I thought that it was good. That scene where The Infected came running out of the ground was pretty horrifying, then it became an OMG moment when that Bloater climbed up and started killing people left and right.
You should delete or adjust this video, it has an unexpected spoiler in it that will ruin the show and the game for anyone. It will give you a bad name if people get bad expriences watching your movies.
Yup! Halfway thru I said to my partner "I feel bad for anyone who doesn't know what's coming, because I am braced for it and I already feel upset!". Then Ellies attempt to help Sam (or at least comfort him) did me in. I'm not going to be able to cope with the ranch-house conversation if they get that scene right!
Her name's Kathleen btw, in episode 4 I doubted her power whether she is really capable of leading the resistance to freedom cuz of her soccer mom Karen personality, but her backstory filled in all the blanks and didn't really disappoint us as I was before knowing the context
@@GeezSus I told my sister that on the outside those soccer mom Karens are really unsuspecting but they really have this scary “do whatever it takes” attitude that would push them forward especially when it comes to family that makes it make sense.
I mean was she wrong though? What made Sam more important than any of the other kids with cancer in the QZ who was been denied the rationed drugs? And regardless of Henry selling out Sam still died. I think Henry’s actions are understandable but I have limited sympathy myself. Collaboration with a tyrannical, oppressive enemy is never acceptable even when your own or your families wellbeing is at stake. Ultimately Henry’s family wasn’t any more important than anyone else’s family and his collaboration was in vein.
Episode 5 was amazing! ♥ Best one so far in my opinion. The infected attack was very intense. The story with Henry & Sam was very moving, even for someone knowing the game.
10/10 episode. It has the amazing character moments, ofc the moments with the zombies, and the ending made me cry. I knew they were going to die but I didn't think it would be that bad.
I still think this show has a flawless pilot episode. But this episode was great as well. And if you think about it, the finale will probably be even better.
I was lucky enough to be an extra in the first scene of this ep! I’m the guy with the blue hood high fiving the guys in the truck haha It was a wicked experience. You could tell everyone was incredibly passionate about the production

I thought the sniper scene was the best in this episode. The eye contact between ellie and joel was so intense, he knew what she was up to, protected her and shot her out of the way. You could really tell they were bonding and their relationship was growing. Love to see that.
Shame I really felt for Ellie when she tried to help Sam. But I think it was pointless either way, cause most fungi (particularly cordyceps) don’t like other fungi invading their host and generally prevent others from doing so (which is actually one of the theories as to how Ellie is immune). Though I did have some shocked laughter when the bloater killed Perry, brought back a lot of memories of my dealings with them in game 😅
This episode was really good the twist to making Sam deaf was interesting and made Henry even more reliable I wished only they did the scene from the game where they where split up and Joel was with sam and henry was with Ellie that would’ve been good interactions
I hope they dedicate half an episode as to how the rat king came to be ie: what went down in the ER at the hospital during the first days of the outbreak. Groundzero!
In the game they say her fungus has mutated. The way I would expect it to work is that her fungus can't infect others and can't make Ellie turn. The vaccine would basically infect people with Ellie's mutated fungus and prevent them from being infected by the regular kind that make people turn. That means it would not cure people infected by the regular fungus.
No, the “cure”. Is not a cure. Is more like a block for the “bad” fungus. The vaccine mechanism is to infect people with the Ellie’s mutation so the “bad” version doesn’t control the person. Still pretty naive from fireflies to believe they can create a vaccine for such an aggressive fungus…
@@-TheUnkownUser The cure is not the bit that I can blame the Fireflies for trying to do. What I do blame them for is thinking they could even distribute it in the first place. Marlene lost most of her crew going across the country to the Hospital. How would they even distribute a vaccine without losing hundreds of people in the process. Does everyone even deserve it? David's group? The Pittsburgh hunters? Would anyone even believe that they are bringing a cure and not just trying to kill everyone with an injection? That vaccine would not change the world.

This episode was amazing, i just think pedro could’ve done a better job at acting when sam was attacking, for example, in game one of the best stuff that made me feel the stress and fear joel had was his body language, after sam was killed he tried to talk to henry and told him its not his fault, and in show he seemed just stressed and didnt know what to do, anyways it was good either way

Everyone is victims in this show. Joel didn't have to lose Sarah. Tess didn't have to die. Riley shouldn't have been killed. There were a lot of things that were out of everyone's circumstance but they all suffered. Some people went on like joel and ellie. Others checked out like henry and bill. If Circumstances were different nobody needed to die.
I know its too early to say it but in my opinion , The Last Of Us adaptation is the best , hell its a lot better than GOT . kudos to hbo ,im loving it .

i got goosebumps similar to Hardhome ep from GOT, when the infected attacks

The Henry & Sam section of the first game has always been my favorite and for me, HBO outdid the sniper sequence👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

You should have a warning about the spoilers. The last fact was completely unnecessary at this point. Not everyone played the game
