Thnk you I treid a number of times and this got me going , not quitting my day job to sew but fixed the items I needed for way less than taking to a seamstress
Thank you so much for making these videos! I bought new sewing machines for three of my granddaughters for Christmas and needed a reminder for how to use them so I can teach the girls!💜
Best one I've seen for the threading. Thank you so much! I used to thread my grandmother's as a child and haven't done since, so I really appreciate it and you made it easy for me to see what you were doing!
Your videos have been SOOO helpful! Saturday I watched and learned/practiced. By Sunday I had completed a beautiful runner and 4 placemats for my table! Thank you so much! I used a mesh see through fabric with beautiful flowers and vines over a sage fabric, it came out so nice. I can't wait to make more
Hallelujah you are a God sent. The other video was great but I got stuck a few times and then you created the close up video. Now I realize it was user error 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Thank you Excellent job ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Thank you! I don't know Jack about sewing but I'm trying to learn So I can fix my work pants that I'm always ripping up. I still seem to be struggling with the bottom thread though. Do you have one of these videos? That's a close-up of doing the bottom and getting the bottom to pull up with the top?
Thanks for BOTH of your videos, they are very helpful. However, I have one question: In the first video you say the thread should feed off the back of the spool but here you are feeding it over in the front of the spool ... I'm guessing both ways will work but to be sure, will one way work better than the other? Thank you!

Lol, EVERYTHING😂 It really depends on what kind of things you want to see. I mostly do quilts, so a cutting mat, rotary cutter and lots of different rulers would be top of my list. I really use the cone thread holder a lot.
Well. You cannot drop the feed dogs on this machine, you have to use a cover. I have not tried it with a free motion foot, but I’m guessing it would not be ideal.
@@momdoesstuff thank you for your very quick response. I’m new to sewing. The feed dogs are under the plastic cover? Could you possibly do a quick video? I’m mainly using the machine for art and I know there are thousands of people who use sewing machines for art not making garments. Untapped audience would love to know creative ways to use the simple little machines. Thank you!!!
Something is causing top and bottom thread not to connect to sew. What is doing that I have been trying over & over rethreading step by step & adjusting tension part from 0-4 trying to get it back to normal.
For someone new to sewing this is frustrating. The instruction booklet shows that you’re supposed to run the thread from the top right to the part on the top left and then down the left side of the machine. Your instructions go from the top right down to the side.
after I purchased my sewing machine I felt like a total failure. I thought it can't be that difficult and I know that I have the brains to do it, but I could not get this thing figured out. Thank you so much for these detailed videos, they are great. One suggestion, maybe pause after certain directions. Like I had a hard time after 3, but I finally got it. It would have been easier if I didn't have to rewind so much. Anyway, thank you, you're awesome
Excellent tutorial!! 😅I was so nervous but your videos have made a huge impact on my sewing journey! Thank you 🙏
Thank you for the good, close-up visuals and very thorough explanations.
You’re very welcome! Thanks for watching ☺️

Good job! I’m not quitting my day job either, 😂but it is nice not to have to depend on someone else to sew

do you have a "must have" accessories recommendations list or kit for beginners? I have a brother lx3817.

Thank you for the detailed instructions. Do you know if this little brother machine will do free motion sewing?

Thread keeps coming out of needle
Try pulling out a longer thread tail
@@momdoesstuff no still2 not sewing together right

I'm so sorry you're having trouble! Have you gotten it worked out yet?
@@momdoesstuff Hello and thanks for the reply. I did eventually figure out that the instructions were for first spooling a bobbin.
@@momdoesstuff Now if I can just figure out how best to sew a long straight line. 😅
