in the house at the beginning of the game when you play as Sarah.

These Easter eggs were definitely unexpected. Nonetheless, it still delivered to our standards.

I wish episodes 8 & 9 would have been longer. Episode 4 just felt unnecessary and that screen time could have extended the last two episodes which to me are important episodes.

Very, very small easter egg that I noticed was in the episode Kin. When Joel and Ellie first notice Maria and her gang ride over the hill towards them you hear the dinging noise from the game when it prompts you to look at something important

Why is everybody saying this is the season finale if it has 10 episodes and they only aired 9?! It doesn’t make sense! There’s one episode left! 🤨
I'm pritty sure they edited the first 2 episodes together to make one big one so ended up only being 9 episodes

The fact that we have an astronot whose name is derivative of the 1965 rock song Mustang Sally just goes to show how fictional our world news is. It's full of puns. The Control System fancies itself a comedian.
i love the game, the show is pretty good. they put way to much woke fluff in it tho. there was no need for that at all, the story is awesome as is.
