Thank you, that was so helpful. I bought this sewing machine for my granddaughter, but they didn't want to keep it at her house. I rarely sew and it's probably been a year since I used the sewing machine. I really wouldn't have threaded it correctly, without your instruction.
Thank you so much!!! I just got this sewing machine from my sister as a gift and I didn't know how to thread this particular brand I appreciate your work!!!
I found a Brother sewing machine for 25 dollars at my local thrift store that's somehow had the diagram on it worn off. Your video is a lifesaver. Thank you so much for this!
I was a complete novice about sewing machines and I bought a Brother LX17, which has turned out to be very useful. But the user guide is anything but helpful! I've been struggling for 7 years to get the threading right, but two little tips in your video helped enormously. One: the correct way to thread the needle. And Two: inserting the bobbin. It was kind of an "aha" moment and I immediately paused the video and got out my sewing machine. I've just done three test sews without having to retread the needle! The problem in the Brother documentation is that the illustrations are too small so you can't see the detail. Also, the use of the thread cutter, well, it's not just handy, but it gives exactly the right length of thread left. I was using scissors to cut the thread.
I just bought a little Brother sewing machine. Very nice demo. Just a few things that could be tweaked: When her fingers get in the way they blocked the instruction. Also a little magnification on the demo would work wonders. Still, it's clear and concise and that's what really counts. Thank you.
thank you. I was having trouble with my thread nesting. It was because I had it wrong up around the silver do-hicky. Once I corrected that the nesting seemed to go away. My xm2701 will automatically pick up the thread bobbin without me having to pull it up. Just have to make sure and put it in the little curved area.
I had this same problem before. Make sure you placed your threaded bobbin down first. Manually bring the needle down two or three times. You should see a loop form underneath the foot. If no loop has formed you might see a small string sticking up from the bobbin hole. Pull on that with tweezers or your scissors very very carefully and you should have two strings pulled out. One from the needle and one from the bobbin.
Some Zoom and some decent lightning would have helped immensely. Your side of the machine is all dark until you finally turn the machine (and light) back on. That's my biggest gripe with Brother anyway--you can't see crap while using it unless you have a mini-flashlight on hand. Otherwise, you have to spend mega-bucks to get a computerized model with a large color display just to see the stitches. Would take mine back in a heartbeat and stick with my old 1950 White if I could.
ok, after fighting with the LOGIC behind this concerning getting the second thread from underneath to come to the needle area, I learned by trial and error, to reverse the turning of the right handle, so backward instead of forward, which will then catch the thread under the needle...
I have one and I really could not learn how to use it (the instructions are not easy to understand and there are a few steps to follow) I find threading the needle manually so much easier!

5:18 you skipped something. In the clip previous, the bobbin thread wasnt like that, and I can't get it like that. I can't get two threads to come up. 😩
That's cause her pointless apology for having her fingers in the way not withstanding, SHE LEFT THEM IN THE WAY!!! I literally can not figure out how the fuck she got the string to go up to where it would even be reachable by the needle! Something is most def missing! that string is somehow suddenly up by the needle and we never see how it got there!
I just had this exact machine given to me. I have no idea how to use a sewing machine. This is incredibly confusing to me. Can anyone please direct me to a beginner friendly (all the details) I don’t even know what a bobbin (or it’s purpose) is. But I’m determined to learn. Lol thanks 🙏
The bobbin thread is never far enough back to be caught by the needle. I’m so frustrated because I don’t understand why it looks perfect but is not in proper position anyways.
Not clear at all. Don't use white thread on a white background when you are demonstrating something. Like wise zoom in. "You can't see it, but do something to the bit you can't see and if you can't find it at home wiggle a different bit". That was so unhelpful.

oh wow that makes me grateful that mine are engraved on the machine
THANK YOU!!! You made it sew easy!!😂 The directions that came with the machine had me lost!!!
Thank you so much! That was one of the best videos on threading a sewing machine I have found. I appreciate it!
Awesome! I received my machine and the instruction video was headache for threading the machine. You are a life saver thank you!

You are awesome for this video! I may have said that previously but Thanks again! I needed a refresher on loading the bobbin.
Well made video
I took lessons 10 years ago in school and needed a refresher and the video you made helped a lot

Thank you so much I got this sewing machine years ago and could never figure out how to get it threaded correctly.
a friend gave me a brother machine but I have never used a newer machine so this helped a lot, thank you

Thanks for your feedback, glad you liked it!
Life saver 🙌 i couldn't figure it out by reading the manual but you helped out so much ❤
Thanks for the video. It has been a while since I have used my sewing machine. Very easy to follow
Thank you so much, I always wanted to sew but I never new how to, this was so much easier than I thought!💕

6:10 what loop? Nothing happened for me. And where did you get two strings from. Ugh this is so frustrating
Addison Dolensek same!!! This is the third tutorial I’ve watched and the bobbin thread is not in a place to get caught by the needle. At all.

You do realize that the little grey tab on the left is a needle threader?!?! Makes threading the needle super easy!!!

If it is a xm2701 try and after inserting the bobbin, follow through till it is in the curved area and then do a quick test stitch.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

You probably have the presser foot up. Put it down before you step on the pedal.
