I can't agree with you more. Builds like these are very obtainable for the average person. Those crazy professional builds are too much and I couldn't see spending that much on audio for one vehicle

I love my budget build. I was so patient about getting what I was supposed to so it was well worth it when I FINALLY installed it.
These are my favorite type videos mainly because there’s no arrogance involved and it’s not about the money or the name brands just All about the love and passion for the sport. Thanks Jacob, bet it sounds nice.👍

got myself a skar audio evl 6.5, with a q bomb box ported tuned to 34 hz
With exception to the driver seat, that is a super clean ride for a 20 plus year old truck. Nice daily driver; nothing budget about it. That kid's got nicer stuff than some of the SPL builds you've demo'd JV. Enjoy all your vids, and watch them daily!

the electric blueberry 2 yeah sealed up the Tacoma’s are ass; my two Skar 10s on 1500w in a 6th order blowthrough did low 140s at 27hz with one door open (cheap ass ivx series subs and zero bracing)

I'm not sure if u can call this system a budget unless ur budget is about $600. Those m6s are great quality subs and the premier amp is great also. I think less than 400 is a budget system. I love Memphis audio. Never had the mojos.
Single sub? Two subs? What about components? Head unit? With one sub I can maybe see it, but if you want your shit really bangin I don't really see it. I think budget can be anything under 1k
He should get a matching 12 and another Pioneer amplifier . It sounds good!
I had a Rockford T2 in my Tacoma back in the day. For such a small truck and actually a big enclosure that MF pounded. I killed a BD 1000.1 at 1/2 ohm with that. It was great for the short time it lasted. Upgraded the amp later.
That's a good ass amp for the money. Best budget amp imo. Had one for 4 years never gave me issues (the pioneer gmd8601)
I would have put my sub behind the passenger seat so I can be comfortable that what I did in my Mazda truck
Its a cool set up but the sub in blown you hear it knocking and rattling

Yep most go with 12s over 10s for slightly more cone area for about the same price.

Have the same sub. It’s definitely not a budget sub. I got the sub for $300 and that was a deal bc I know the guy, otherwise it would’ve been over $400 just for the sub. I bought a JL JX5001/D amp and that was 300. Plus the box. It’s close to an $800 system for sure definitely not a budget

Really musical from 40-55hz range but the lows weren't the best but also was because of the box.

This is why i don't enroll in bass comps. My ears take enough trying to tune my 6.5" tweeters at 100% volume with no lows. Set the Front speakers at 35hz crossover they're not hitting. Meanwhile my sub is crossed at 250hz and sounds better bass with a coulpe songs than the tweters. $1800 later i decided to build a box for the tweeters and couldn't cut straight. Im done with this bs
