The opened engine bay of the Bond did distract me. Just seeing the lawnmower engine and didn't notice that it is actually a 3 wheeler. What an actually simple construction of a car. Nowadays everything is much more complicated - but of course also safer, etc.
Very nice Ford Cortina TC2 - even with the old steel wheels in such a mint condition. Over here I am mostlikely seeing them standing on odd aftermarket alloy wheels.
Yet I've never seen a Triumph Toledo in real. First I was thinking this Dolomite has odd headlamps. But as I am just reading the Dolomite was the successor of the Toledo. The colour reminds me about the very nice example of a Dolomite Sprint that I've seen twice in this year.
The Ford Capri MK2 JPS is really nice. Just thinking how cool it would look in black with the golden John Player Special decals. Not sure if the Capri was actually sold in black - I can't remember to have ever seen it in black. But black also has been a much unloved colour for a long time since it was used for taxis until 1971 (previously built taxis had to re-color to RAL 1015 ivory latest in 1976). So it was not really a colour that is good for selling a car (who wants to buy a taxi?).
Loving the colour combination of the Ford Escort Mk1 estate at 1:41
The Nissan Sunny is looking so modern - but 1992 is also already 32 years ago. Time is running!
Renault Caravelle are really lovely convertibles.
Hehe, the Porsche 924 is also called by a lot of magazines over here to be the Hausfrauen-Porsche (housewives Porsche), hehe.
Totally loving these Jaguar Mk 10 ... such big elegant cars!
The Bristol 403 is looking like a BMW 502 "Baroque Angel" ordered at Wish, hehe. I read that the Bristol 400 was actually also based on technic and style from BMW. The origins of Bristol were from Frazer Nash who built BMW cars in license back in 1945 and shortly later they decided to also build their own cars based on the BMW cars.
The headlamps of the Rover 16 are looking really huge.
The Hillman Hunter is also lovely in green.
Really a very nice variety of classics & vintage cars.
Mike & Maia, please have a nice weekend!
Most of the JPS Capris were in black over here; this one is the first white one I’ve ever seen.
The Triumph Toledo/Dolomite and their predecessors’ story is truly confusing with front wheel drive and rear wheel drive versions in basically the same body shell, some with long nose/tail and some short and it seems like most variations were sold at the same time!
@@emma.j.nation Thanks a lot for the information. Have a nice evening. Greetings from Germany.
Thanks Sven - a tricky time for us - my Dad passed away so really just letting the channel run itself with pre-loaded up content. Might get a bit thin in December but we will be back!! Take care, Mike & Maia
@@OldCarsNewVan Sorry to hear that Mike. Condolences to you. Lost my Dad who was also my best friend in 2017.Take care.

It was my first time here, too, but I’m sure I’ll be back next year. Not sure if there are two classic car events (in June and in August) as there were in 2024, though
There’s a Ford Pop in Frinton on sea up the road from me it’s a daily non restored on original paint it’s something to see especially as modern cars are so big don’t get me started on the new Mini 😭😭
The Triumph Roadster i understand there bringing back Bergerac but it his son in the story and I'm told the Roadster makes an appearance in the first episode or so i am told. That Capri the green one i saw at Ripon last year and it was amazing all original never restored. Same owner.
Nice variety of cars of all ages.
Cheers Glyn - appreciate it
