I saw some of those cars as a boy in the 1950s …..very few cars were built during the war so many pre war cars were still knocking around in those years. Also many men with physical ailments (damage) from the war….it was a common sight . Thank you Mr OCC .
A great line up there with a good number of pre war cars to see. The Aston Martin is a nice car as is the Riley and I always like the little Austins. Great that some of these are daily drivers. Nice that the 4CV got to blow the cobwebs off too! Great video Rick thank you. 👍👍
I lost my heart as soon as I saw the Wolsley Hornet, followed shortly by the Rover. The Frogeye Sprrite would have won except for the colour. If it had been a dark green it would stand a better chance with me. It looked to be a great location for the meet and maybe a pace I would like to visit.
Quite the genteel evening. Well worth the time to be there for sure. I was in love with the Aston Martin until the Alvis came in! Great lineup of cars with a beautiful evening. I would vote for more of the vintage events if possible.
Good to see that some of the traditional Bhurtpore lives on. For me, the attraction was the variety and quality of the beer but since Simon and Nicky put themselves our to grass, the website has featured plenty on food but not a mention of beer! Hopefully, once the renovation work is complete....
Nice reversing Harley, except for the grass you ran on. Hope Mrs OCC does not watch the videos. Only just noticed when you where taking the 750 in and out of the shed and the Austin A40 was in side view just how much it looks like a MB GT. Another excellent video of an awesome meeting.
This reply is to the departure of the Morris but I failed to get a reply to you. Sad to see the old girl go but but your and Harley's logic is spot on! Thanks for a an sad but enjoyable video! Rob Tob
Looking at those small old cars reminded me of my Dad after the end of the war swapping cars in the street in order to get better sets of tyres. His Job title when I was born was Electrical Engineering Works Assistant Manager. The place Longbridge, Austin Motors. He did not like working for his Boss. So when approached by another of his wartime bosses, he left to work for him. Besides, the travelling was a shorter distance, so less trouble with tyres. I can remember a few of Dads cars. A Wyman bodied Riley 9, Two of his Siddleys. His Rover 12 1934, London Show model. Jowett Bradford's, Javelin.
Lovely video - one of your best. I'd happily take home any of those beautiful, well-engineered oldies. And such relaxing background music from Aaron Kenny. Is Mrs OCC contemplating a "keep off the grass" sign?!
Is that three wheel cycle car with the Moto Guzzi engine a Pembleton I wonder? These are beautiful, hand crafted light weights. Johnny Smith featured this company on his Late Brake Show channel.
how old is your son . ? is he about ready to go live on his own ? or is he still at that awkward stage between teen and adault ? I think he should save his pennies and buy an MGB. For a sports car they are pretty roomy and practical. still in keeping with a British historic value. have wind up windows basic 4 cyl 4 speed simplicity. easy to get parts for and easy to maintain . only drawback is the trunks leak. outside of VW beetle that was my next pick.
He hits the road officially next year, the MGB is a good first classic choice but insurance will be huge for the first few years of him being a driver so he'll be in small-engined cars for a while!

Thanks John, and most of the new post-war cars headed straight to the docks for export!
Nice one RJ, the 4CV always looks a happy and cheerful little car, positively smiling.
Thanks, yes it is a cheeky little thing, there'll be more of it on the channel soon
Another good post. I didn't realise this was on once a month, I'll have to pop over and have a look. Thanks.
Yeah there are usually quite a few cars there I believe during the months when the days are longer
Best video for a long time. Not a Capri, BMW or a Nova to be seen. Great line up, especially the Alvis and the Riley 👌
Thanks, yes just oldies in this one!
I could literally watch your uploads for hours on end, I live on the other side of the world now and your channel gives me welcome taste of home.
That's nice to hear, thanks for watching
Really enjoyed seeing the older cars in this video. I really appreciate what you do.
Glad you like them!
My favorite car in your collection.
It's certainly a funny little thing, thanks for watching
I sometimes get behind in the viewing but I do watch them all!
Keep up the good work.
JIM ❤
Thanks Jim!

I watch your videos with great pleasure and always look forward to the next one. This video has to be one of your very best, thank you.
Very kind of you to say so, it was a very pleasant evening out
Lovely little show Richard . That Riley was my favourite too !
Great camera angles in this one Rick. Thanks as always.
Thanks 👍
Quite the genteel evening. Well worth the time to be there for sure. I was in love with the Aston Martin until the Alvis came in! Great lineup of cars with a beautiful evening. I would vote for more of the vintage events if possible.
Thanks Tom, the vintage videos don't tend to do as well as those featuring mainly slightly later cars, but it won't stop me featuring them :-)
@@oldclassiccarUK Suddenly, I feel very old! After all I just had a birthday that puts me solidly in vintage territory!
What a wonderful name..The Bhurtpore Inn.
Yep quite a historic name with links going right back
That little Renault is one of my favourite cars on the Internet!
Ha thanks! it also appears in this evening's upload

It looks like there is a lot going on during the re-furb
Many thanks for a most interesting video. I particularly enjoyed the detail and close ups of interiors and engines.
You're welcome!

Shhhhhhh!! :)
ohhhh 😂
Commenting at 3/4 point of video.Great cars! I suspect rest of video will be good stuff! CHEERS from HERE!

Some interesting and beautiful cars.
Another great video.
[ that little 4-CV is a cute cheery little thing.].
And you have a beautiful place.
📻🙂
Thanks! 👍 all in all a very pleasant evening out
I just had to lok up the name Bhurtpore and it's a fascinating bit of history .😁
Yes the name goes right back I believe

Very different times eh!? thanks for watching
Great cars!
Another good one 🎉
You missed the all Jaguar meet awhile back?
JIM ❤
Did I? Not sure, there are so many things going on at the mo!
You immediately feel that these people have a sense of style.
Very true, well until I turned up anyway :)
Lovely video thanks for sharing. Beautiful little Renault, at first glance I thought it was a Fiat.
Thanks, most people confuse it with a Beetle!!!!
Thanks
Many thanks for the contribution! (and for Harley's too, very kind)
Nicely presented, somewhat sentimental style😂
Lovely video - one of your best. I'd happily take home any of those beautiful, well-engineered oldies. And such relaxing background music from Aaron Kenny. Is Mrs OCC contemplating a "keep off the grass" sign?!
A sign? We'd only drive over it ...
@@oldclassiccarUK 😀
I enjoyed the video. There were some really great cars. Are you going to do another quiz video? They are fun.
Thanks, I'll see what I can arrange!
GREAT CARS...MORE V8 PILOT PLEASE...
Cheers Bob, more Pilot planned!
Is that three wheel cycle car with the Moto Guzzi engine a Pembleton I wonder?
These are beautiful, hand crafted light weights.

I'm not sure, I think it's a one-off
Nice little meet there. How far is Harley from getting his licence?
Probably a year or so depending on how many lessons (proper) he needs, and backlogs with driving test appointments
