- What makes the new 2022 Honda Navi so much fun? How about this: First, it’s easy to ride, thanks to its one-speed, no-shift automatic CVT transmission. That helps make it easy to learn on too, even if you’ve never ridden a motorcycle before. Because it’s small, it’s easy to park. Some spectacular fuel efficiency makes it easy on your wallet when it comes time to fill the tank. A reliable Honda engine makes maintenance easy too-because it hardly needs any. And best of all, with its super-low price, the new Honda Navi is easy to own. So check out the mini machine that maximizes your fun-the new Honda Navi. Don’t just ride-Navi-gate your world.

It cannot be sold in India anymore because India has adopted Euro 6 level emmision standards. This bike is carburated so it cannot be sold in Europe either. It is being dumped in US market so get one NOW before they are outlawed or run out of stock.
Too bad really. India is still developing, they really shouldn't be trying to follow the emissions standards set by countries who only adopted those laws after getting rich... I'm sure getting 110mpg can't be that dirty, especially considering all the 50 year old Tuk Tuks driving around ... Is having a carburetor really the thing that discontinued this?
@@pauld.b7129 India is facing an air quality catastrophe with New Delhi consistently scoring in the top 3 most polluted cities list. They are closing schools to try to reduce traffic.
@@ShahryarSaigol...yes, but if you look at their culture, how many houses have their own personal generator that run a majority of the time. Plus, they considered themselves as "developing" for a long time and environmental controls were hinderances on their development. But now, the pollution is so bad it can't be ignored and they are forced to take drastic measures; whereas if they took action(s) 20 years (or even 10 years) ago, they wouldn't be suffering from poor air quality. Population density and poverty are also other culprits too....
@@K03sport I was not criticizing India. My point is that the Navi (and Honda CG125) built in Mexico will only be available for a very short time. They have carburated engines which are not legal for sale in new bikes in Europe and most developed countries. That is why the 125 engines in Grom, Ct125 and Super Cub were upgraded to Euro5. standard. So buy as many Navis as can get your hands on now.
Interesting, I should buy all four colors. How much were these sold for in INDIA.
Hope you doing well Duke. Would love to see you put a video up.
Good to have you back! I was discussing this bike with some friends the other day. It's awesome to see these smaller bikes come to the US! Lower barrier to entry will hopefully lead to more motorcyclists!
Thanks man! Miss riding with you guys. I actually bought a really cool race car recently that I've been doing track days on. Couldn't agree more about the mini's bringing more riders in!
Exactly 🤙🏼
Already threw down a deposit on a Grasshopper Green Navi at my local dealership! Thanks for posting such an informative review on these lil guys.
That’s awesome!! I’m sure you’re going to love it - I had a smile ear to ear the whole day we were riding
When are you getting yours?
How much of a deposit if you don’t mind me asking ?
Same
@@heytodd53074 January early
you still with us?
Killer video man! Great riding with you. Hope we can get out together again soon!
Can’t wait - thanks for the footage!
It was so awesome to get to meet you!
and it is fascinating to see how everyone else came at making their videos :D
(ps I think they're making the Navi in India, cuz they were sold in India for a while before they were discontinued there in 2019 )
It was wonderful to meet you as well!
Fab and very informative, regards from India.
I own a 2016 Dec Navi (Orange). Never had an issue and use it as a daily over 50 kms to and fro through all season - rain, summer & winter !
😮👍🏼
I love my ranger green one. great for the city! I am a big guy @ 6’1” 230lbs and is pretty comfy for everyday city distances and manouverability.
🤭
The ranger green definitely my favorite color
Can a person your size take it on a 65mph highway for a few miles of travel in the far right lane? I’m thinking of getting one and I’m about your size but need to take the highway five days a week for about 5-10 miles per day.
How fast does it go with a guy your size? I'm around the same
@@danwatkins5 I live in the Dominican Republic, so our highways are a different speed than yours. However based on my experience and size, I would never get on the freeway on the navi. Is designed for city use and I bought it for that purpose, cutting through traffic, splitting lanes (legal here). Etc
I’ve been watching Navi videos non stop for weeks now 😂 my hyper fixation is showing. Me and my buds are planning on getting some for bopping around town and are gonna go for Power Rangers vibes, so I’m eyeing that new metallic blue.
I very much enjoyed the video. At around 6:00 in the video, you mention that a ton of customization accessories will be available for the Navi. I haven't been able to find any at all so far. Since the Navi isn't going to be available in Thailand, and perhaps not even Japan, it seems possible that the aftermarket accessories for the Navi may have to come from sources different than those for the Grom and Monkey which both had a ton of accessories from Kitaco, H2C, Gcraft, and so on.
The announcement from Honda USA includes this:
"AVAILABLE ACCESSORIES
Here are a couple of ways you can make your new Navi even more fun: Why not add an optional windscreen or a rear cargo rack? And check out our available graphics kit too-it’s a great way to personalize your Navi’s look.."
Yet, the Honda dealer where I bought my Navi has no accessories at all showing as being available from Honda.. A link to where I can get the windshield, rear cargo rack and graphics kit from Honda would be much appreciated. thanks!
Nice video, looking forward for the Navi scene to lit up, there's a bunch of decals designs on the internet to customize it as well, I got mine (white color) and have been a happy camper ever since, it fits everywhere and the gas/mileage is amazing!
When it was launched in India $600 😂😂
What ever happened to DukeeofDC ? Have not heard anything for over a year ? Miss your bike reviews and first rides :)
Cool vid and great review. Great riding with you. Hopefully we do another one soon.
Thank you - Can't wait!
is there a chance they could ship it to Philippines? 🥰🥰 This is the first time I feel in love with a bike. 🥰🥰 I am a 4'9 ft. woman, and I think this would be very very great for me. hahahaha
Sounds perfect 😎
My Northern California deal set up today is:
MSRP $1807

Dealer set up 198

Tire fee 3.50
Lic/Reg 148
Elec filing 30
Doc fee 85
Total OTD $2776.93
Requested Grasshopper Green or Red
Bought a Metro and Monkey from this dealer in the past. Could get a slightly better deal in the future probably, but not worried about it. This will join the Trail 125, Super Cub, and Ruckus along with the other two I have. Need a Grom to complete the set. Something about these things....
Trail 125 is the sweetest one , I have the 21' Monkey .
I’m planning on getting one soon for my drives to work, I’ve never been on a motorcycle so I feel this would be a great start and then I’ll probably get a full on motorcycle later on.
The fact that it’s so cheap makes it great for me because in a month or two of saving up at work I’ll be able to buy it. I’m currently riding around on a regular bike so this would be a great improvement for me 😂
Did u get it yet ?
@@Enrique-peralta not yet!! Saving up currently, soon though!
exact same reason why I wanna get one, I work a night shift at a restaurant n just want something to get to work and come back home
I bought one over a e bike and I made the best decision considering how expensive e bikes are and the battery would need to be replaced eventually
after dealers get their hands on them they will be $3000 bucks
Honda is ripping us off, the Navi is about $550 US dollars in India
That looked super fun! Really enjoyed the video thoroughly! Keep up the good work!
Add taxes and other California stupid fees and I can get a use bike for that price. Don’t waste your money.
This price in all states??? Are buy online?? Need motorcycle license??
Son's Wife's new Navi delivered Dec 31 at Shawnee Honda in Oklahoma. Tops downhill at 55mph and a Blast!
Imagine a body like this for a People 250 with big tires, mid-storage and does 80mph?
Lives in blue State, 🤔 wonder why gas is so expensive?
What happened to DukeOfDC?
I can see this everywhere in Hawaii in few years.
Hey Duke! I bought your Tuono a few years back! I see you are in the LA area now. I know some great roads if you don't know the area very well. Great video!
Oh shit! You mean you bought mine like mine?! I remember that day very well. Hope the Tuono treated you well! I miss that bike to this day
@@DukeOfDC that bike served me very well! I got into a really bad accident out here and totalled it but got a 2018 Factory Tuono in its place.
@@FuzzyHead88 Sorry to hear about the accident and happy you're healthy and back on another Tuono. The truest testiment to loving a bike is buying it twice
I wonder what the 0-30 mph time is. I also wonder what the 0-30 mph time compared to grom, z125, ruckus and zuma.
Ive ridden a2 stroke Zuma for 7 years and i can tell just hy watching the acceleration is probably 20% faster then a stock Zuma.
The perfect bike to teach my wife how to ride.
I'm def buying one and wrapping it in orange as soon as I can get one of my dealer friends to secure one without all the stupid fees
I wish you would quote the real price it will take to buy this bike. On average after freight, setup, and other misc fees, it takes between $2700-3000 to buy this, if you can find one ... lol
Great little bike never the less, I was able to get one and its exactly as advertised, build to a price point but not feeling super cheap.
Do I need a motorcycle license for this ?
Yes
I weigh 225 pounds and I am 6 foot tall. Is that too much weight for this bike?
Yes I'm smaller and lighter than you and sometimes I wish I weighed less get a bigger bike with some mote power or and E bike
Out of the dealer is almost U$ 3000...Crazy for 109cc.
That's what I paid. others wanted 3400 and 3200 shop around if u want I think fair in America on the west coast would be 2700
They look lots of fun ! but if I can only afford to have one Bike ! I rather spend more on a Dual Sport !
Or you could just save some money and through some knobby tires on the Navi
Good to see that you’re back bud! Hope you’re doing well.
kudos to Honda for thinking of buyers on a tight budget

This is not a motorcycle, it’s a scooter with a motorcycle aesthetic
Hi their, honda navi is near 800us in india when it was but, no fuel meter yeah but its fun to ride but if its coming with better features than its gonna be litt 🔥
damn this thing costs like 900 dollars here in India...tho it is basically a activa in grom form.
@Vito Corleone it still says ₹57k on road and that converted is 764 dollars and this is on road .... including all hidden costs ...so I'm not sure actually as it feels too cheap
@Vito Corleone it does sound suspiciously low so I did increase the price...but that's what it says...I don't question you about that it's just what it says you or I might be right. My Jupiter on road costed 75k tho indeed the higher spec in 2019 so yes 50 feels impossible.
I am planning to buy one, wheel base 3.5 inches longer than the grom and 15 lbs lighter.
I heard they didn't go over that great in india, but a lot ov exitement in north america, great vid thanks!
In India, 2 wheelers are used for transportation extensively. Navi is just the worst in that regard. On a common scooter people carry stuff on the foot board and in the under seat storage. Also one scooter is used by the family. Sometimes the wife would use it to go to the grocery store sometimes the kid would go use it.
Navi would never appeal to the entire family it's to funky and impractical. Also Indian women wear saree which necessitates step through design.
I was going to get a grom but honestly I think I might go for a Navi instead. I just want mine for going to work and joy riding.
In canada it costs2300.oo+ 600 fraight, +$300 paper work ,plus 12% gst tax..=$3584.oo
"bikes that cost orders of magnitude more" 1,800 vs 18,000 is only one order of magnitude...
it would be Fun to 'customize'!!! i'd like 'Ape bars'..& a Long Sissy Bar..behind that back seat!...just a few thoughts!...LOL! Price 'Unbeatable'!!!! Cheers From Canada!
So, this is cheaper than the mountain bike I was looking at. 🤔 Motorcycle tech has been fairly consistent for a while and I'm surprised they cost as much as they do. However, even at $1800-1900, I would still rather pay double and get the Grom...but that's just me.
Exactly, fuel injection, disk brakes, and 12 inch rear wheel will make tire shopping much easier. The new engine n 5 speed trans are also vastly better.
Grom is unusable in the city traffic.. with the combination of no power and manual gearbox.
@@absolutiumHmm never even thought of that.
What a great video. I recently got mine in the US. I love it. I have one in Nicaragua and they sell at 1500.00 US dollars and come with a helmet. With high gas prices in the US this motorcycle will save me tons of money. Thanks for the review. I really enjoy it.
Yes! 🤑
crazy that these were like US$800 in India and they didn't care for it. Honda is smart bringing it to the US and jacking up the price like crazy.
But one more thing yeah, its way better than those chinese scooter motorcycle i saw in us videos, this is way better than those crap shit, you can custimize it how ever you want
Didn't everyone in the US hate the Grom for being too slow?
Maybe at first, but their popularity has grown incredibly and they now have a cult following
@@DukeOfDC I meant that in a currentish standpoint, even something like the R7 is too slow for many people in the US.
Ah yes, the lost nuances in RUclips comments haha. I personally care more about weight than speed
@@Daniel-dj7fh R7 ??
@@ratoneJR Yes many are complaining that it's not good enough to replace the R6, altho they're completely different concepts.
The 1807 price is just not true ! The dealers are gouging people between $500 and $1000 over that ! I was lucky and bought a 2022 from a big man that wanted to get rid of it for $1600 , it rides great and is fun
I don't think anybody pay $1807 that is the basic price the dealing Will add $1500 and the tax tile and tag some $3200 other $4200
Carb drum brakes analogue display etc where cost cutting happened
Welcome back, Duke! 🙌🙌 1 year, 3 months and two weeks to the day - but who's counting! 😜
Lolol I love it
Do you need a license for this?.. Thinking about getting a bike this summer. Don't have my full license though lol. Also, I'm too broke to buy a car 😅. I do know how to drive car.
Love this bike
Now the best budget way to get my 260 as s from 40 mph to 50-55 mph
I looked up Honda online there's like a $200 charge to get it to your dealer there's another $100 charge the bar on the back is also extra like $60 and then you have to pay tax it's about $2,300 not $1,800 . I do see on their website that's the base price but what good is the base price you're not going to go to the factory and pick it up you have to get it at the dealer .
Thought you guys all might find this useful, I bought one last month, not due in until March or so. $1807 MSRP, license/reg $58.61, Doc Fee $289, Freight is $300 now, sales tax $177.58, bike setup $99. $2731.19 is my all-in, out the door price. I ordered the dark green, they can't promise me I will get that color but I have the choice to wait for it if I really want it, but I'm good with Honda Red as well. A $200 deposit was all that was required.
Sweet! Congrats man... I think I need one 👻
What dealer did you get from did they charge any dealer markup
@@ballejosRB11 Western Honda Powersports in South Scottsdale. I actually just paid for my bike and it's set up and I'm picking it up tomorrow. It's a thing of beauty in person, a lot of little things I didn't even know were part of it, I basically bought it on a whim without doing much research. They added no dealer markup, but the one thing that pissed me off was I put my down payment in last December and in January of this year Honda changed the setup fee from 100 to 200, and the dealership forced me to pay $200 instead of 100, I thought that was a little cheap of the dealership.
@@russellphotos195 thanks sir here in California they all add Mark up I want one but think it's going to be around 3300
@@ballejosRB11 Yeah it really all does depend. I paid a total of $2,800 for my bike. If I were to have bought it in North Scottsdale, I would have most likely paid $3,700 out the door. I have seen huge discrepancies in markup, and California is definitely a more expensive state, all said and done, $3,300 isn't too bad for a little bike like this, although I will get back to you in the next couple of months on how it performs and if there are any issues, kind of crappy timing that summer just arrived but this thing is mostly for early morning drives.
I would like to buy one but unfortunately the Honda Navi is not intended for Europe, for work driving and for swimming (lake) driving.
How much over $1,807.00 did you pay? My dealer markup is $660.00… 35% markup…
I’m seriously thinking of getting one for a mini adv bike for my local area. The kick start and storage are a big plus.
There is no way you could get this out the door for less than $3200. That price is just to fool you in getting you in the dealership. Then they charge you for all the B.S. And be careful not to scratche your balls or the dealer will charge you for it.
Watched this great video and went to my dealer the next day and put a deposit down on one. My dealer hadn't even heard of this bike yet. When are they supposed to be available?
OMMMMMMMMMG I want one. I keep saying I'm not going to get one, and I keep watching videos, going on the website and planning lol
You should get a Monkey .
@@joecamel6835 I love that one too. I love Honda. I think I may get a Rebel 500 :D
This can change the delivery game in cities in america
Great review. I want to get one by next summer, in addition to my Honda CTX700n
$1,807 is base MSRP. Add in the non-negotiable freight/destination that's listed directly on Honda's Navi page and Sales tax, you're at $2400 MINIMUM. There are going for closer to $2,900 out the door, and many are well over $3,000.
$3000 wtf
That's a little high, you can get a good used R3 for that. Dealers need to be lowering their fees if they want to stay in business. As of a month ago, the national stats(in the U.S. anyway)reported that 27 percent of motorcycles registered are 13 years older. Shows people are buying more older bikes which is probably due to dealers upping the fees and newer bike prices in general. I'd love a little Grom a Navi to cruise around town, but I wouldn't be paying 3 grand for a Navi..I'd just get a good used R3
1800 no it's 2500-3000 dollaps and my broke ass is saving up to buy one
What's the weight capacity I'm 320 lol can I ride one lol 😆
Yeah it's $3,000 out the door so it's not $1,807
4500.00 dollars in dearborn heights michigan. SHAME ON YOU HONDA USA.
@@wilde.coyote6618 wtf??? I live about 20 minutes away from Dearborn, but that's horrible, how can they get away with this? That's like 3 grand added on!
I regret selling my grom. Price point makes me want a navi. I have everything from a nm4, bussa up to a gl1800 but these small bikes are just fn fun.
I'm in a similar situation. I no longer have a grom but I have a couple other big bikes and I definitely find the Honda Navi appealing almost a better bang for the buck than the grom was... I miss scooting around on my old Ruckus also
Insurance on a Navi: $111.......per year, LOL!
Yall doin big things💕 we r NAVINATION#
Only downside is that these are gonna be Hella tempting to steal and probably easy too since it’s light as hell
Full coverage isn't expensive .
Since resale value of used models is really stable due to fuel prices and some retailers fees.. it is unlikely that an illegal market for the vehicle develops.. there is not much margin to make a business from a 2k vehicle.
Yeah... Well , the dealership ripped me off for 3k on the Navi...
It bc actually only costs Honda around 500 dollars to makebthese
I Like IT! Something you can carry on the van and have just in case.
Dude, this thing with a 50cc Minerelli 2 stroke would be awesome. It would have so much more modding potential. The ability to use existing performance parts from scooters would have been a cool selling point. Exhausts, big bore kits, variators and transmission kits, kind of a missed opportunity. But this is how it was made for India so I think theyre just trying to get their R&D back now.
Motorcyles cannot be sold with 2 stroke engines anymore due to emissions regulations.
@@BananaMana69 You can still buy a minerelli engine and put it into whatever you want.
@@pauld.b7129 Does minerelli make bugger then 50cc engines with 90cc heads? I think 2 stroke Navi would be sick, but it wouldn't be any faster unless theres bigger engines.

wow!! Thank you for the information. Too bad I still need license to ride it. 😭 I failed test and now scares me more to go back to try again. It would been great help if beginners have chance to build the experience with those kinds bike.
Don’t be discouraged! Get back out there and give it one more chance. Stay focused, listen to your instructor, and trust the bike :)
Honestly since you already went through it once, you’re most likely going to be able to do better the second time around. I’d say give it a shot
Can find a used Buell Blast for under $1600 as well. Very easy to ride 500cc bike.
What about the MSF rider course? If you take that you don't need the test, right? That's what I did, but that was 25 years ago... 😕
@@K03sport I took the MSF, felt much more at ease than going to the RMV to take the test. MSF instructors really care since that's their specialty, RMV workers don't see how much you've learned and are just there to get everyone scheduled that day done. Recommend MSF, took it about 6 months ago. 9 of us there, all passed
Where im from the navi will cost around 3,000 Puerto Rico 😑
My pcx 150 cost me 5,500 but im falling in love with the navi
Yea right more like 5k. In New York there going for 2,500-3,500 out the door with all the dealer fees.
Honda knows you need to attract new riders and people who might never look at a regular bike . I am old enough to remember the 60cc Honda Cubs that brought them millions of new riders . Leave it to Honda to save the rest of the motorcycle industry.
Or they have a huge production capacity in India with a failed project 🤷🏼♂️
No shit... when gas prices are on the rise the mini motos are gonna be top dog.
I’m 7’2 290lb, do you think this is too small?
Damn, I want that modded blue one something fierce!
i want the navi with the groms engine, grom looks ugly as shit.
So you are calling it a motorcycle. Most American riders call this a scooter. Has an automatic CVT engine that is mounted on the swingarm.
Idk what I’m calling it, but Honda is calling it a motorcycle
I'm looking into the navi as my first motorcyle
Too bad these will wind up nearly double the msrp once the dealers get all their fees. If I can find a shop that doesn't want an arm and a leg in fees, I'll snag one up.
We're lucky to have some great dealerships near me that are pretty solid about lowering or eliminating their fees
@@DukeOfDC It's funny, I have a good relationship with my dealer having formerly worked there. Matter of fact, I worked with you when you shot some videos there in conjunction with Rollick (Yamaha Niken GT being one). The market is so crazy that this shop isn't really dealing on anything because of the short supply and this company has some of the highest freight/prep fees in the industry. My friend who still works there did mention the new corporate entity that has recently taken over is not a big fan of high fees and likes to operate on volume (which currently is not possible due to low supply). We'll see how that goes...
If I can swing a deal at a reasonable price, I think I'll snag one. Hopefully, Honda can get these into dealers in decent number since they are built in Mexico (no waiting for the literal slow boat stuck off shore) and they are less reliant on computer chips than more complex machines. Crossing my fingers, anyway.
