Bonus Fact: Making the prologue was incredibly emotional time in the production period for the crew and especially Troy Baker. Neil Druckmann had asked him to reshoot the scene in the prologue where Sarah dies and, to put it lightly, he was NOT happy about it. On the Gamefaqs article interviewing Druckmann, Baker stated that having to reshoot the prologue was "The second most difficult day of (his) life", and that he really, *REALLY* didn't want to do it. Druckmann also stated in the article that during the production one of the sound designers watching the scene had to step out of the office and cry for a while outside. What a powerful scene it was though and it made me tear up a bit as well.

June 14, 2013. Damn, feels like it was just yesterday. I remember my brother called me to his room in an upset tone. I thought I was in trouble for something. I was nervous af. When I got to his room, he just stared at me for a good 5 seconds, then smiled and whipped out this game. Best birthday gift ever

Abby instead of Tess, bent on revenge for what Joel did, and that gave them the ”justification” they wanted.
The soundtrack for The Last of Us is so atmospheric, it adds another level of depth.

Bought the game about a week ago, and I finished it today. I have never beaten a game so fast in my life before! Great game. Only two things I hate:
1. How I'm limited to carrying supplies. It would suck when I would be max with bullets, but then after a big fight I have very little bullets left, and I can't go back to get the ones I couldn't carry.
2. My sleeping schedule is so messed up form this game. It's currently 2:30 am and I have to be up at 8 am. LOL

This is the only game I can talk about without saying "they should of" because they have. They made it the best game.
I'm honestly horrified for the next game. The first one was so amazing and I loved how the main topic was love and connections. After hearing it being about hatred, it scares me a little, maybe because I loved Joel and Ellie's connection so much, and I don't want to lose it. Especially after the end, when Joes lies to Ellie to keep her alive. It was definitely a lead up to the second game and I'm nervous it might ruin their relationship, or at least not go over very well between them (if Joel is still alive). It's literally been so many years and it's still such an amazing game. I'm excited yet so nervous
The last of us Live show added to the ending of the first game, as this video shows, but what this video doesn't say is, Joel playing the guitar for Ellie, which makes her cry, and then giving it to her and telling a really bad joke to her completely patches up their relationship.

It’s funny how so many people pretended to like the game but fail to realize that as feisty and hopeful as Ellie was after discovering her immunity the events that transpired during the course of the game not only the things she was forced to do but also the things she witnessed during your time playing as Joel would cause irreparable damage to her and her perspective of life. I am personally still excited to play the game and I expect to be heartbroken that’s what I love about the game there are no happy endings the realism motivates you to ignore your naïveté and accept the world as it is

I remember my old PS3 broke right when the game came out, and for Christmas my parents bought a new PS3 with The Last of Us inside. Back then I wasn't into anything scary or creepy, but I did love zombie apocalypse games (how does that work?!). My parents told me not to play the game because of the swear words, and there might be something inappropriate so I had to wait for my older brother to finish the game to confirm that it was only swear words (I was only 8 years old at the time). There was one scene where Ellie had stolen a magazine from Bill and she says some dirty things, but my parents didn't think I'd understand them so they let me play. I was amazed by the story and played for hours straight looking for supplies, guns, and easter eggs throughout the game. I did know there was one scene with a bloater (it was not at the school in Bill's town). Where Ellie and Joel end up spitting in a hotel, you have to swim around to meet back with Ellie. You need to find a keycard to open a door but before opening it, you have to turn on the power using a generator. When you turn on the power, Stalkers come running, but if you're on a difficulty higher than Easy (and me being a little kids, I was on Easy), you will find a bloater. The first time I did it, I grabbed the keycard, turned on the power, and just ran for my life. I found out that there was no bloater on Easy and was really pissed off. Before I made it to Winter where you played as Ellie, I didn't want to play as Joel because Ellie was a badass. I got my wish when I came to that part of the game. I still have the game and a PS3, and I finished the game again (on normal) just a month ago. I couldn't help but feel these weird emotions that kept me thinking. My boyfriend kept looking at me and asking if I was ok because I was thinking so much that I didn't speak to him like I usually do.

I think it’s mostly not a good term because of the stereotype behind it, TLOU’s runners are more than just ‘zombies’. There’s so much depth for them to just be called zombies

@@reemyziz Agreed. Most of the Zombie stereotypes involve "reanimation through unnatural means", whereas the infected from the Last of Us haven't been reanimated. They've just been mutated and kept alive through a parasite. True some of the behavior in the games might seem like Zombie behavior, but that doesn't automatically make them Zombies.

One thing I found really cool, among other things ofcourse was the scene where ellie tells joel about a dream she had and that she was flying on an airplane. Right after the conversation, once you turn around as joel, there is a picture of an airplane on a bus. I thought that was really cool and just put a smile on my face.
The amount of details and work put into this story gives me goosebumps. I really hope Part II will be worthy as a sequel to this.

Another small thing I noticed after playing the game a butt ton of times is at the start of the game when Sarah gets out of bed to look for her Joel she says "Where the *hell* are you?" and in the Winter chapter when Joel gets up to look for Ellie he whispers "Where the *hell* are you" the same way Sarah does.

Another small detail that hints at some humanity still existing in the infected is when you hit them and they stumble back, sometimes they'll say "No" or "Please". It doesnt happen often but its damn terrifying

don’t know if this has been commented already, but in Sarah’s room the is a certificate saying Sarah Miller.
You can see Joel and Sarah's last name in the opening playable scene starting with Sarah getting up. In her room you can look at a certification/document (don't know the exact word, I'm german) on her wall on which you can read their last name. You may have to use the Photo Mode

And now the entire plot of Part II stems from Joel killing that one guy? That's the laziest writing I've ever heard of
i’m not trying to argue, just want to know your reasoning why. because the last arc of the first game followed this premise. Joel tore through the fireflies to get Ellie. so why wouldn’t someone avenge their father in a similar manner?

I also noticed that when you throw a brick or bottle at a clicker and they are stunned for a bit. They scream out sometimes and it sounds like a regular person screaming kinda. It’s like there’s still a little piece of human left in them. I just recently noticed this. I think you can hear it better if you shoot them once in the head and blow off some of there fungal armor on there face. I have fun messing with the enemies and infected on this game because I’ve played the main story 10 times thru easy. And since I have the remastered version I’ve played left behind 5 times thru or more. I’ve earned all the trophy’s in left behind. Here lately I’ve been playing rise of the tomb raider 20th anniversary. It definitely looks like uncharted has pulled some stuff from tomb raider. Tomb raider is of course a game that’s older than uncharted by like 10 years. And is a pioneer for adventure games etc.
now that i learned that joel was to sing all i could think is he singing back down playing the guitar like Ben the father cow from back at the barnyard
