Saints Row 2 will FOREVER be my favourite, then again, I no longer enjoy the franchise because of the drastic changes made in Future Games, I would hardly call them Saints Row games, I guess they wanted to alter the established formula of Saints Row 1 & 2, so as to differentiate Saints Row from Grand Theft Auto, since Saints Row was compared to GTA a lot.

I prefer the first 2 games, they were silly but not too over the top. Besides, being too silly undermines serious moments. I think Gat's "death" didn't have nearly as much impact as what happened to Carlos.

Saints row the third is my favourite in the series. So many hilarious and epic soundtrack moments. I played with the female voice #1 (Laura Bailey) and the dialogues and delivery were just epic. It's a shame it was so short.
My favourite voice actors out of all of them were Laura Bailey, she just does such a good job.

I'm my opinion the best Saints Row game is SR2 followed by SRIV. It mostly came down to customization, world, story, and fun. That and I really love the Ronin. Just kind of wish they placed SRIV in a more interesting city because Steelport is boring.
Frag Grrl I've heard people argue that in SR4 it didn't matter that it was set in a boring city because SR4 is a really fast paced game so you hardly get to look at the environment around you.
More like you have a super run that makes the whole city a burr and the campaign was short and easy.
It's a sandbox game. A sandbox game where part of it was collecting stuff and destroying. It's the same city in SR3 and you think they would make improvements like how they did between SR1 and SR2, but no. It's all subjective, but idk... The driving and car customization was improved, but suffered because of both the city and the powers made car travel useless. A lot of interesting structures were removed for these jumping towers
But here the thing. I like how Volition did Seoul and New Hades. However the reason they need to remember why people like SR2's city Stilwater is that each part of the city was different, there where buildings you could go in, easter eggs you could discover, people doing tons of different things, and it was interactive. It was something worth putting the story aside to explore.

4 is definitely my favorite. The amount of freedom, fun and laughs I get outta that game is hard to find elsewhere

My 6 year old nephew was the one to introduce me to the Saint's Row series.
I love all 4 games, but 2 is my personal favorite. It had a great balance of wackiness and seriousness.
It had the liveliest, most unique open world.
It had the deepest customization.
An amazing soundtrack with a lot of variety.
The best enemy gangs.
Also, 3 and 4 don't have proper day-night cycles.
And it had the overall best story.
I really hope we get to fight rival gangs again in SR5 like we did in the first 3 games.
That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing the flying dragon vehicle finally happen lol
Saints Row 2 or 3 are (in my opinions) the best ones out of the series. I can't really decide because they're both fun asf.

Elder Rusty Because Rockstar made a better Saints Row in GTA IV and V. It became clear when Saints Row 2 came out that people were comparing the two series and opting for GTA over Saints Row. Plus since everyone was ripping off GTA anyway like Mafia and Sleeping Dogs, they had to do something to separate from the pack. So, they went weird. And weird was good.

I really enjoy the saints row series. I feel like they have done a good job of differentiating themselves from GTA and this is coming from a huge GTA fan. Saints row is just really over the top and that makes it fun.
Saints row: The Third is my favorite SR game. I just love how its fun but still has a good story. SR2 is my 2nd fav
I think what really makes SR great is the characters; those moments you share with them that make you actually feel like part of the world. I loved in SR2, the anguish when I had to put Carlos out of his misery; in SR3, that sing along with Pierce just felt human; in SR4 when Kinzie pulled me off Matt to really somber me up after I went berserk.

I like the gangster theme and realism in the first two games, but the fun and chaotic stuff in the fourth... I haven't played the third, I was going to download it on the Xbox (when it was free for some time) but my brother said I couldn't because no more room, on my hard drive, which had 300GB. Dick head

I'm with you, buddy. SR4 was pretty good, making better use of an... already existing map with some extra props... but SR2 had everything. It had the humor, the investment in the characters, the feels, the build-up... It was over the top in perspective to GTA, which was a welcome breath of fresh air in a series that took itself very serious (eventually). Sadly they decided that SR3 and 4 had to be over the top in perspective to itself, which is more of a cyclical issue.
Saints Row 2 was my favorite
1&2 was my absolute favorites i hope they release them for the switch. The way they fixed the gravity gun is they stick you in a similar and any time the game needs a break it does a roll on the background
Saints Row 4 is a desert island game. Its so fun that ive hit 100% on it on the 360, X1, and PS4. I absolutely love this series. I really hope SR5 is on the way.
I love SR 1-2 but personally I like 3-4 more, I think the over the top stuff is more fun and unique

Saints row thre third was my favorite. over the top but not to the level of super powers and aliens. Just enough to be fun while maintaining a semi realistic corporate gang controlled world. Everything an open world game needs, we have enough gta and other "realistic" games. Basically skydiving while shooting is my level of perfect
The first 2 games had the best and more realistic storylines but the last two had better customization . My favorite is the second game😁

The only disappointing thing about the game (SR4) is no replayable main missions and some side missions that are 1-time deal as well. I saw the mission completed tab and I thought oh great they'll allow me to play them later on after I finish the game and.... No I couldn't replay any of them... Like ffs devs why does the missions completed tab exists? What does it add to anything if I'm not allowed to replay them?

Saints Row 3 and 4 forever. Granted, I would have liked a different setting for 4. But I do prefer 3 and 4 over 2. And I also prefer this series over GTA. I love that the game doesn't take its self too seriously, and that I can play as any type of character I want. I would love a sequel to the Saints series, since the events of G.O.H could provide a different take on things. Agents of Mayhem was okay...but its not holding my attention too well. Which is a pitty because I want to really like and support their brand.

The reason why I personally preferred Saints Row 1 and 2 over 3 and 4 was that it didn't take itself too seriously, but it also didn't feel completely over the top. The plot, especially in Saints Row 2, felt like a parody of what GTA had created, but it still felt somewhat grounded.

The Leaderboard yeah, people seem to forget that just because 1 & 2 were more grounded in reality doesn't mean they were humorless or took themselves seriously.
In 2 you can drive around in a septic truck spraying sewage on people while wearing a hot dog costume or get in a fight with a voodoo cult gang while wearing an astronaut suit.
I remember friends of mine back in 2008 saying "it's like GTA, but on crack!" And that's what people say about 3 & 4 nowadays too, so when people say 1 & 2 were "too serious" or "generic GTA clones" I assume they haven't given those games (especially 2) a chance.

SR3 was my first and favorite, but I loved how serious SR1 and 2 were! For all their talk of wanting it to be fun, they could make a serious game enjoyable and sprinkle in OTT elements.

I loved all of the titles equally, so I guess I'm just weird. I never got the division among fans in that area. I didn't even notice the GTA V release, because SR IV came out at the same time.
I personally liked 3 the best, but I never really played 1 or 2, I saw a couple videos on it, so I may be wrong

I understand why some people don't like Saints Row IV and Gat out of Hell, but what I really love about them, aside from all the references, is the actual fact that they're way over the top and are comitted to not being serious! I had the most fun with those 2! Although one thing I miss from Saints Row 2 actually are the houses you can buy and the customization of vehicles, which I think was the best in SR2

Akuraj johnson it was developed for original Xbox and had to move to a next gen console. That was what he meant. The devs didnt want that to happen to IV too because Saints Row 1 in its original state had to be scratched because of a new Xbox and to be remade.

I prefer honestly saints row 2-3 they were my favorite the whole superpower didn’t grow on me and the whole story in sr 1 was nice but wasn’t really my thing
