The Applejack metro is in one of those rarely seen colours as well. I always find it interesting that people travel so far i.e. Germany. At Ripon last weekend i was talking to an enthusiast that was on holiday from Germany.
Im pleased to say i have never owned a lada although my parents had one at our previous house. Kept food well but we also had a fridge.🤣

The Lada food store - love it 🤣🤣We met folks from Netherlands who were the organisers of Japan Classic Sunday in Holland. There were folks from all over!

One should always go once! There's lots on social media about 'it's not what it was' or 'it's very expensive' - all of which could be very true😂But we wanted to go and glad we did. I would love to get in the Concours de L'Ordinaire ......maybe next year

@@OldCarsNewVan I’m going to pencil it in for next year. I think the cost did put me off a little bit as it was well over £35 per car (and I would be flying solo), that and a 4 hour round trip in a non very fuel efficient car 😂

Oh wow, haven't seen a Citroen BX estate for a long time and this one is even from the first series with the small amber indicator glasses on the front. I heard these Xantias were also pretty popular in the UK.
The Sunny is really something you don't expect. I find it pretty cool that you got it. It's really popping out of the mass and being something you don't expect. A car no one cares when buying a classic car but on the other hand it is already such a rare piece that people start to care when they're seeing it on a show.
An Audi A1 is also definately something that you don't get to see this often on such shows but I do remember I've seen one around 2 years ago at the Classics & Coffee in Stuttgart.
Peugeot 405 estate - wow ... I can't remember when I've seen the last one.
The small Volvo 480 is something I can remember very well. We had a teacher of art in school and she used such a Volvo 480 in black during the winter time and during summer she had an Alfa Romeo Spider 2.0 (the Aerodinamica, so the third series). I've to admit that she has (or had) a great taste about cars.
Peugeot 309 - I love these cars. Never owned one but I like the design with the bubble window on the rear.
Applejack - interesting name for the Metro, I bet it got the name because of the colour.
Interesting to see the Rover 214 with the German license plate. But that's what I read that people are coming from all around Europe to there.
Talbot/Chrysler Horizon - I can remember about them from my childhood. They were in my opinion the better looking VW Golf Mk1. Back then when I didn't understand it are different brands, haha. But nowadays also really rare. Loving the brown interior of it. Suits it very nice.
Lada Riva (or Lada Nova how it was called here in Germany). I find these really very interesting. I heard the best of them is the heating system. But that probably is it, haha. But I find them cool anyway.
Cool Proton - we had Proton only for a short time in Germany during the middle to the end of the 90s only. And just only a hand full of dealerships. Too less to become popular. And I can always see how related they are to Mitsubishi.
Loving the license plate on the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow ... BIG 20 🙂
Oh wow, Nissan Cherry and even a GTI. I can remember Alfa Romeo did also use this body for a short period of time ... Alfa Romeo Arna. In Germany I can remember the Cherry was sold as Datsun Cherry. I can't remember about the Nissan badge on them.
Must have been a great feeling when the cars did finally move - although you had a very interesting walk around the traffic jam of cool classics, hehe.

Hi Sven - yes the BX estate was lovely. So many cars to see everyone is just a quick look before having to move on. Cheers, we're already very fond of the Sunny - didn't sell at the show and I'm glad!!!
Always thought the Audi A2 was interesting but never driven one - advanced design. Yes the Metro - applejack was the very distinctive colour. You could also get that colour on very late series 3 Allegros!! Now that was a statement!! There were so many Protons at the show🤣 - see later videos!!
Later found out the Nissan Europe GTI is a former winner of this festival - so a very special car. Alfa Romeo Arna was the joint venture car. Yes I kind of stopped 'moaning' once the cars started moving 😂 - kind of.......🤣

@@OldCarsNewVan Oops, you're right - Audi A2 (I wrote Audi A1). These Audi A2 were also known to be very economic about the fuel consumption. But mechanics hated to work on it because you didn't have access to the engine from top - on top you could only do the normal stuff for maintenance. But for sure better than the Mercedes A-class which is a rust buckets like the most Mercedes cars from that time.
Haha, I can imagine about what you mean about stopped moaning once the cars started moving ... kind of ... but then still all few meters a stop and still everything slow ... where to park, etc ... hahaha.
