Thanks you for your comments! I do my best to keep up with them for the first few days after a video comes out, but due to the volume of comments on all of my videos, and to the general hustle and bustle of life, I must give up the fight after a while. If you are leaving a question four or more days after a video comes out I can't guarantee I'll see it, but perhaps one of my other viewers knows the answer and can help out. Thanks in advance to those who contribute and share their knowledge. Cheers and stay safe everyone!

The new Nari will make Honda rich as pharaoh. Car, motorcycle and even bicycle buyers have been wishing for years for simpler, cheaper reliable vehicle options. Honda has hit it out of the park!!!!
Yeah, I think world-wide this will sell like crazy. That price is hard to resist.
@@DifferentSpokesTV India, perhaps?
@@ronlheureux7623 it's been discontinued in india due to poor sales
Mopeds have been around for a while now. They just styled this one differently and doubled the engine size.
I've been riding since I was 14 (59 now). This looks like fun. I have an adv150 (wish Honda would import the adv750) and its as much fun to tool around town as my kawi concours14!
Wow I actually work at that ferry, I saw you guys get in line and take it across! I just so happened to be subscribed to your channel too. Imagine my surprise when I saw the ferry in the video! Kinda crazy, what are the odds of that? Keep up the good work man 👏 your videos are great! 👍
That's a huge coincidence! Too bad we didn't chat. Your area is gorgeous and I really enjoyed my stay as well as the Cali weather. Thanks for comment!
Man... thats a super crazy coincidence!
👍🏽🇺🇸
Just rode that two days ago ...
Yes, there was a group of eight or so on the ferry .
I checked my local dealer, prices were subject to change. Though none were in stock.
That's Navi! It does what other bikes won't. It is made for FUN, not performance. It makes you a child again. Not a toy, but makes you playful. Not a Harley, but makes you proud. Not fast, but quick. Not big, but makes you feel bigger. Not a joke, but makes you laugh.
My RED RIDING HOOD has given me the best of auto scooters and bike since 2016.
Thank you Honda!💓
In Pakistan we have 4 gear honda cd70. It reaches the speed of 70km per hour easily and is commonly used as a family bike as it can seat 2 pillions easily. The bike costs $500 at a dealership.
🤯
Lekhen pakistan meh hamesha tin, char logh dekhta hu ech bike per bet ta hai 😅
Paki Tech ... Very cool, very economical little bike. I would love to see that here in Canada, but unfortunately it doesn't have enough fuel economy killing pollution control devices to satisfy the Crazy Eyed Great Thunberg types over here. India and Pakistan are fortunate in this respect, they get a lot of simple, inexpensive little runabouts...envious in Canada.
Imagine if Harley Davidson made their version of Grom. But with a tiny 150cc V-twin
That would be a little wheelie machine if they keep some torque! I'd like to see that, tbh
But it would cost $18,000 !!😲😲🇨🇦🇨🇦
Ha! Nicely done :)
Yeah. For Halloween you could dress as an outlaw and take it trick-or-treating.
They had there chance but ego took over.
Good review. My beef with Navi is that while MSRP is $1807, the ACTUAL out the door price after fees is nearly $2800. Adding 50% in fees makes other used bikes very appealing.
I didnt want to post MISLEADING TITLE but this nails it. It is NOT 1807...... Have not found a single person in the states to have paid that.
@@timvancourt7213 I calculated how much I'd pay at my local dealer and it would be $2338 after dealer fees and taxes.
@@appalachianenthusiast9499 that’s awesome…. I paid 3k but it was fully worth it. Love my Navi
Love that little Navi! So cute and nimble. What an awesome experience. :)
Thank you 🤗 I know the Super Cub is your fave though.
Cute but not so practical as a walk-thru scooter.
There are 20 million scooters in Taiwan with population of 23 million. Most of them are walk-thru for practical purposes. Mother can deliver or pick up 2 kids to and from school with one standing on the floor while the other rides behind. Most people use walk-thru floor to carry stuff. I used laundry basket on the walk-thru floor for grocery shopping.
Meanwhile, Taiwan is the origin of both Kymco and Sym motorcycles/scooters with solid reliability. My 1997 Kymco 125c.c. scooter was bought used around 2003 and still capable to be a workhorse. I find hard to have an excuse to retire it for a fancy new scooter. Kymco is making J300 scooters for Kawasaki while delivering 650 c.c. engines to BMW.
Excellent review of an excellent starter / 2nd bike. When I started out I bought the cheapest new bike (MZ TS 125 @ £315), passed my test 3or4 months later then sold it for ~2/3rds of what I paid for it. I can see learners doing the same with the Navi as it is better than buying a beat-up unreliable 8th hand bike.
Pity that lack of abs and fuel injection make it unlikely to be coming to europe as we pretend to be saving the environment.
Yeah, it's a perfect example of a rule not applying to all bikes. the brakes are linked and the bike is light enough not to need ABS. And even with the carb, it's pretty efficient.
Gotta say, I completely agree with your comment.
The main turn off for me would have been the lack of manual trans.. I’ve been two wheel only for maybe five years now but I’d kept a scooter or moped as a backup/second vehicle for 10+ years prior.. every one of my cars has been manual. It’s something I seek out and it was something I really looked forward to when I decided to get something larger than a 50cc scooter. Ended up with a mint rebel 250 for $1500. It’s yet to let me down after two years and 15k miles.
@@jseden get used to it, all my vehicles are hub motors no need for obsolete transmissions
@@Blox117 obsolete? Maybe technically.. more fun? Not if you ask me. Manual cars have been getting harder to find for decades, but have I ever bought an automatic one? Hell no. Anyway all I said was “no manual gears, no thanks.” Just my opinion.
I still think it’s a good place to start when it comes to two wheels. Especially if you can’t drive stick. Bikes carry their own set of rules without throwing a clutch into the equation so i think it’s fine for that.. or just getting around if you don’t care about the trans.
At this point tho, electric bikes just aren’t for me. Aside from the trans, I can fix and maintain a gas engine just fine. Even f something major breaks, I can probably have it fixed in an afternoon+ plus parts. There’s also no significant savings when it comes to buying gas vs replacing a battery after a couple years. Let’s say I get 1000 charge cycles out of a battery… at one every day or two, that’s ~4 years. over that same four year span, I spend 1000-$1200 on fuel.. so more or less the same as a new battery pack. I’ve yet to spend more than 2k on a motorcycle so I’m also starting out well below the cost of a comparable ecycle. So aside from my preferences, a gas bike is still far more economical for me.
Yes! Can't wait to hear about the new PCX.
It was super modern. Like driving an Acura.
I'm so glad I've held off from buying an electric bike. I can't wait to get my hands on this with a reliable Honda motor.
Mini moto Heaven. Can't wait for the next video.
Coming soon! I definitely had fun.
Wow, Honda scores again as the most innovative motorcycle company I predict many Navi will be sold.
I've been waiting for companies to realize they could use cvt's in a motorcycle layout and have alot more success than a scooter. I actually love riding scooters but I don't like to looks. And they are simple and cheap power trains to make, and super reliable with low power engines. This is gonna be huge for peoples "spare bike" or to teach girlfriends to ride.
More power from the Honda 110 is as easy as rejetting, freer flowing exhaust, better air intake and a different cdi without going into the engine... Drum brakes can be easily upgraded to a front disc setup for under 300bucks and under 250 for the savvy who can pick and order the proper wheel, disc, caliper and master cylinder with brake line...
it looks like an electric bike and that storage box is ahead of the game. If I wasn't soo fascinated by the honda trail I would buy it.
I may be selling mine in February.
Yeah, the Trail was the only one they didn't have on hand for the event. Off-road machines are in so much demand they sold them all.
this one is great for an ev conversion
I had to chuckle when I saw that the Navi was being introduced into the North American market. These scooterish little bikes have been around for quite some time. Originally made for the Indian market they failed to sell in India and it seemed they would be relegated to the dustbin. When I was in Costa Rica a couple of years ago just about every rental place had a fleet of them. My wife and I had a blast exploring the west coast on them. While not as comfy as my decked out DL650 or my wifes adventureized XT250 on longer rides we nonetheless had a blast. Enjoy the videos. Cheers
Yeah, it seems that Europe is the only place they won't be selling because they lack ABS. Could be a world-wide best seller. Thanks for the comment!
@@DifferentSpokesTV Which is ridiculous, because this kind of bike (cheap non-scooter cvt) already existed years ago in Europe and sold well, ABS it's not really needed for bikes this size and power.
Yes your right it's made for india
Anything that encourages more people onto two wheels is a good thing. The fact that it's a Honda and so cheap is a great thing.
I’ve watched a bunch of these Navi reviews, and your’s is the best. Great writing and perspective.
Thanks for your content and channel, bro! From Russia with respect!
They'll sell like hotcakes because that's what people want, to get around at an affordable price. Rewind back to the sixties. Honda did the same thing and made a fortune. Harley could do the same thing and it would bankroll their 10 year plan, if they have one. Great review.
Thanks! Yes, I have a feeling that the younger crowd will prefer these to public transit, especially with pandemics and masks and all.
@@DifferentSpokesTV Motorcycle or confined box with strangers breathing and coughing on you? Real tough choice.
That things is cool that it has carburetion, and petcock with a fuel reserve position! That’s about as retro as vinyl!
Great job with the video- my favorite motorcycle channel.
Thanks for watching! It's definitely old tech but for a machine like this that's preferable. You can save by working on it yourself.
The narrator sounds a lot like Honda Pro Kevin. That is a honest and genuine compliment.
Great review and cool little bike. The only problem, with those extra light bikes, is that when you are parked in town and not around, they can be slole in seconds in a truck.
1800 USD? Wow, if that makes it to Canada for the equivalent 2300$, thats an amazing price. Better than even most 50cc scooters. Honda please!
Yep, $2299CAD. Available only in red.
I'm surprised it's coming to Canada. We really get ignored by Honda in the small bike class: for the longest time, the Ruckus and the Grom were about it in this segment.
I have enjoyed my RED RIDING HOOD NAVI in India since 2016. Glad to see the rest of the world loving NAVI.
Got my 2022 Monkey in October and put 690 KM on her. FUN every time I take it out. I hope to get a few more days out before our December 1st deadline in QC 🇨🇦
Nice! Congrats. The Grom is still the most fun of the Minis on pavement. I'd love to have had it for longer.
Well done! Great riding with you. Until next time...
For sure!
Thanks for the video!
Love it! Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just the fact that it has a kickstarter is a big plus for me .
Perfect bike for the dumb and dumber sequel...
I was thinking that but didn't want to say it out loud at the event :)
You realize that by stating this isn't a track bike means that 5 race clubs were just formed to race them and by saying they aren't country crosses means at least 12 riders are now outfitting them with an expanded 2gal tank and getting ready to ride the BDRs and/or the 2A West to East.
I hope so :)
I want to be that guy.
I dig the Navi, but am scared that once these little bikes hit the dealerships a lot of people will be disappointed to find out the Navi is likely to cost closer to 2500-3000 out the door, if not more.
Considering this little guy costs 500 all in in India (around 1300 in Mexico, also all in) I can’t but feel if you’re in the US you’re getting ripped off.
I’ve seen people get quoted between 4300-4800 for groms (no abs) which is 1000-1500 over msrp and considering the Navi is the same size, if you’re in a state with state tax, it’ll be similar. I hope Honda doesn’t allow it but imagine seeing something advertised for one price and paying a 70-90% over that price to walk out with it.
Yeah, the Indian price is crazy. For that price I'd get one just because...
@@DifferentSpokesTV for that price, I’d get 2 I just hope we don’t get screwed here in the states
@@nemanjatosovic I agree never ride a bike before but this one looks like a decent starter just to get a feel of things , if it cost more then the asking price don’t see a reason to even invest in it
@@GabrielOrtiz- it’s not a matter of if, it will. I had a dealer quote me over 3000 and said I had to leave a deposit as the bike is in high demand. I new that would be the case.
Dealers price Navi(s) at $2300. 5 year old scooters where I live in the US sell at the cost of new. Dealers will rip you off before you get in the door. 2 year old Groms are $3500-4500. To get something with a price that reflects its value, you need to buy something that is well used.
I think it's a good bike for beginners and city use. In El Salvador we even have its chinese copy, the Serpento Nova, they look alike, but they have some differences too, the Nova have alloy wheels and front disc brake
Thank's for the video; it was alot of fun to watch. Did your wife get to go with you? Keep the entertainment flowing. Illinois,USA
Thanks! Unfortunately Brooke didn't come along which is too bad because she would have liked these bikes, especially the Super Cub.
I'm old. Been riding for over 50 years and this looks like fun. Just waiting for my local dealer to get back to me on when they'll be in stock again.
Okay, first thought -it would be a hoot to take it across the country, and I'm an old fat guy. Heck, I spent the summer riding good sections of a BDR route on a PCX just for the fun of it. Don't be afraid to have big adventures on tiny bikes.
Totally. There's a whole subculture of folks travelling long on the smallest possible machines. Nice work!
Any bike is an adventure bike if you have the right attitude.
@@DifferentSpokesTV Is there a forum for these guys you mentioned?
I've never heard of the Navi before this video.
Neither did I before Honda USA contacted me but apparently it's been out overseas for a while.
I have been on bikes since I was 16 legally I'm now coming up to 72 and still ride a 750cc B M W . My sons have bikes my cousins have bikes one being a T T Champion solo and sidecar. None of us are wimps when it comes to Motorcycles. I was a motorbike instructor as well so keep on biking . This would also reduce congestion and cut down on emissions why can't our lilly livered politicians see the benefits of biking
I agree. Lane splitting and free motorcycle parking in cities should be a standard policy in every country around the world.
At first I didn't like the looks of this bike because it seemed a strange design to me. Thanks to this video I realize it was built that way for a purpose. Now I think is a cool bike. Nice video too.
Wow! I've been researching ebikes for commuting for the past 2 months. Was just about to pull the trigger on a $2500 dollar model. Thanks to your video all that research was in vain! Can't see a reason not to get this!
Stick to gasoline scooters with "twist and go", so you won't get stranded on the road with electric bike/scooter for dead battery.
A walk-thru 125c.c. scooter is more practical for carrying stuff. Both Kymco and Sym scooters are just as reliable as Japanese ones at much more affordable prices. Kymco is making J300 scooters for Kawasaki while delivering 650 c.c. engines to BMW.
Stay away from fashionable Vespa or Piaggio for trouble-prone engine just like FIAT.
Did u get it
Zero maintenance totally. I use this dude to visit markets only.
If it makes you feel better, I'm a gen z dude and I love my goldwing 😁
Awesome! The youngest Gold Wing rider by orders of magnitude. Well done!
@@DifferentSpokesTV thank you sir! Prolly the only highschooler with a gl1500 lol
How old are you? I’ll be 33 next week and am currently fixing up an 81 gl1100. Been dailying a rebel250 for the past couple years.
@@jseden 17. I started out on a 250 rebel when I was 14, kinda outgrew it after a while
@@thicctomato4977 damn. You got me beat then.. I started on a Tomos targa lx at that age and always kept a scooter or ped as a side vehicle. Then a couple years ago, my car died so I started using the ruckus I had then full time.. a couple years and scooters later, I got the rebel. I’m not a big guy and it just seemed like a good choice. No regrets after 15k miles. I found a killer deal on the goldwing this past summer, running&titled, and have been cleaning it up here n there. Will probably sell it come spring.. or maybe not. It’s kinda huge&heavy but I haven’t had any real problems riding it around.. however I can definitely image scenarios where I wouldn’t wanna be riding it.
People keep complaining knowing that this is just a cool looking moped cycle that is priced as so what did you expect 🤔 it does what it is intended to do and will last if you take care of it
Great meeting you! Hope our paths cross again soon!
Also, fantastic video! Very well written
I hope so too! It was great riding with you and I'm looking forward to your vid.
Ooops, just saw that it's up. I'll watch it now.
5:35 Perfectly executed California Stop! 😳 😂😂😂
Fun
Nice bike, I had one for like 1 year, is really good and reliable bike, I didn't liked the suspension, I found it too hard but as a toy and little errands is great, also for heavy traffic in the city
Maybe they upgraded the shock because I thought is did pretty well over the bumps. Glad to hear it held up well for you.
@@DifferentSpokesTV yeah, possibly, in my country it costs around 1100 usd so that might be the royalty
Honda used to sell this in India till last year but discontinued due to lack of sales as it is not practical like scooters. Also its fuel tank capacity is also very less. But it is superfun to ride and agile.
Yes, true. I found it handled well and could hold a line in a corner.
Perfect for the US though where people use bikes for fun and not really transportation. Looks like the Grom but its automatic and half the price, it'll be a hit. I think Honda is trying to have a line of automatic transmission bikes, and that will really pay off I think. Lots of young new riders might prefer that in the future.
this bike has being for sale in Mexico for a year or two, does not sell and even do it is cheaper than in the USA and no addition fees
Today I would buy it as my city bike and if I were 19 again, it would be my car, and back then, I was 143 lba and 5´8¨of 64 kilos and 1.70 mts. never wanted to buy a car, but this bike is cool enough and for the jobs I had back then... it would have being great!
Yeah, in warmer climates where there is not much rain these could totally be your only vehicle. Unfortunately in Canada where I live they're just seasonal.
Honda is Genius to do this when Gasoline prices are out of control.
Feliz Navi Grom... Happiness is a Navi and a Grom!
Bought it for $1375 in Mexico after all extras and fee's. Why is Hondas ripping off Americans?
Great review. Looking forward to the minimoto shootout.
Looks lovely at a good price it would be perfect on the back of the campervan probably won't get it in the UK though
Unfortunately it doesn't have ABS so probably not. Perfect for leaving the van in the camping spot and exploring.
when it comes to city commuting this must be perfect for all ages and genders and whatnot
I look forward to seeing these around
My old ruckus ran 48mph on flat roads with ECU and CVT plug and play tweaks. Ten bucks says if I could get a 10k rev limit increaser, I'd see 60+ on flat land.
"Acceleration is not for the impatient." 😁 Meanwhile, the comment section is neither for the witless nor the illiterate.
Great Stuff. Thanks for the giggle.
Anybody else notice that Trigun slide guitar? Or is it just me?...Love it BTW!
Good man. He knows
Looks like a good beginner bike. But I am past that stage. Old Boomer my first bike was early 70 Yamaha 200 twin two cycle. Great to learn on keep up the good work.
Thanks! It's definitely not for an experienced rider unless you want a cheap bike so you don't run down your nice, expensive one riding around town.
Had a 110cc honda... took it through 6 countries in Europe on a 1000 mile trip and it was great ! Can we get your views on the new Guzzi V100?
America wants the CB350!!!
I have honda navi. Its very good bike. 4years
Amazing video, cute bike, love it 👍
Thank you 🤗
Bike looks good. The Japanese can design if they really want.
So you like bicycles too ? That alone is worth a fat like. 👍😀
Thanks! I've put on more miles on bicycles than on motorcycles over my life. By a lot.
Put this in a comment below but think it's worth repeating
I've been riding since I was 14 (59 now). This looks like fun. I have an adv150 (wish Honda would import the adv750) and its as much fun to tool around town as my kawi concours14! I'd encourage experienced riders to buy a small bike just for the joy of riding them.
I love that ADV150. They're super light so its still pretty quick. I love scooters actually they're all fun as hell to ride. But I always wished they'd make motorcycles with the same engine setup, and now they have
It was first made for India. Navi means something new ( out of the box). Navi's are made in india and exported outside and it cost ~$800 USD in india
Damn I can't even buy a new mountain bike for that kind of money
Before we had Harley gangs... Now we enter a new day and age, welcome to the Navi gangs
I'm gen Z and would do litterally anything to get on a motorbike
I would love to be in a position to take a Honda XR150L or KTM Duke 200 to the Barber small bore event and win the hill climb. 🤠 I bet the Honda Navi with knobby tires would do respectably on the hill climb event.
I like it, cheaper than the electric bike I've been looking at and it will fit in my apartment.
PCX 150 is all a student needs.
When the 5-speed transmission makes it to the Trail 125, that'd be my choice.
Probably not far off now that the Grom and Monkey went to 5.
Just bought my first mc, honda cb300r. Dig your content, man. For the love of all that is holy, keep it up! 👍
Thanks! Will do! We used to have the CB300F, the predecessor to your bike bike. Nice ride. Enjoy!
Looks fun
This gas prices have everyone desperate for a vehicle that gets good gas mileage but doesn't look like the road threw up.
Honda navi uses similar engine to south east asian 110cc honda beat scooter. For its price its quite similarly priced for a 150cc honda liquid cooled scooter here on our country.
Wish Australia will pick this model up.
And we are getting them in Canada! Though only in red from what I hear. Now if we could only get the Supercub, Trail, Metropolitan, and PCX as well. And the ADV 150 would be cool too. I've always wondered why Honda only sells maybe half its lineup in Canada.
Yeah, it's too bad. Maybe it's because they figure these bikes are good year round city commuters and we don't have year round motorcycling weather. I was glad to get to ride them when I was there.
Navi as you pronounced is a butterfly in Korean not Japanese. Interestingly, it's also very popular name for a cat. Haha. I'm expecting next video with great interests.
Thanks! Yes, the Mini-Moto scene is huge all over the world. I'll try to do it justice.
Wave at all riders....Nice
Great review thank you.
Didn’t have much sales success here in India where a majority of the motorcycles are around 100 CC, so was discontinued eventually..
$1807 plus all the charges. A Grom in FL cost $5400 out the door.
Buying one in January...nut brown.
Nice! Have fun on it.
What a great little thing, i cant see it comming to the uk . If it did i would have one in a instant. It would be a hit like the yam 50cc fissy of the 70s.
Let me break a few hearts here by sharing the Navi price here in Thailand. $1200
Nice, But damn you, Honda!! get us the CT125 in Europe!!
Killer price, amazing !!
I got the 2021 PCX I love it!
Good for a recovering stroke patient who needs off that convalescent Piaggio. Foot pegs again !!!
Update the deceiving price on the bike. It’s shameful that the dealerships are up charging, so please don’t follow suit.
“Wave at other bikers no matter what they’re riding.” Well, I’m reduced to a Segway Ninebot ES-series eScooter after an EF-4 tornado crushed my car and tossed everything else around (4x Ninjettes) and I have yet to get a single wave returned. :(
I like the video a lot but truth be told motorcycling will still die out if the Navi is the future! If only the cost of quality 300-500cc bikes would come down from the 5K+ mark, then you'll have a beginner bike for all roads that you won't grow out of in a couple months, not to mention a good deal more self-respect too (kidding). Alas that will never be so I guess the Navi plays the part well.
It's a good start for people coming into the sport before they move up to 300-500cc.
How fast does it go. top speed?
Price is a factor im considering picking one up to learn with
After dealers bend us over it wont be anywhere near MSRP.
Shaft drive on a cheap, small displacement motor bike? Wheel mud guards that are actually designed to do their job? Call me impressed! However, we won't be seeing this one in Europe, sadly... We're too snob for it...
It's been in India for a while, now in North America. Maybe next year in Europe too. It's perfect for A1 riders.
Cvt uses a belt, not a shaft drive.
If you want to get rid of the drum brakes there's a guy on you to the next videos the upgrades the engine suspension I can't remember his name but it looks pretty good makes me think of getting one
